Redd nodded his head before he followed Redd inside the house. The two walked toward the old man's room before he opened the door.
Although Redd can enter the room and he does, he never really explores it since he knows Lodra doesn't like that.
The place was organized, not too much to the point of being clean but also not too chaotic. Just barely enough. In fact, that was a common pattern with Lodra that Redd noticed. Every task he does, he always does it barely enough to not turn out bad.
Redd didn't understand why the old man would do that. For example, if he cooks food, he always does it barely enough to be eaten and not thrown in the trash. Or when he washes the dishes, the result isn't perfect but good enough.
Perhaps it had something to do with his childhood or maybe it's just a subconscious thing. Redd didn't know and he assumed he never will.
The old man then walked toward the side of his bed before he bent down and pulled something from underneath the bed. What he pulled out was an elongated wooden box.
The wood it was made of looked shiny and polished, easily discerned as high quality from one glance. On the side of that box was a golden locker with a beautiful red flower engraved on it.
"What's that?" Redd asked.
"This… Is your new weapon." Lodra said as he put the box on the bed and then he moved his hand to his neck before pulling out a necklace he always wore.
"Woah! You had something like that all this time?!" Redd blinked in shock.
He had lived with this old man all his life and he never knew he had a necklace under his clothes.
"You never asked," Lodra said as he looked at the necklace's end. There, a golden key with the same red flower engraving was linked to the string chain.
Then, using that key, he opened the box's lid, revealing a cushioned interior, all in a beautiful red color. Resting on that pillow-like cushion was an object, wrapped in a white cloth.
Redd looked at this thing with curious eyes. Something about this thing -that he still didn't even know what it was yet- attracted him.
He looked at it silently for a while before he shifted to Lodra. The latter had a complicated gaze on his face. Neither of them moved to pull the object out.
After a while, Lodra sighed before he grabbed the white object and pulled it out. Then, with his hand, he traced the object as if he was trying to remember something.
Before long, he pulled the cloth away, revealing a majestic, long spear. It's deep red and yet beautiful form completely took Redd's breath away. The shaft was made of a shining red material that seemed to almost pulsate with a subtle inner glow, reminiscent of flowing blood. A beautiful set of engravings was carved into the spear, creating a piece of art that looked as beautiful as it was deadly.
Its pointed tip gleams with a razor-sharp edge that made Redd feel like he was about to get cut by merely looking at it.
"This one is called Crimsonmorph. It's a very beautiful spear, one of the best actually. It's previous user loved it greatly and so I made sure to keep it safe in his stead after he left."
Redd kept looking at the spear dazedly for a while which made Lodra call for him. Finally, the young boy spoke.
"Can I?" He said as he extended his hand to the spear.
"Go ahead," Lodra said before he handed him the spear.
Redd gulped down before he grabbed it and looked at it. Since Redd was rather short in height, he had to grab the spear horizontally or it would've hit the ground.

"Woah! This thing is… it's insane!!" Redd exclaimed when he read the content. Although he didn't understand a good chunk of it, the aspects alone made his jaw drop.
'It has an aspect similar to mine. But it's called Blood Eater instead of Blood Drinker. Why is that I wonder? Uh, whatever! It can even shapeshift!' He thought to himself.
"That's an enchanted weapon so of course it will be strong. However, you can see the progress bar that says 0/100, right?"
"Yes."
"If you kill monsters, the spear will consume some experience points with you and fill that progress bar up. When it's filled, the rank of the spear will go from 5 to 4. In other words, it will grow stronger the more you kill with it. The more you kill, the stronger it becomes."
"I see. Wait, is an enchanted weapon the strongest type?" Redd asked.
"Not even close. There 5 more ranks higher than that: Mythic, Divine, Ethereal, Celestial, and finally Exalted. Well, the last three are a legend, I have never personally seen any weapon of that rank as they are capable of altering this very world we're living in. Hell, a Divine weapon is strong enough to slice an island in half if used in the right hands."
"Oh, well, since this spear can grow in strength, does that mean that it's possible for it to reach that level of strength given the perfect conditions?" Redd's eyes sparkled with innocent curiosity.
"Well, that's for you to discover."
"Wait… you mean."
"Yes, this spear is now yours. I give it to you and I hope you will take care of it just like I took care of it." Lodra said with a small smile.
At first, Redd thought Lodra was just lending him the spear to train. He never expected he would give it to him.
"Thank you, Lodra! I will definitely cherish it!"
"You better do, kid. Or I will hunt you down and beat you up. Now, this isn't the only thing this spear can do. It can also change form into a sword and back using a small amount of Aether. Try it."
Redd nodded his head as he looked at the spear with a focused glare. A second later, the spear's form began to shift, its metal rippled like liquid. Redd watched the mesmerizing dance that occurred in the palm of his hand. The shaft elongated and divided, the blade subtly reshaped until it took the form of a gleaming red sword that looked very similar to the spear in design. The hilt was wrapped in a crimson-hued leather grip, seamlessly integrated with the blade. The weapon exuded the same majestic aura of the spear.
"Woah…" Redd murmured as he looked at the weapon in his hand.
