Coton drew a deep breath as he landed on the ground. He looked around and made sure nobody was there before revealing himself from the shadows.
"I thought he didn't want her to know he was following him. Why would he show up and make up a lie about their relationship?" Coton mumbled as he walked and sat at an empty table in the tavern. He hadn't eaten anything, so he thought of ordering something when someone grabbed his shoulder.
"Who is it — your grace?" Coton exclaimed. His face was then filled with confusion when he realized something. "Didn't you come to see the lady next door?"
Damian sat in front of his aide with his brows furrowed. "What do you mean? I've been waiting here for your update. Did something happen?"
Coton stood up and slammed his hands on the table. "This is bad. The lady went to meet someone who claimed to be her husband. I thought it was you," he explained in a hurry.
