Chapter 8 - chapter 8 : An unexpected encounter

The plane landed silently 100 meters from the landing site. Azaku, Maki and Merphis, equipped with their sophisticated suits, exited the plane carefully. Each of them advanced cautiously, armed with special firearms, carefully scanning every corner of the street to avoid any surprise attacks. Their senses were on alert, ready to react to the slightest threat as they progressed through the darkness of the night, their crucial mission beginning in this hostile and unpredictable environment. The team moved forward cautiously, everyone equipped with thermal vision built into their suits, except Merphis. As a dragon, his nature allowed him to see in the dark with disconcerting ease, thus dispensing with this additional equipment. They reached a gloomy warehouse, filled with the corpses of innocent people, all killed in a gruesome manner. It was obvious that something supernatural and sinister was going on here. The bodies seemed drained of their vital energy, disembowelled in a macabre ritual.

Horror was written on the team's faces as they realized the cruelty of their opponents. Azaku began scanning the surroundings with his technological tools, looking for clues to the identity of the culprits and their sinister intentions. Maki and Merphis stood ready, their weapons in hand, ready to react to the slightest sign of danger. The tension was palpable in the air, and the darkness of the warehouse seemed to amplify the feeling of horror that weighed on them. They were ready to face the unknown, determined to end this grim massacre and arrest those responsible for these atrocities.

When Maki began to analyze one of the victims, suddenly one of them, weakly clinging to life, grabbed her arm with desperate force. The victim managed to articulate in a weak, broken voice: "Madam, please, you must leave here before it is too late."

A shiver of fear ran through the team upon hearing the victim's words. It was a terrifying and cryptic warning. Maki, shocked but resolute, replied in a trembling voice, "Who did this? Who is responsible for these atrocities?"

The victim, his eyes filled with terror, faintly whispered: "The Shadows... They are coming to harvest our souls... Flee while there is still time..."

The team members exchanged worried glances. The victim's words seemed prophetic and alarming. They now understood that they were facing a dark and mysterious force, the Shadows, and that their mission was far more sinister and complex than they had imagined. They were now faced with a supernatural and formidable enemy, and their determination to end this nightmare intensified.

The victim suddenly lost his life, exhaling a strange cloud of dark smoke from his mouth. In an instant, five terrifying shadows appeared, each shadow measuring more than two meters in height. They held a scythe in their hands, their fingers were equipped with sharp claws, ready to attack. The Shadows were there, before them, ready to challenge them. Azaku, Maki and Merphis quickly prepared themselves, their determination transforming into a fierce will to fight this threat. They knew that these creatures were not ordinary and that they had to use caution and ingenuity to defeat them. The Shadows rushed to attack, but Merphis reacted quickly. Using his fire power, he propelled the Shadows away, keeping them at bay. Taking advantage of a break in the battle, he turned to Azaku and Maki, speaking to them in a firm voice despite the urgency of the situation: "Look, Shadows have intangible properties. With your technological skills, you won't be able to never touch them. It's best to use your mythic powers right away, it's our only chance to defeat them."

Maki concentrated intently, summoning her mythic power. In a flash, she took the form of a three-tailed humanoid fox, her eyes glowing with an unearthly glow. At his side, Azaku channeled the power of Genghis Khan, transforming into a tall, muscular warrior holding a massive hammer, ready to unleash his might on the Shadows. With impressive speed, Maki moved behind the Shadows in an instant. Thanks to her mythical power to manipulate lightning, she projected a huge electrical discharge onto the Shadows. Despite their intangible nature, Maki managed to severely injure them. Two of them were thrown violently against the wall, while the other two rushed towards Merphis, ready to attack her. Meanwhile, the last remaining Shadow prepared to face Azaku , Azaku rushed at the remaining Shadow, smashing him violently into the ground with a massive punch. He then amplified his hammer with his mythical power "The Enraged Strike", unleashing a devastating energy. The Shadow was hit by a powerful energy wave and was completely destroyed, disappearing into nothingness. However, the incomprehensible happened when, after the Shadow disappeared, three more suddenly appeared. Azaku was stunned by this strange situation, wondering how these Shadows could have appeared out of nowhere after he had eliminated the last one.

Merphis skillfully dodged the attacks of the two Shadows, moving around them with the agility of a dragon. With a precise gesture, he cut them into pieces, putting an end to their existence. However, to their great surprise, three other Shadows appeared immediately after Merphis had eliminated the previous two. Understanding that he must find the source of this endless appearance, Merphis activated his dragon eye, analyzing the alchemical energy of these Shadows. With his power, he finally discerned the reason why the Shadows continued to appear , Merphis cried out with determination, "These Shadows are constantly duplicating themselves, Azaku and Maki, as their alchemical energy reveals that they are merely minions summoned by a later person. We need to find out who is causing this." Azaku asked, "Isn't there another way to get rid of these Shadows once and for all?" Merphis replied, "Yes, there is a way. When these Shadows disappear, they leave behind remnants of their alchemical energy. The summoner uses this remnant energy to create an alchemical reaction to recreate the same type of energy. 'Shadow. The solution is simple: destroy them completely, without leaving any debris. To do this, you must immobilize them so that I can destroy them once and for all.' Maki added with determination, "It's like it's done, Merphis. Let's go."

Maki skillfully used her mythic power to create illusions in the Shadows' minds, convincing them that they had won and tricking them into remaining motionless in their places. Meanwhile, Merphis, with her ice power, froze half of the Shadows' bodies, completely immobilizing them. With a determined gesture, he launched his attack, shouting: "The dragon oracle [first phase] - plasma energy!" Six balls of plasma energy were released, rushing towards the immobilized Shadows. Upon impact, the Shadows were completely disintegrated, leaving no trace of their sudden appearance. Their existence was erased, and the team no longer had to face this threat.

- Azaku wondered: "It's strange, why would you want to extract the vital energy from beings as banal as them? And above all, why disembowel them?"

- Maki thought for a moment, then replied, "Whatever it is, whoever did this is definitely up to no good."

- Merchis continued, her voice laced with determination, "The Shadows have been sent to do their dirty work for them so that they are not exposed. But now that we have succeeded in annihilating their pawns, we must seek out the real culprits behind this massacre. They must be stopped before they can cause further damage."

The team was united in their resolve. They knew their mission had only just begun. Determined to uncover the truth behind these sinister acts, they prepared to follow the clues and hunt down the culprits. Their quest for justice was far from over, but they were ready to face whatever stood in their way to protect their world from this growing darkness.

Merphis, Azaku and Maki ran at full speed to leave the warehouse, hoping to resume their mission quickly. However, upon their exit, they witnessed a macabre spectacle. All members of the Silent Lions organization had been violently massacred. Traces of organs were strewn all over the ground, and huge amounts of blood had been spilled.

Shock and horror were painted on the faces of the three companions. It was merciless carnage, a scene of unspeakable violence. They looked at each other, understanding the magnitude of the threat they faced. It was clear that the perpetrators of these acts were ruthless and ruthless enemies, willing to do anything to achieve their dark goals.

Merphis clenched her fists, her anger mingling with her determination. "We must stop them, whatever the cost," he declared in a firm voice. Azaku and Maki nodded silently, sharing the same feeling of vengeance and justice.

They knew their mission had taken an even darker and more urgent turn. The quest to uncover the truth and stop those responsible had become a personal mission, a fight for the survival of their organization and their world. With a mixture of determination and fury, they prepared to hunt down the murderers and put an end to this relentless wave of violence.

Suddenly, Azaku, hit hard, collapsed screaming in pain, his bloody hand pressing his injured arm. Merphis and Maki watched in horror as the merciless attack had just deprived their companion of his left arm. Merphis, alert, drew her sword while Maki prepared to attack. They were trapped, facing an invisible enemy. The female voice mocked them from the shadows. Azaku, injured but determined, stood up despite the pain, ready to defend himself. Merphis, peering into the darkness, spoke in a firm voice: "Show yourself, cowards! We will not be your next victims without a fight." female voice burst out laughing, full of cruelty. Suddenly, a shadow appears, attacking lemur with incredible speed. Merphis intervenes and narrowly blocks the attack and retaliates, but the attacker skillfully evades.

Merphis, Maki, and Azaku found themselves facing three figures emerging from the shadows, each wearing a sinister and determined look.

The first individual, dressed in traditional Arab clothing, had an inscrutable look and an enigmatic smile. He emanated an aura of power and self-confidence, indicating that he was a formidable opponent.

The pale-skinned lady, sporting bright red lipstick and holding a fan in her right hand, had an icy and calculating gaze. His eyes seemed to pierce into the souls of his enemies, revealing a keen intelligence and strategic mind.

Finally, Oswald, the individual Merphis had met while protecting Aika, stood there, his impassive expression betraying his complete lack of scruples. It was clear that he had a key role in this coordinated attack.

Faced with these formidable opponents, Merphis, Maki, and Azaku prepared for the confrontation. They knew the coming battle would be intense and test their resolve, but they were prepared to fight to the end to protect their loved ones and put an end to this sinister threat looming over their world. The tension was palpable as they prepared for the assault.

Despite the cruel mockery of their enemies, Merphis, Maki and Azaku remained firm and determined. Their gazes were filled with resolve, refusing to bend in the face of the arrogance of their opponents. Merphis, his voice full of defiance, replied: "No matter what you think of us, we will fight until our last breath to protect what we believe in. You can kill our comrades, but our resolve will not waver in the face of your cruelty." Maki, her eyes shining with a fierce gleam, added: "Your contempt only strengthens our resolve. We will not flee . We will stay here and make you pay for every life you have taken."Azaku, despite his pain, raised his head with pride. "We are stronger than you think. Our unity and our will to fight are our greatest strengths. Prepare to be surprised by the tenacity of the 'wretches' you underestimate."

In a tense exchange, Griselda, with disconcerting calm, introduced herself as the founder of the extremist organization, flanked by Oswald and Har'aarm. Merphis, unconcerned about his identity, claimed that they knew his past perfectly, but that it was of no importance to him. He insisted that she would pay for her inhumane actions. A graceful smile appeared on Griselda's lips, hidden behind her fan. In a laugh that echoed through the room like a royal echo, she replied with icy contempt: "If you want to die so ardently, so be it." A heavy silence enveloped the scene, presaging the imminent confrontation between these diametrically opposed forces.

Griselda, getting up with a sardonic smile, licked the blood that flowed from her mouth following the violent blow. "Impressive," she said in an almost admiring tone. "You managed to counter our attacks, even if they are at the speed of light. But believe me, it's only just beginning. We still have many tricks up our sleeves." His gaze sparkled with fierce determination, ready to resume the fight with renewed intensity. In the tense silence that enveloped the scene, the three founders of the extremist organization prepared to face Maki, Merphis and Azaku, the latter visibly injured but determined. The looks were full of determination and palpable energy. You could feel the electric anticipation in the air, foreshadowing a confrontation with potentially tragic consequences. The protagonists stared at each other, ready to unleash all their power in this decisive fight that would soon break out.

Merphis, Maki and Azaku, with impressive synchronization, skillfully dodged the devastating attack of shadow spears thrown by Griselda. Their coordinated movements demonstrated their agility and their ability to anticipate the attacks of their enemies. The sudden sneak attack from the shadows left Azaku and Maki seriously injured. Azaku, hit in the abdomen, collapsed to the ground, clutching his wound with a face contorted in pain. Maki, in intense pain, tried to hold back her screams by holding her foot, where the spear had stuck. Merphis, reacting quickly, deployed her aura to disintegrate the remaining spears. His gaze expressed increased determination as he prepared to retaliate.

- Griselda, with a manipulative smile, explained the ins and outs of her power. "My power lies in the manipulation of shadows. I can create anything from the darkness around me. Additionally, the shadows of my opponents become my allies, allowing me to launch surprise attacks from any Or."

Merphis, focusing his healing power, channeled her energy to heal Azaku and Maki's severe injuries. A calming glow emanated from his hands, creating a healing cocoon around his injured friends. The situation took a dark turn as Azaku was taken away by har'aarm and Maki by Griselda

The situation was becoming more and more critical with Azaku and Maki separated from Merphis and confronted by Har'aarm and Griselda. Despite their serious injuries, Azaku and Maki were determined to hold on .
