Chapter 2: "Welcome Home"
After landing in a forest nearby the Demon Capital, Itachi found himself escorted to the kingdom.
Itachi: "What's your name?"
Unknown Lady: "My name is Yuki, my lord."
Itachi: "You don't need to call me 'my lord,' you know."
Yuki: "Oh no, but I must. You see, you're the Demon King, and I am your secretary."
Itachi: "I didn't even know that Demon Kings had secretaries. By the way, how did you know that I was the Demon King?"
Yuki: "Because the Goddess of Life told us. She said that the 879th demon would arrive, and that his hair would be pitch black."
Itachi: "That woman sure works fast."
Yuki: "Have you met her before?"
Itachi: "Haven't you guys met her also?"
Yuki: "No, she only contacts the Elders."
Itachi: "What or who are the elders?"
Yuki: "The elders are a group of witches, mostly old ones."
Itachi: "I see."
The carriage came to a stop, and one of the knights opened the carriage door. Yuki and Itachi stepped out.
"Welcome to the Demon Kingdom, Your Majesty," Yuki said with a warm smile.
All the knights and maids in the vicinity bowed to show their respect.
Suddenly, a man appeared out of nowhere and began to laugh.
"So, this man is the new Demon King," he remarked.
Itachi gazed at the man, then broke into a smile.
Yuki stepped in front of Itachi, shielding him from the man.
Yuki: "What are you doing here, Haruto? Shouldn't you be at the general meeting with all the other Great Generals?"
Haruto: "I just wanted to see this new Demon King that the Great Elders were talking about. They said that he would be strong, but look at him; he looks like a weakling."
Yuki turned around to Itachi and apologized, "I'm sorry, my lord."
Itachi patted her on the shoulder and said, "It's alright. Can you please show me to my room?
"Yes, my lord," Yuki replied.
Itachi walked right past Haruto without even acknowledging him.
Haruto shivered and then shouted, "I challenge you to a duel!"
Itachi smirked and calmly replied, "Very well, I accept your duel."
