"Have you calmed down now?" Donovan asked, handing a bottle of water to Kai who sat on one of the benches, and Kai nodded in response.
In the end, they weren't able to skate since Kai ended up crying and causing a scene in front of everyone just because he was scared of falling, and on top of that...he ended up scratching Donovan.
Maybe I should cut my finger nails, he thought, staring down at the finely groomed nails.
"How's your face?" Kai questioned with a worried look.
Of course he would aim for the face, that was the easiest target to reach without hindrances.
Donovan sighed and took a seat beside Kai,
"It really stings. Thankfully it's not so obvious." He replied with a slight pout, subtly showing his feigned discomfort. The guilt was evident on Kai's face and he drooped his head, sulking silently.
"Sorry, I ruined such a perfect day." Kai muttered.
