Aunt Lyn and Juan strode along the side walk, their destination mere steps away. When they finally arrived at the cafe, they were surprised to see that the door was still locked. Normally, on the weekends, Kai was always the one to open up first, but seeing that he wasn't there already was out of the ordinary.
"Kai hasn't arrived yet." Juan commented.
"It seems so."
Aunt Lyn took out the bunch of keys from her purse and opened the door.
"I hope he's alright. He didn't look very good yesterday."
They both walked into the cafe and went on to get ready for the days work. There wasn't much to do, so they were able to get things done quicker and fully open up for business. And as usual, the customers on the weekend weren't that many.
As time went on, Aunt Lyn became more worried since Kai hadn't still turned up. He was a hard worker, he wouldn't be late unless something really urgent came up.
