Chereads / Neglected Prince Midoriya / Chapter 11 - The Encounter (2)

Chapter 11 - The Encounter (2)

---

Izuku Midoriya stood still in the recommendation room, his body tense as he stared at the massive screen in front of him. His heart thumped against his chest, his red crimson eyes fixated on the figure displayed prominently on the screen. There was no mistaking him—the blonde hair, the explosive energy, the furious look in his eyes as he tore through the robots with reckless abandon. It was Katsuki Bakugou.

In the middle of the practical exam, Bakugou moved with precision and ferocity, a wild grin plastered across his face. He didn't hesitate, not for a moment. His body language was confident, almost arrogant, as if he knew that nothing could stand in his way.

[BOOM!

A powerful explosion erupted from his palms, propelling him into the air with ease. He twisted his body mid-air, using the momentum to spin and launch another explosion at the nearest robot. The metal monstrosity was torn apart by the force of the blast, its remains scattering across the battlefield in a shower of sparks and twisted metal.

Bakugou landed gracefully on the ground, his knees slightly bent to absorb the impact. His grin widened as he saw another group of robots heading his way. Without a second thought, he charged forward, his muscles coiled like a spring ready to unleash its energy.

He let out a guttural yell as he reached the first robot, his fist connecting with its metal frame in a devastating punch.

"DIIIIIIIIEEEEEE!!!" he screamed, his voice filled with a mixture of rage and exhilaration. The robot didn't stand a chance. The moment his fist made contact, Bakugou's quirk activated, and a violent explosion ripped through the robot's core, obliterating it in an instant.

 He didn't stop there.

He continued his assault, his body a blur of motion as he danced around the battlefield. Each movement was precise, each strike delivered with lethal intent. The air around him crackled with energy as he released explosion after explosion, decimating the robots that dared to stand in his path.

With a swift kick, he sent another robot flying into the air, following it up with a well-placed explosion that shattered it into pieces. The grin on his face never faltered; if anything, it grew wider with each successful strike. He was in his element, thriving in the chaos and destruction he was causing.

The ground beneath him trembled with the force of his quirk, the sounds of explosions echoing through the arena. The other students could only watch in awe as Bakugou tore through the robots like a force of nature, unstoppable and relentless.

Back in the recommendation room, Izuku's gaze never wavered as he watched Bakugou's rampage. He could feel a familiar tension building in his chest, a mix of dread and determination. Memories of their past together, the countless times he had been on the receiving end of that explosive power, flashed through his mind.

As he continued to watch, a realization hit him like a ton of bricks. "Since he's here... then that means..." Izuku's eyes widened as he quickly scanned the room, his heart pounding in his chest. There, among the observing students, he spotted her.

At the VIP section of the room, two figures sat chatting quietly. One of them was a beautiful girl with long, flaming red hair that cascaded down her back. Her presence was imposing, her expression cold and regal like that of a queen. This was none other than Shota Todoroki , the daughter and a prodigy of the Pro Hero Endeavor, known for her unparalleled beauty and icy demeanor.

Beside her, another girl sat, her lemon-green hair framing her delicate face, her emerald eyes shining with amusement as she watched the screen. A soft giggle escaped her lips as she observed Bakugou's performance, clearly satisfied with what she saw. This girl was Izuku's blood sister, Izumi Midoriya.

Izuku's breath caught in his throat as he locked eyes with his sister. There was no mistaking her—the same green hair, the same eyes, the same mischievous smile. But something was different. She looked more mature, more confident than he remembered. His heart ached with a mix of emotions—relief, joy, and a deep-seated sadness. But what he felt the most was rage building up his body.

Izumi seemed to sense his gaze, and she turned her head slightly, her eyes meeting his across the room. For a brief moment, their gazes locked, and time seemed to stand still. A thousand unspoken words passed between them in that instant, emotions too complex to put into words. But then, Izumi turned away, her smile fading as she focused back on the screen.

Beside her, the red-haired girl noticed the sudden change in her demeanor. "What's wrong?" she asked, her voice cool and detached.

Izumi shook her head, her smile returning, though it didn't quite reach her eyes. "It's nothing," she replied softly. "Just... a familiar face."

The red-haired girl raised an eyebrow but didn't press the issue. Instead, she turned her attention back to the screen, her expression unreadable.

Izuku's heart pounded in his chest as he watched his sister, his mind racing with thoughts and questions. What was she doing here? Why hadn't she contacted him? And most importantly, what had happened to her since they last saw each other?

But before he could dwell on these thoughts any longer, the room suddenly erupted into chaos.

Principal Nezu, who had been chatting with the teachers, suddenly grinned mischievously. "I think it's time to bring out the big guns," he said, his voice filled with excitement. He reached for a red button on the control panel in front of him.

The teachers looked at him with a mix of curiosity and concern. "Are you sure that's a good idea?" Midnight asked, her brow furrowing. "The students are doing well enough as it is."

Nezu chuckled, his eyes gleaming with mischief. "Oh, don't worry. This is all part of the test. Besides, it'll make things more interesting."

Without waiting for further objections, Nezu pressed the red button.

Down in the arena, a series of massive doors began to creak open, revealing the hulking forms of the Zero Pointers. These gigantic robots, designed to be nearly indestructible, towered over the battlefield, their eyes glowing menacingly as they powered up. Sparks flew from their joints as their circuits hummed to life, the ground trembling under their weight.

The Zero Pointers began to move, their massive legs causing the ground to shake with each step. Their sheer size and power were enough to strike fear into the hearts of even the bravest students.

The robots plowed through buildings and debris as if they were made of paper, their presence a terrifying reminder of the challenges the students would face in their journey to become heroes.

In the recommendation room, the teachers watched in shock as the Zero Pointers began their rampage.

"Nezu!" Midnight shouted, her voice filled with alarm. "This is too much! They're going to destroy everything!"

But Nezu simply grinned, his paw hovering over the red button. "Relax, Midnight. This is all part of the plan. Besides, we need to see how the students handle unexpected challenges. That's what being a hero is all about."

However, when he tried to press the button again to halt the Zero Pointers, nothing happened. The robots continued their destructive march, their circuits malfunctioning as sparks flew from their bodies. The teachers began to panic, their concern for the students growing with each passing second.

"Nezu, stop this now!" Aizawa barked, his usually calm demeanor slipping as he watched the chaos unfold on the screen.

Nezu's smile faltered slightly, but he remained determined. "It's too late to stop them now," he muttered under his breath. "We'll just have to trust the students to handle this."

But the tension in the room only grew as the Zero Pointers continued their rampage. On the screen, one of the massive robots turned its attention to a young girl who was trapped under a huge chunk of debris. The robot's massive leg began to rise, casting a shadow over her as it prepared to crush her beneath its weight.

The girl's eyes widened in terror as she realized she couldn't escape. She closed her eyes, bracing herself for the end, her body trembling with fear.

Aizawa's heart raced as he saw what was happening. "All Might!" he shouted, his voice filled with urgency. "Get down there and save her!"

But All Might, who had been watching the events unfold with growing concern, shook his head. "It's too late," he said, his voice tinged with regret. "By the time I get there, it'll be over."

The teachers watched in horror as the Zero Pointer's leg began its descent, the girl's fate seemingly sealed. The room fell silent, the tension so thick it was almost suffocating. They've lost a student and couldn't save her. Such heroes they are..

But then, just as the leg was about to make contact, something miraculous happened.

Midnight, who had been watching the screen intently, suddenly gasped. "Wait! Look!" she shouted, her eyes wide with shock. "There's someone there!"

All eyes turned to the screen, and what they saw left them speechless. Standing amidst the chaos, holding the girl in his arms, was a figure they all recognized

He stood tall, his white hair glowing in the light of the explosions around him. His crimson eyes blazed with determination as he cradled the girl in his arms, his expression one of calm and confidence as sparks of electricity danced around his body.

All Might eyes widen in surprise thinking his mind was playing games with him. He scanned the whole room looking for someone but soon to realize, the person wasn't there.

''How... How did Izuku get there!?''
