I am having trouble understanding the people I know for more than Two years now. They keep surprising me with their acts and words. They say you discover something new about a person everyday but I am discovering something weird everyday.
'I can't even fandom what they do when I am not present.'
I sigh and relax myself on the couch and Edward just stood up and opened the window and sat back down beside me.
"I don't know why they are disobeying you my lord but I will never ever fail to do what you ordered. Because you are my guiding star."
I turned to look at him and I smiled at him. Despite being twenty seven he acts like ten.
A cookie appeared in front of me and I started munching on it. Edward also joined me.
After I finished one and another appeared, Ed started talking.
"Do you want to hear about the dream I had last night?"
I just nodded with a cookie in my mouth. I shouldn't be this relaxed because I know Jas is coming but with Ed's here he won't be able to touch me.
"The dream was about my past."
My mind was running into different places but somehow Ed talking calmed me down. But I know what the dream was probably about.
'Scars really do show up in dreams.'
"There was me in the basement of the magic tower doing non stop experiments on innocent kids."
My breath was calm and Ed didn't mind my lack of reaction as we both continued to eat our cookies.
"Forcing them to push them to their limit before seeing them die was the most painful part..."
Silence...
"But then you came down the basement, I remember it was three years ago when you were just twenty and became a professor in the tower. You stopped the previous master from this act and helped me become one of the best mages out there."
I just blankly stare ahead of me. All the scenes flashing in front.
"You asked to keep your identity secret and let me join the Brighfall."
I nodded and smiled a little obviously with a cookie in my mouth.
"My lord You know sometimes I am happy that the previous tower master did what he did because it led me to you."
Ed turned to me and I also looked at me.
"Thank you again my lord." He smiled with felicity.
My eyes softened and I also gave him a smile.
He moved his eyes while still smiling and got up. I followed and got up knowing I have to go before Jas gets here. We have mages in the frost castle too and with Skyler there he won't be opposed to using the teleportation gate. That means he will be here faster than I thought when I send him there.
"I guess it's time my lord for your departure."
"Hmm.."
"Jasper is already in the tower. He is coming this way with Azin."
I blink and nod.
"Do you wish to talk to him?"
I look at the door and then say "no, I have to go."
"Ohk then. Here my lord. Leia sent this to me."
I turned to Ed and saw my bag that I left at the guild in a hurry. The bag came flying to me and landed on my hand.
"So you lied about being in contact with Leia."
"Yes I had to, we have different plans. Also the bag is refilled. You don't have to worry for at least three days."
I checked the bag and nodded.
"Thanks Edward."
'I don't think I will need all this though since I am going home.'
He nodded and pointed to the window.
"You might want to jump from there, it will be more faster."
I smirked and dashed for the window. The window that Edward opened earlier was for this. With trust in him I jumped down the twentieth floor at the top of the tower.
My clothes, bag and hair fluttered around as I fell down faster and faster. Amber surrounded the bottom and a teleportation gate opened up. I fell through and arrived at the back of the Mabuz manor. I didn't even have to tell Edward my next location for him to figure it out.
I spotted some cool brown hair with white stripes. Millard was in the garden instructing Leo about something. He sensed my gaze and turned to me. I also walked to him.
"Welcome back my lord." He bowed and so did Leo.
Millard raised himself and examined me. Then smiled wryly and said "my lord this is not the kind of clothes you should be wearing. If you don't mind please have Barman change your attire."
'I knew he wouldn't like it.'
"Millard did you do the job that I had left you with?"
"Yes my lord."
I just nodded nonchalantly and walked towards my room, ignoring the comment about the attire completely. A maid took my bag from my hands and left. Everyone on the way welcomed me and bowed. My expression did not change as I entered my room.
After a while Barman entered and bowed.
"Millard ordered me to change your clothes."
"yes. Also tell someone to inform Millard I will be heading out after dinner."
I said and turned to face Braman.
"Yes, my lord." He raised his head and looked at me. His expression changed to revulsion.
'Is my current clothing that bad.'
I raised an eyebrow and his face returned to normal. He set the clothes in his hands down and begin to dress me quite seriously.
I was wearing a smooth cream shirt and left it unbuttoned at the top for a more casual look. On top of the shirt was a classy blue vest with 3 buttons, it has a fairly deep v-line, it's just narrow enough for the top to remain visible, adding another layer to the overall look of the suit.
The blue jacket perfectly wraps around my body. It has a tight herringbone pattern which gives the suit a more formal and elegant look. The 4 buttons of the double breasted jacket are all buttoned up, a stylish and elegant choice. The jacket is longer at the back, it has vents at either side, there's a single pocket on one side and there's a breast pocket which contains a pocket watch.
I had pants which copy the style of the jacket, both in color and pattern and they perfectly complement my cream shoes. To top it all off it was styled with a nice belt, which is accompanied by cream gloves. My black hair was styled with a side partition covering one of my eyes.
I looked myself in the mirror and thought 'this is Millard and Braman standard.'
"You are ready to go sir."
"Thank you Braman."
