Synopsis
He was her promising beginning. But for him, she was just a bet to win over. Growing up as the lowliest in the pack, Ember despised the scar on her skin. This is what makes her ugly. She is bullied because of it. But she didn’t know that the scar was a gift until she discovered her true identity. Layne Ember was once a bullied, ugly orphan Omega who had slept for years after the day she was murdered. But unlike sleeping beauty, she wasn’t awakened by a prince charming’s kiss, but by that raging desire for revenge against those who harmed her, especially Alpha Jayden who had broken her heart, the Alpha who made her believe that he loved her. For Ember, Jayden’s face is a ten, but his attitude is a flop. He’s the perfect picture of a selfish, prideful, and misogynist alpha. But what if an alpha werewolf who thinks he’s got no weakness finds himself melting before an Omega that is gifted with a moon scar - a scar that literally makes his wolf abilities weak, and makes his heart confused? On the other hand, would Ember be eager to dive deep into knowing the mystery that lies behind the scar she once despised? What if unlocking the mysteries of this scar would lead her to her connection not only to Jayden but to other realms she has not known? The Omega 's Gift is a collision of all worlds - of wolves, faes, sirens, and witches.

Chapter 1 - Prologue - The Siren Song

"The constellation of Vespera had spoken! Give me the baby!" The cosmic witch yelled. Her eyes were glistening with obsession.

Who would not? All the covens have been waiting for this baby to be born. They waited for this for centuries. But then it was foretold that the elusive enemy of their race would emerge again because of this baby that was born under a rare moon constellation—the constellation of Vespera. Besides, she could not allow another witch to surpass her beauty. Yeah, she had laid eyes on the baby, and her moony gold eyes made her feel insecure.

"No!" The familiar yelled back, stepping away from the cosmic witch.

The cosmic witch's lips curled into a sarcastic smile. She continued to move closer to the familiar, which was now at the edge of a closed wall.

"Stop!" The familiar was trembling.

The cosmic witch laughs. And then she stared at the familiar.

"That baby shouldn't have been born in this coven! No wonder the constellation of Vespera had spoken about it because of the siren's blood that's flowing within her!" the cosmic witch muttered.

"Give me that, baby, or else you'll be the ugliest animal alive!"

Now, the cosmic witch has threatened the familiar.

The familiar hesitated. Creatures like him in the coven are usually animals. Some of his likes are in the form of frogs; you are lucky if you are born as the cute animal assistant of a witch. Here in the world of witches, they are called - familiar. And as for him, who had been the most loyal servant of the High Priestess of the Spectral Moon Coven, he was lucky to be created as a cute rabbit. And now the cosmic witch is threatening that she'll make him ugly!

"Damn!" The familiar whispered.

Of course, I don't want to become the ugliest witch's assistant!

Why, of all the witches on earth, is it the High Priestess who gave birth to this baby? And now her entire coven is falling because of this! He thought to himself.

"Stop there!" the familiar said with force and courage.

The cosmic witch laughed again, "What now, assistant?"

The familiar was still undecided. He's caught in the middle. He knows what Margo can do. Now that she had killed the High Priestess, there was no one to stop her. No one can equal her strength.

But if I surrender this baby, then our realm will be ruined. This baby is the High Priestess's child! She may have the same powers as the priestess! I can't. The familiar thought to himself.

"No!" the familiar shouted.

And he continued to flee with all the strength he had.

The cosmic witch clasped her hands and threw a force at him. The familiar manages to escape some attacks while some of the witch's force hits him. Although the familiar's physique is deteriorating, his tenacity is increasing. He cannot give her the child. She must not let her kill the priestess' baby. Even though the entire coven is saying that this child needs to die for having the blood of a siren and for being born under the constellation sign of their enemy, he still can't!

"You're so disobedient, huh?" The cosmic witch was now very furious.

"Now you'll even despise yourself!" And she began to mumble a spell as she harnessed a force in her palms.

The familiar screamed. But before the cosmic witch's spell landed on his flesh, the baby in his grip exuded an unusually melodious light. It was as if they were engulfed by a tune, and the familiar knows that it was the baby shielding them both with the little strength it has. There had been a struggle of forces for seconds until the familiar felt like he was sucked in by an energy that was taking them away from the cosmic witch. Silence. Darkness. A few moments later…The familiar forced his eyes to open. His entire body is aching. 'Where...am I?' He asked in his thoughts. Then he heard a cry on his side.

'Oh! The baby!' He quickly gets up.

'Huh? What happened to you?' he asked, wondering while he was grasping the baby's neck, which is now embedded with a scar. A vein-like scar that's running down her arms.

'It isn't beautiful,' the familiar whispered with pity. He mumbled with teary eyes, 'Sorry, I failed to protect you.'

The familiar attempted to remove the scar using all of his expertise but was unable to do so. And worse, he felt as though he was suffocating before he could even finish the last spell he was pronouncing. He turned to look at his hands.

'It's fading! 'Sh**! No!' He screamed in his thoughts.

The familiar looked at the baby once more, which was quietly lying on the grass. His tears fell. 'Sorry. How can I save you when I too need saving? Promise,  I'll find you.' He thinks. And he yielded to the power that was gradually consuming his flesh. And as he felt himself shrinking, his hands became wings, and his furry skin turned into feathers.

'Damn, that cosmic witch!' The familiar muttered in his thoughts when all the transformations had been made. And he's certain that this will be permanent, maybe. He has now changed into a raven. A black raven, as dark as night.

'Waahhh!!!! Gone are my cute fluffy white furrr! he whined. 'Oh...wait..' He stopped and frowned, and asked himself, 'Now that I'm smaller and no longer have hands, how can I even help the priestess' child?'

Meanwhile, the cosmic witch was freaking out. She had already ordered all her witch armies to search for the child, but she went home disappointed. She didn't expect that a baby such as that could even defend itself, and she made them disappear that easily.

If that baby already has that kind of ability now, how much more will it have when it grows up? She's a threat. Margo clenched her fists as she recalled her encounter with the baby.

That angelic face and those moony gold eyes of hers—I couldn't forget the way they glistened! Margo thought to herself.

"Argghhhh!" She shouted once again and threw anything within reach of her hands.

Such eyes! Those eyes that seem to be alive and sparkling make me uncomfortable. It makes me more afraid! I've never experienced anything like this! Margo thinks.

Then, Margo rose to her seat and agitatedly called her armies, "Find any beautiful angelic face, baby, kid, or teenager you'll see out there! Among the wolves! In the human world, outside this coven, or anywhere in the realms! Wherever!"  she yelled.

But then, as her witch troops hastily depart, they fail to see that the infant they were seeking is no longer beautiful.
