Chapter 6 - Chapter 5

10th Of August

I wore the dress Stella had bought for me, the other day. It was the prettiest dress I've ever seen. I waited outside as Stella pulled up in her dad's car and drove us to the venu.

When I stepped into the Venue, I could see everyone looking really nice and fancy in their dresses and suits. Stella went to look for Terry and told me to explore around. I went towards the drink area, thinking James could be there.

There I saw him in a suit, it made him look majestic and exquisite. He spotted me and waved me over, I walked towards him, "You look really beautiful tonight." "You look really nice too." "Want to go dance?" I told James that I couldn't dance but he insisted, "It's okay, I'll teach you." So I gave in and he dragged me by my arm to the dance floor and we danced with his guidance. I then locked eye contact with him and felt as if we're the only ones in the room, music dancing around us, as we smoothly danced step by step.

After the dance, the principal made a really long boring speech and James whispered to me "Wanna sneak out?" He looked at me waiting for an answer "Sure, why not." We laughed and snuck outside, the trees already had blossoms on them, it was beautiful. James then took out a box from behind with a bow on it, "For you." I took the box from his hand, "What is it?" "Why don't you open it and find out." I gently untied the bow wrapped around the box and lifted the lid. Inside was a teddy bear hugging a heart and a really nice bracelet. "This is so cute." I then notice a spot on the teddy that says 'press me' . I pressed it and it said 'Will You Go Out With Me?' I looked at James and he smiled "So will you?" "I would love to."

I played it cool in real life, but in my head I was so happy, thinking about how he was going to be my first date and I also would be his first? That thought made me happy, imagine having a boyfriend that cares for you. Just then James hugged me and fireworks started going in the background, that's what you call perfect timing.
