It's been a week now, I haven't heard from the stalker at all. I think he finally left me alone. We all decided to meet up at the library on Saturday to study together. James and I walked there together, we were the first ones there, so we picked a table near the window. Soon everyone started arriving one by one. Now we were all here, Leon sitting next to Terry and Terry next to Stella. We started studying for about half an hour.
We then grabbed food out of our bags for lunch. I then remembered to ask Terry about that day when I last talked to the stalker, it completely slipped my mind. "Hey Terry, remember when we met each other on my way home? And you were on your way to the café." "Yup, what's up?" "Did you perhaps see anyone that looked suspicious around, when we were talking?" "Not that I know of, no." "Okay, thanks anyways." "No prob."
After studying we parted ways and I was walking with James and Leon joined in too, just in case the stalker nearby and waiting for the moment to end my life. We stopped by a convenience store to get some drinks. I needed to make a phone call to my mum, so she knows I'm safe. I told them to head inside and grab the drinks first. They both agreed and went in. Although it was just a convenience store, it was pretty big compared to normal ones you see in everyday life. The drinks were far back, so the guys wouldn't be able to see me outside. Just as the phone was ringing, waiting for a response. I saw someone in a black cap and hoodie approaching the convenience store. I had a bad feeling, but at that moment I didn't think it could be the stalker. He came up to me and said "Hi, It's nice to meet you again, Celina." I froze as the call went through and my mum started speaking. I couldn't hear anything, that moment I just knew I had to run as he was going to pull something out of his pocket.
I ran away from the convenience store as he chased me, I couldn't run in the store because he was right in front of the store and by the time the door opens, he would've caught up to me, remembering I'm a slow runner. He chased me for about 3 minutes as my phone kept buzzing and I struggled to answer the phone but just as I did answer, I tripped from a rock and dropped my phone, the stalker got closer and I quickly reached into my bag pocket and got out a pepper spray and sprayed it all over his face. He was screaming in pain and then ran away as he heard people coming towards the area. The stalker already disappeared by the time Leon and James caught up. James came up to me, "Celine! Are you okay?" "Yeah, just got a little scratch." Leon went to go find the stalker. "We forgot to ask what drink you wanted and went out, but you were gone." "The stalker was chasing me, with something in his hand, I couldn't see. Neither did I see his face, I could've seen his face." "His face doesn't matter right now, all that's important right now is that you're okay." Leon ran back and shook his head, signalling that the stalker got away.
The next day I was still shaken by what happened, Stella even got the chills when we told her. "Did you get a glimpse of his face?" "No, it was too dark to see." Terry then walked in the classroom, he was covering his eyes with his hand a little, I couldn't help but notice his eyes a little red. I didn't tell anybody about the part when I sprayed pepper spray. Stella then asked Terry what happened, "Oh I was squeezing lemon yesterday to make my mum some lemonade, she loves drinking it. And then some of the juice splashes in my eye, now it stings." Stella told Terry what happened yesterday, for some reason I'm not sure if I'm the only one noticing this but he kind of started sweating on his head and asked "Did she see who it was?" "No she couldn't, it was too dark." Leon replied to him. "Terry, right?" "Yeah." "You seem to be sweating." "Oh I didn't even notice, it's a little hot in this room you know." "Valid, I guess."
After school I kept sighing on our way home. "What's wrong?" James asked me. "Nothing, I'm just scared you know." "It's okay, I'll make sure to protect you this time." "It's not that." "Then what?" "You know Terry, he just seems like you know." "You can tell me." "Suspicious?" "There's something I didn't tell you about what happened last night, when I fell over, I actually sprayed a lot of pepper spray on his face." "So you think Terry might be the stalker because of his red eyes?" "I don't think it is Terry, I'm just a little suspicious…" "Celine, let's go to the park." I was confused but before I could say anything he's already dragging me to the park.
He sat me down on a bench and asked me to remember clearly what the stalker was wearing and anything about his appearance. I closed my eyes and really thought about it. That made me remember something about his hand, when he was going to grab something out of his pocket, his hand had a little scar near his thumb. "Actually now that I think about it, he did have a little scar near his thumb." "Okay, we could check Terry's hand tomorrow, to see if your suspension is right." "It's on his right hand by the way." "Let's head home now."
