The new chapter of life-
I woke up bright and early today because it was going to be my first date. I wore a really nice outfit and met him outside my house. "Are you ready for this adventure?" "I've been preparing for my whole life." We went in the taxi, and arrived at our destination, the art museum. We held hands as we explored the museum and I saw this one painting called 'My complete Heart', I'm not sure why, but it kind of made me think if James was mine. Even though I've only known him for a month, I felt like I've known him for more than a year. We explored for about an hour and saw lots of cool paintings, the whole way through the museum his hands stuck with mine.
As we walked out of the museum, he asked me what was my favourite part of it, "My favourite part was probably looking at the 'My complete Heart' painting together, it reminds me of us." We both smiled and went to a bakery and got some pastries to eat on our way home. We walked by the lake at the park while watching the sunset. This is exactly what I would see in romance novels and it's happening to me in real life. Our walk felt long but fast at the same time, before we knew it, we were already at my house. "I guess we have to say our goodbye for today now." I said I was kind of disappointed. "Don't be disappointed, we have plenty of other times to hangout. We could even hang out everyday." We looked at each other for a while, until he unexpectedly kissed me.
My heart was about to burst, I felt my cheeks grow really red as he pulled away. "I'll get going now, goodnight, make sure to dream about me tonight." I swear he was trying to make my face turn into a tomato, I just replied with a "goodnight." My heart was still beating fast, I went inside as he left. My mum asked me where I've been. I just told her a quick reply "I was with Stella studying at the library." And ran upstairs to my bedroom, I started rolling around on my bed, thinking about what just happened.
I fell asleep soon with James still in my mind, I was back at that park, the park that changed my world. I knew what was going to happen… but instead of the same storyline, my toy ball still rolled to the road, but just as my younger self was about to run after it, a guy held me back. He then squatted down and talked to my young self, I went closer to see his face, it was James. James had saved my younger self…
Instead of waking up all shooken up the next morning, I was relieved. I got ready and headed downstairs, surprised to see my mum home, "You're not going to work today?" "I decided to take a week off." "That's great." "Look Celina, I know this marriage is unexpected and hard for you to accept, I'll talk him out of it, if you really don't want it to happen." I could hear my mum's sadness and I knew it was a good thing she finally found someone who loved her after all these years. I was happy for her, I didn't want her to get hurt because of me again, so I had to try and adjust to the new life. "No mum, I'm happy for this marriage to happen, I was just overwhelmed at first from the unexpected news." My mum smiled at me, "Celina, I knew dad and I raised you well. Thank you for being my daughter." I smiled back and we had breakfast together.
I wasn't much of an extrovert, but I didn't like staying at home much, I liked going outside especially on great clear sunny days. I got dressed and went out to the bookstore to get some inspiration for my writing. It was a small cosy bookstore around the corner from my neighbourhood. I entered the store and the staff gave me a warm welcome. I went to where the romance books were. I liked reading them. I thought I'll look through some and who knows I might get some inspiration.
I then saw a book on the top shelf that caught my eyes, 'First Love'. I tried reaching for the book, but I accidentally knocked over a stack of books by my elbow. And I was on my tippy toes too, I lost my balance and fell over just about to hit the floor, somebody caught me. "Are you okay?" The guy helped me on my foot, but I couldn't stand up straight. "I think I sprained my ankle." He helped me onto the seat near the shelves and went to pick up the books. He had dark red hair, tied back in a low ponytail.
I looked at my ankle and the dude came back and handed me a book, the book I was trying to get. "Next time when you can't reach something, ask someone to get it for you. Or something like this will happen again." The guy then lifted up my ankle and examined it, and told me to wait here, he left the store and came back 10 mins after with an ice pack and a drink. He pressed the ice pack against my sprained part, he then opened the drink and gave it to me. "They say drinking something will help sprained ankles to heal faster." "Thank you for helping me." "Anytime."
