"I said that's enough!" Alex said pressing his two fingers on his temples and outstretching his other hand, causing a gush of the telekinetic wave to hit Charlotte, sending her off balance and crashing into the entrance door.
"Ah," Charlotte groaned in pain as she sluggishly stood up from the ground, rubbing her head.
"Are you crazy?" She yelled at Alex.
"Why would you interrupt a lesson?" She scolded again, causing Alex to scoff, running his fingers through his hair.
"You're the crazy one Char, can't you see you almost hurt him?" Alex said, although he and his brother have little misunderstandings, they were also there for each other.
"Okay, that's enough guys," Davis said with a smile.
"Mr.Davis you will have to develop some rules in this class, if Liam's barrier had weakened the impact of Charlotte's power would have hurt him severely!" Alex said.
"And not to mention, she channeled lightning, isn't it supposed to be prohibited from this class?" A student asked.
"Am sorry students, you might have misunderstood, this is a defense class, yes. Regardless that doesn't mean doing things to amplify the force of your ability is restricted," Teacher Davis said.
"However she wasn't Defending, she was striking, she could have seriously hurt him!" Another student said.
"Are you being serious right now?" Charlotte scolded the class for being against her. She stormed out of the class angrily and Liam followed her regardless.
I felt a pang in my chest, He said he liked me but he was still following Charlotte, I shouldn't feel this way especially when Liam wasn't mine.
They might blame Charlotte right now but I blamed teacher Davis, what kind of teacher would encourage a student to hurt another, he authorized Charlotte to channel lightning. Something was off with this man, I could feel it deep in my bones.
Charlotte's POV
I admit I lost control for a while there, it was like my powers were taking control, I wanted to stop but the alleviation I felt releasing all those powers. I wanted more of that relief so I channeled. It felt like a sugar rush through my body.
I was almost tearing through the small barrier Liam created and then I felt a telekinetic wave push me with force causing me to crash into the entrance doors.
I couldn't believe they all turned against me, so I stepped out, I felt betrayed and frustrated as I angrily walked out of the class and through the halls.
"Char wait!" Liam called, running after me.
''What, What do you want from me?!" I yelled with tears in my eyes after Liam grabbed me by the arm.
"Is this what you wanted, everyone sees you like the victim and I am the culprit!" I yelled, wiping my tears.
"Why would you say something like that, you know It's not true," Liam said holding my shoulders.
"Tell me what's going on, I've known you for a long time, and I know when something is bothering you," He said.
"It--it's my father, he won't stop depressing me," I said and my sobs got louder.
"What do you mean?" He asked.
"Nothing, I--I need to be alone right now," I said and scurried away, wiping the remnants of tears on my face.
I stood at the entrance of the school, waiting for my chauffeur to get there, and in a minute the car stopped right in front of me.
"Let's go," I ordered the driver when I got into the car. The car drove off and then shortly after, we arrived at my Father's mansion.
I was hesitant to go in but it was my home, although there was only one person I didn't want to see at that exact moment.
Liam POV
I knew something was up when Charlotte said her Father wouldn't stop depressing her. They didn't have a perfect father-and-daughter relationship.
Since their childhood days, Charlotte's Father had been the pushy type, he was strict and overly harsh, I had seen him beat on Char several times.
After she disappeared from my sight, I turned around and was about to take a step when I saw Ranella standing 10 meters away from me. She took slow strides towards me and before I could process what was going on, she embraced me in a tight warm hug.
This was the first time in a very long time I had received this kind of warmth. I was shocked, I didn't know how to react, or if I should hug her back, but I knew I didn't want it to end just yet. When she pulled away, I couldn't help but curse inwardly, but still, I was dying to know why she did that.
You should look out for her, she might be a mean bitch and looks tough on the outside, but she's fragile on the inside," Ranella said and I felt my heart skip a beat.
In an act of selflessness, Charlotte bullied and humiliated her, she even dared me to make Ranella fall for me so I could break her heart later, but here she was, telling me to look out for Charlotte, apart from me, she understood how Charlotte was although they hated each other.
After flashing a smile, Ranella turned to leave but I unexpectedly hauled her back and embraced her, I felt her stiffen as I wrapped my arms around her. I couldn't help but chuckle because a few seconds ago she had clasped me freely but it was my turn to return the favor and she felt like a stone.
I looked ahead and saw Alex standing behind me, our gazes met and I saw anger flash through them. I couldn't pull away from Ranella because I very much wanted this, so I glared at him in return because no amount of death glares would make me pull away from this woman.
