Alexandros is a greek archaeologist.
His specific field of interest was mythology.
Maybe because he could see the mountain Olymp from his childroom window, but ever since he was a child he enjoyed books about gods.
It could be literature from Homer's Odyssee to manga like Danmachi.
Aside from that, he enjoyed adventuring unseen places and used his job to go to the rainforest on the trail of aztecs or find burial chambers in the egyptian pyramids.
As his fascination mostly surrounded the greek sagas, he often worked on the Olymp.
At one of his days there, he found some old inscriptions that could be a calender or prophecy.
He couldn't be sure, because it was encrypted.
Some of the letters had slight burn marks on them, so he concluded that something akin to a lens focused sunlight at this stonewall.
Searching nearly two months, he found a chest with a prisma.
"Jackpot. Now I only need to find out the correct place it was used."
Submerged in his thinking he wandered around and calculated the approximate location,
but got near the cliffs at the side. While holding the prisma out, a part under him broke of and he falls to his death.
Opening his eyes, he only sees darkness until a speck of light appears and gets bigger.
It comes closer as fast as a shootingstar. The light is so bright, he must close his eyes.
Wait he now is a soul, so can he? Before being absorbed by that thought, he heard a voice beside him:
"Hello there, mortal"
"Who are you?", Alex askes.
???: "One you know a lot about and yet doesn't seem to recognize me. Oh and you even died with my relic in your hand, but I can't tell you more than this."
"What is your intention with me?", I questioned.
???: "Directly to the point. Just how I like it. Now because of your hobby, you know of a World called 'Danmachi', am I correct?"
"Yes!?"
???: "Good. Now I will send you to this realm with my Falna. Simple, ain't it?"
"WHAT?"
???: "On your way. Goodbye."
Alex: "Wait I..."
Before he can end his objection, he is sucked to his next life.
A life in the world of Danmachi.
