Zac was pacing back and forth in front of the emergency room door. He was extremely anxious about Jenny and their unborn child.
Meanwhile, down the hospital corridor, a middle-aged woman was rushing towards her child.
"Zac, why did Jenny fall? Didn't you say she was at the apartment? Why is she here at your trial?" Zac's mother bombarded him with questions.
"I doesn't know why Jenny is here," he replied with a heavy heart, staring at the door to the emergency room.
"Why is the doctor taking so long?!" he muttered while still gazing at the door.

The door opened, and Zac immediately approached the doctor who was attending to Jenny.
"Doctor, how is my wife and our unborn child?"
"Your wife and the baby are both fine. Fortunately, you brought her to the hospital quickly, and that made a difference."
"Doctor, may I see my wife's condition?"
"You can only see her once she's moved to the recovery room."
"Alright, doctor, thank you."
The doctor left Zac standing in front of the emergency room door.
"Sorry, sir, we will be moving Jenny to the recovery room," a nurse said, and Zac nodded.
"Excuse me," he called out, making the nurse turn towards him.
"Yes, sir, is there anything I can assist you with?"
"Nurse, just a regular room for her, please."
"Alright, sir."
Jenny had been moved to a regular hospital room as per Zac's request.
"Why am I placed here with them? Why can't I stay in a VVIP room, Zac? Do you even care?" Jenny said, annoyed, looking around with a disgusted expression.
"Jenny, please try to understand. I don't have the money to afford a better room for you," he said sadly, causing Jenny to huff in frustration.
"I just want to go home; I don't like this place," she said angrily, turning away.
"Jenny, can't you understand? I'm in this situation because of you. Isabelle left me because of you," he said emotionally, raising his voice slightly.
"Blame me, blame me all you want. You and your parents always blame me," she retorted, equally emotional.
"You..." Zac raised his hand as if to slap Jenny, but he stopped himself, remembering she was pregnant.
"Zac, do you want to hit me? Go ahead, slap me if you want," Jenny said, bringing her cheek close to Zac's face.
Zac left Jenny without saying a word.
"Zac, where are you going?" Zac's mother asked as she entered Jenny's room.
"Just looking for some fresh air, Mom," he replied and left without waiting for her response.
Zac's mother approached Jenny, who was lying on her back.
"Jenny..." she called softly.
"What is it, huh? Can't you see I'm trying to rest?" Jenny replied curtly without looking at Zac's mother.
"You really have no manners, do you?" Zac's mother said, irritated.
"But, Mom, I'm pregnant with your grandchild. I need to rest."
Zac's mother sighed heavily, frustrated with Jenny's behavior.
'Just wait until you become Zac's wife or daughter-in-law. Maybe then you'll be even more disrespectful. This can't be tolerated. You might end up being the lady of our house,' Zac's mother's thoughts were interrupted by Jenny's loud shout.
"MOM!" Jenny shouted loudly enough for it to be heard in the hospital corridor.
"I'm sorry, Ma'am, but this is a hospital. Please don't shout and disturb other patients," a nurse reprimanded.
"I'm sorry," Zac's mother said, feeling embarassed, and then she gave Jenny a stern look.
"Jenny, why are you shouting so loudly that it could be heard outside?" Zac asked.
"Zac, when are you going to marry me? If you don't marry me soon, I'll leave you and take our child with me," she threatened seriously, staring at Zac.
"Jenny, please wait until my issues with Isabelle are resolved," he said gently, hoping Jenny would relent.
"That's too long, Zac."
"But, Jenny..."
"It's up to you, Zac. If you still want me by your side, or I'll leave your life with the baby inside me."
"Alright, we'll get married this week," he said resignedly.
"Jenny, but let's perform a traditional wedding first."
"Okay, that's fine. The important thing is that you marry me first," she said, and Zac nodded.
