I awoke to the noise of chirpings all around. The morning light has not come up, but it was already dawn. I lifted my back off the grass and stretched a bit before looking to my side to see that gargantuan head lying by my side.
I can see you're awake.
A voice came into my head as those large eyes opened beside me.
"Clearly. It's dawn, let's be on our way." I said, standing up to my feet. "We don't want to be late for the party."
So you wish to steal the kill of all those other fellows of yours?
"No. However, I would gladly welcome such an opportunity. That aside, our main goal is someone named El. He is a two-faced little bit that I despise. A dark mage too, see." I said.
This El, what does he look like?
Eron's brows were raised after I said what I had so he posed a question, to which unfortunately, I didn't have the answer.
"We haven't known each other long, and he always wears a hood over his head. I still don't know why he does that, not that it matters. When I find him today, I will issue to him a challenge that he must accept and after defeating him, I will rub it all over his face." I said, also replying to Eron's question.
"Let's not waste any more time." I continued, before adding. "It's about time I got my revenge for that humiliation that one time."
Oh, boy. What have I gotten myself into this time...
"You know I hear those thoughts, right?" I asked.
They are meant for you to hear. If I didn't want you hearing them, you wouldn't.
He immediately emitted a maroon coloured fog and his size was reduced by a lot in just a few seconds. In his place now was no longer a little baby Wyvern, but instead a small falcon-like beast.
"You can do that too?"
I said I can change my shape, no? Is not this what you would count as shape shifting? So I believe I also explained this. You just, with your little mind, failed to grasp this knowledge.
"Alright, enough of that." I began to move towards the entrance to the cave while that small falcon beast which housed Eron flew and landed on my right shoulder.
We travelled for quite some time in the cave searching for the entrance to the dungeon. I had never been here and I was not with any escorts who had so I did not know the exact location of the dungeon gates, thus causing me to wade through different tunnels in search of the right path.
Finally, after a time of searching, we came upon a tunnel that shone with a dim orange light. We followed the light until we arrived at the end of the tunnel, and joint to the wall of the tunnel was a portal large enough to fit half of Eron if we tried - in his complete size, I mean.
'Orange gate. The monsters here are a bit strong.' I thought.
Do you think I will be unable to handle the monsters in here?
"Why do you always do that? Stay out of my head." I replied. "I can handle myself well enough, you know. And always defeating enemies for me would not help me develop myself."
So...
"Just sit back and relax. I'll call for your help if I need it." I concluded.
Oh, sure. More leisure for me. So, have you crossed one of these before?
"No."
Neither have I. I guess we'll both be blind men and noobs on the other side.
"I guess we will." I said, before walking forward and into that circle of orange light.
Upon touching the portal, it felt as though it was resisting my presence. It felt viscous in a way, so moving my hand through felt a bit hard. However, when my palm went through the layer, the rest of my hand just went straight through like butter.
'A bit of resistance at first, and then easy going, huh?' From what little I knew about teleportation magic, this was no such thing. It may take us to somewhere else which we called a dungeon, but it was unlike any teleportation magic I had heard of.
That ought to not have come as a surprise, seeing as teleportation magic had long since been forgotten so no one knew if what it was proposed to be was true or not.
I withdrew my hand to see if there was any change as a first caution and after observing it for a little, concluded all to be well. Ergo, I swiftly moved across that huge orange light gate.
One moment I was in a tiny tunnel that spread out wide up and housed a large gate, the next I was somewhere else. This was something I had never experienced in my life before and was quite unlike anything I had ever felt. It took .e quite a while to adjust to all of it, before having to spend a little more time adjusting once again to the new surroundings.
"Wow. That was... "
I know, no words for it. You'll say the same after you experience a lot more that this world has to offer. And if you truly are on your way to becoming a strong person, you will surely experience these things. So do not let a simple cranky teleport shake you so.
"Yeah, the great and mighty Wyvern. Always acting indifferent to everything."
I am indifferent to everything. It is not an act. Unlike your lot; humans, who love to pretend, I assure you Wyverns do not have the same mindset.
"Whatever." I looked around at the new scenery around me, allowing my eyes to take in as much of the details as it could. This place was also very much unlike any I had been in. It was an open grassland for miles and miles for as far as my eyes could see, except a wooden house that stood strong with no sign of weathering a little bit from where we were stood.
