I don't know how long it took, but I finally saw something different from green pastures on the horizon. There was a brown figure that stood tall on the grass, a large structure that could be used as a living estate. It was that house that I had seen upon arrival into this dungeon. I had followed the directions of the map to the beginning of the Caliagri dungeons because from what I could see on the map, the whole dungeon was just green grass, excepting a place near to the entrance where there was a guardpost or something that seemed like it.
Throughout that trying journey, I had not once seen Eron, but I did not let it weigh too much on my mind. I could protect myself now, see. So, I didn't need him to be around me all the time. However, the journey was extremely tiring and exhausting so finally seeing progress made me jiggy.
I braced myself and hurried my steps as I inched closer and closer to that wooden house until eventually it was so close I could hug it just by stretching my hands. I got this close before finally stopping myself.
From here, I traced the position of the guardpost, which was near to this place and swiftly travelled there. Upon arrival, there were two soldiers stationed there who were just seated on wooden chairs next to a tall tower like building. Behind this building was a large door that was as big as that portal I had come in through. I walked up to the two soldiers and ushered my greetings.
"G'day sirs." I said to them. "Can you tell me where this leads to?"
"This leads to the Caliagri dungeons. You must be some noob not to know that, no?" One of the soldiers answered, before posing a question to me.
"Yes. However, I thought we were already in the Caliagri dungeons?" I asked.
" You ever seen a dungeon as peaceful as this?" The other seated soldier snickered. "Oh, right. You're a noob, sorry." He was clearly mocking me.
"I may be a noob, but that doesn't mean I am weak." I claimed, trying to defend my honour.
"Oh, really? What is it you are here for, boy? Did mommy and daddy leave you home all to yourself?" The second soldier laughed as he said this, and his contagious laughter was spread like a disease onto his companion.
"I mean, I know we are not supposed to let a lillte kid remain here, but he can fend for his self, right? Plus, he's not that little anymore." The first soldier said, speaking to his companion.
"True be ye words. I do miss the company, see."
"Hey, you guys know I'm right here, right?" I scolded.
"A little one growing wings as you are. We ought to break those wings." The second soldier responded.
"Aye, we do." The first one agreed. "But, say I pray, how should we off him?"
'I am right effing here you bastard ingrates!' I cried inwardly as I was getting terribly vexed at their antics.
I swiftly approached the first soldier and gave a direct punch straight to his face. He, seemingly thinking that my punch would be as weak as my looks, did not bother to retaliate or prevent the punch in any way, even though he saw it coming. They probably wished to also use that as more locking material against me. What they didn't anticipate, however, was just how strong I actually was.
My punch landed clean on his face, lifting him off his chair and into the air and sending him flying off into the distance. He kept going unutil he hit the wall of that large, tall tower that guarded the giant door behind it, and upon hitting the wall, he fell silent as though he were a baby sleeping peacefully.
The second soldier looked at his comrade with wide eyes for a moment, before realizing I was one of those gifted from birth with something extraordinary - at least, I'd like to think that's what the look in his eyes meant.
He son regained his composure and stood abruptly from his chair. He drew his sword immediately and pointed it at me, whilst chanting something that sounded like a magic spell.
'He should be one of those warrior mages.' I thought. 'No wonder, he was so arrogant. Perhaps his mate was also one of those, but I have to be careful of him. I was only able to affect his friend by that much because he lowered his guard. It won't be the same for this guy.'
I moved to draw my sword from the space with my Storage skill, but stopped just short. I remembered that I mustn't show such skills in front of others. I directed my hand to hide it behind me before using the Storage skill to call on The Sword of The Nether.
The sword hummed as it entered my hand, strong and ready for combat. I wielded it with pride and pointed it straight at the warrior mage.
Suddenly, he unleashed his spell. A huge ball of fire came rushing at me with a great speed. I had nothing to use in defending against such an attack. If perhaps it was a sword srike, I would strike back to deflect or counter, but this was a spell. I had no weapons that deflected spells. Thus, I had to dodge.
I swiftly moved to the side and allowed for the fireball to whiz past me, before dashing straight at this warrior mage. I didn't want to have to kill him, but if I had to, I would not hold back.
I was on him in a matter of less than a second. I thrust at his center with my body lowered into a straight line as I aimed for his life. If he could save his life, good for him. But, either way, I wouldn't take any chances.
Suddenly, the sword in my hand suddenly went flying, and my advance was stopped as my neck was grabbed by a small, delicate hand.
