After reading the message, I felt the adrenaline pump surge through my being but still I subconsciously decided to ignore it. It wasn't the first time I had gotten a text like that and so I shouldn't even be getting worked up about it either, but the more I focused on forgetting about the text, the more engraved it was on my mind.
It was a somewhat chaotic five minutes, battling with my ownself over who was more right, as my head insisted that this might just be another hoax from an internet troll. Finally giving in to my gut feeling, I excused myself from the lunch table to confirm who it was that texted.
Unfortunately, i hadn't come with my bag and at such I didn't have the complimentary card Vanessa had given me in the hotel room at Paris. There was no way to confirming the number and a voice identification isn't trusted in this modern internet age.
