"What do you think he's doing right now?"
Asked Thalia as I was helping her with her spear. I sighed, tilting my head to the side to avoid a thrust, from behind.
"Concentrate."
I bent my body, sweeping the legs of the camper behind me, Billy, one of my younger brothers, grabbed her spear and pulled her forward. Turning my body to the side, I raised her spear up, and held my foot out, getting her to trip and fall on top of Billy.
Putting her spear on my shoulder, I looked down at her for a moment, utterly unimpressed as she huffed, getting off the poor kid who looked like he wanted nothing more than to lay down and sleep.
"He's fine, Thalia."
I tossed her the spear, looking around at the other trainees who were taking a break, using this opportunity to catch their breath before they had to fight me again.
"How would you know? What if he needs my help right now?"
She narrowed her eyes, causing me to raise an eyebrow. I raised my spear and hit her on the head lightly.
"How would you be of help when you can't even stand upright?"
She scowled, pushing the spear shaft away with the back of her hand. I smirked, pulling it around and hitting her legs with it, causing her to fall... Again.
I chuckled, waving a hand and slapping away a bolt of lightning that came from her.
"Alright, enough, pick up your partner and take a break."
I waved the two away. She grumbled but complied, bending down to pull Billy up and get his hand around her shoulder, supporting him with her body as she carried the younger kid away to the benches.
I looked at the next two that stood up, William, A son of Apollo, and Samantha a daughter of Aphrodite. She did have Charm speak, so this would have been tricky if it affected me. It was neither strong enough to affect me, nor complicated enough to prevent me from deciphering the basics of it and counteracting it.
I grinned as I raised my left arm, the vambrace snapping into a shield as I slapped away the arrow sent from William. The arrow exploded into a burst of flame behind me.
He was getting better with his Devinity, which was good.
I lowered my body, dashing forward in a burst of speed, Samantha did the only thing she could do in the face of my charge. She got in front of me, shield raised. My spear pierced the shield, and she turned it, getting my hand in an awkward position.
"Kneel."
... She tried, and she succeeded. My knee buckled as I kneeled, my eyes widening. My instincts kicked in as I leaned to the side, on the knee that was pressing to the ground, and rolled to the side, avoiding another charged arrow from William.
I chuckled as I got to my feet.
She got better, good...
My divinity flared, concentrating on my years and strengthening the filter I made for the children of Aphrodite, always keeping it on a certain level for training.
She passed it, and now, the bar got higher.
Her siblings would hate her if they knew.
"Good job..."
I complimented, smiling, before rushing forward again. Samantha raised her shield again, where my spear was still stuck and I felt her gathering energy into her vocal cords.
"Trip."
I reached out, grabbing the shaft of my spear and kicking the shield, sending her skidding back, my spear back in my hand.
I twirled the spear in my hand as Samantha finally took out her sword, her other main form of combat invalid as of now, forcing her to fall back on her sword skills.
She swung, trying to intercept my spear, only for me to move it away, and with a quick flick of my wrist, hit her throat with the shaft of the spear.
She couched, dropping to her knees, letting go of her sword and clutching at her throat.
Yeah, she needed more work with her overall fighting ability.
William didn't last long either... Overall, everything went well.

"Are you not worried?"
Asked Chiron from his wheelchair, making me look up at him with a raised eyebrow from my set of cards.
"That's the sixth time I heard that sentence today, twenty-ninth, this week..."
I said matter of factly, taking a card out and tossing it on the table. It's been a week, and Thalia and Annabeth were wearing on my patinace.
"And If I hear it one more time..."
Dionysus tossed a card in and looked at me.
"Aren't you worried?"
My eyebrow twitched. This unpaid child support having, fish out of water-looking, mid-life crisis having, hippie-looking, cheating ass peace of Shi-
I felt the marble break and groaned in annoyance. Really Luke? Now?
My divinity flared, covering my whole body as I teleported myself to the exact location where I felt my own divinity be released from the marble...
Only to see a sharp set of large teeth heading right towards me...
Oh, fuck me...
