I twirled my spear in my hand, bringing it around my body and using the momentum I built up from the twirl to pull another spear coming my way away from its trajectory.
The tip of the opposing spear dug into the ground as I raised my shield, three arrows slamming into it, The material it was made by the only thing keeping it from being pierced.
A foot impacted the back of my knee, forcing me to kneel on the ground. Rolling to the side, I brought my legs, hooking them around my attacker's leg and forcing them down on the ground.
Rolling on top of them and momentarily keeping them from moving by using their back to push myself up to get a stable footing, I took a step back and tilted my body to the side, preventing another spear from piercing my chest.
Transforming my shield back into a vambrace, I grabbed my cape, using its ability to take any form I wanted to transform it into a scarf, and wrapped it around the spear wielder's helmet, obstructing his view and yanking to get his body in front of me, preventing the archer from taking any more shots at me.
I raised my foot, putting it against the knee of my third opponent who was trying to pierce my head with a sword, stopping him from shifting momentum from one foot to the other as he thrust his sword forward, the tip coming inches from my helmet.
As my temporary human shield struggled against the scarf I was holding him with, I hanked him back, bending my body at the waist to flip him over, his body landing on top of his comrade.
Moving my right foot forward, I manage to get my body lower to avoid an arrow coming my way as it dug into the ground.
Tossing my spear up slightly, I grabbed it in reverse grip, bringing the tip forward and throwing it at the archer. My spear dug into his shoulder, drawing blood as he fell to the ground, only a grunt leaving his mouth as his back impacted the ground.
He wouldn't be down for long, he was the son of Apollo, after all. Turning around, I raised my left hand, my vambrace transforming into a shield again, The incoming spear, slid into the crescent opening on the top as I turned the shield to the side in an attempt to rip away the spear from its owner's hand.
Instead, the spear broke in half, and I took the opportunity to grab the broken half that he wasn't clutching and knelt down, turning as my knee pad took the brunt of the scrapes my knee would otherwise.
Slamming the tip of the broken spear into my opponent's thigh, I pulled down, getting him on the ground. My hand shot from the shaft of the spear to my sword on my hip, unsheathing it and batting away the sword of my last opponent, before my shield slammed into him, pushing him back.
A sharp pain pulsed through my body, starting at calve and I spared it a glance, seeing an arrow sticking out of it.
Great.
I felt another jolt of pain from my other leg, this time from the thigh, and I just knew that there was a broken piece of wood in my leg.
Ah... Shit...
It wasn't long before a sword pierced my shoulder, finally getting me on my back, and pinning me to the ground.
My chest heaved with exhaustion, as I looked up at one of my older brothers, our eyes meeting through the helmets. I could see triumph in them as he leaned back, falling onto the ground and groaning in exhaustion.
I groaned in agreement.
If I wasn't enhancing my body with divinity, My body couldn't keep up with my skills for long. What a pain...
I sat up, pulling the sword out of my shoulder as divinity flooded my body, the wound healing over and leaving behind a scar.
"Alright, that was intense, everybody okay?"
I asked, seeing that the son of Apollo was already working on taking the spearhead out of the wounded camper's leg and healing it.
"We will be, in a bit."
I chuckled.
"What? Not going to heal the one who was stabbed three times?"
The people who stabbed me looked at me like I just said the dumbest thing in my life. And I wasn't really appreciating that, at all.
"...You deserved it, boss."
Of fuck you too, ungrateful brats.
With a grunt, I pulled the broken spear shaft out of my thigh, using my divinity to flush out any splinters left inside and heal the wound, before grabbing the arrow to pull it out.
the tip broke off, staying inside my calf...
Aw, come on...
The sound of hooves hitting the ground reached my ears and I looked over to the entrance of the arena, spotting Chiron entering and looking around before his eyes locked onto mine, and he galloped over.
"Leonidas, I received a prophecy."
... I looked at him for a moment, taking a deep breath.
"Fuck."
