"Okay," Hyacinth replied, and hurriedly took a picture to share with him.
"No problem, Hya. It will be on your doorstep tomorrow morning," he assured her.
"Does that mean you are going to bring it?" she asked curiously.
"Yes, I have to do it for my Hya," he replied jokingly.
"Then I will wake up early in the morning to see you," she responded playfully.
"We will see. Now, go and eat something," he advised her.
Hyacinth reached home and told the entire incident to Jubilee who teased her so much that she couldn't even walk straight.
"So, you asked him to help you?" Jubilee asked teasingly.
"Yeah, he knows everything about this place. I trust him to do my work. And guess what? He is going to deliver it to my doorstep himself," she shared excitedly.
"Well, then we are definitely going to see him," Jubilee exclaimed.
"Hopefully," Hyacinth replied, her mind consumed with thoughts of him and her new job. Her life was gradually returning to normal after her mother's death, as she had previously been in a state of numbness.
She spent the whole day lost in thoughts about her mysterious lover and her new job. It felt like a glimmer of hope after the darkness she had been through. Slowly, she was emerging from the numbness that had enveloped her since her mother's passing.
As evening settled in, Hyacinth found herself reflecting on her conversation with her lover, replaying their messages in her mind. The kindness and understanding he had shown when she had admitted her mistake touched her deeply. It was rare to find someone who valued honesty and forgiveness over material possessions.
With a newfound determination, Hyacinth made a decision. She would not let her past define her or hold her back in her new job. Instead, she would embrace this opportunity and give it her all. She knew that with her mysterious lover 's support, she had a mentor who would guide her on this journey.
...
Hyacinth was bubbling with excitement at the thought of meeting her lover. She couldn't focus on anything else except the fact that he was coming to her apartment himself. She set the alarm on her phone for 6 am, eager to wake up early. Everything was prepared, and even Jubilee, her roommate, was looking forward to meeting him as Hyacinth had talked about him incessantly. After tossing and turning for a while, Hyacinth finally fell asleep.
At 6 in the morning, her phone alarm was blaring, trying to wake her up. However, she was still so sleepy that she struggled to get out of bed. It wasn't until 7:15 that she remembered he was coming and wondered what on earth she was doing. Abruptly getting out of bed in her night dress, she hurriedly ran towards the door. And there it was - a beautifully decorated basket. She held it in her hands, looking around in search of him, but he was nowhere to be seen.
"Damn...!" she muttered to herself, disappointed. She went back inside and noticed a mug in the bow of the basket, accompanied by a cute smiley face with the words 'for my Hya' scribbled on it. At the same time, her phone beeped with a message.
"Bad morning... I suppose your night dress was a bit short. It didn't even cover your thighs," the message read.
"Bad morning... thanks for the mug. And I do like to wear comfortable dresses at night, at least," Hyacinth replied.
"But you were looking so cute with your messy hair and shocked expression... great combination," he teased.
"Wait, you were there? I didn't see you," she asked, confusion evident in her words.
"I was standing right in front of you," he revealed.
"No... I bribed your neighbor and asked him to let me stand inside his house so that I could see my good morning live in front of me. And there you were, as beautiful as always," he confessed.
"That's not fair... I wanted to see you too. Why don't you let me see you? I don't even know your name," she pouted.
"You will get to know soon. But for now, you have to get ready for the office, remember," he reminded her.
"Yeah, I have to see Mr. Schneider again... And give him his mug," she chuckled.
"Good luck then. I will be there to see you off," he assured her.
"Let's see if I succeed in finding you," she said playfully.
"By the way, you've tried to sketch me," he commented.
"How do you know?" she asked, surprised.
"I noticed you looking at me when you returned from the office. I saw you... But I must tell you, your sketch is quite close to the real me," he teased.
"You are impossible," she laughed, feeling a mixture of joy and anticipation.
"I am," he replied.
As they continued their playful banter, Hyacinth couldn't help but feel a rush of gratitude for having such a caring and thoughtful lover.
"At least tell me from which letter your name starts; maybe I could guess the name…" she asked curiously.
" D" he replied.
"Well, let's see if i can figure it out," she replied with a playful smile. "But for now, I have to go. Have a great day!" Hyacinth replied.
"Same to you, hya. Take care of that cup and don't break it again," he teased. "Also, try not to do anything reckless in front of your boss."
"I promise I'll be careful," she chuckled, appreciating his concern. "Wish me luck!"
"Good luck" he wished.
As Hyacinth got ready, she made sure everything was in order for the day ahead. She wanted to make a good impression at work. With a touch of excitement, she left her apartment and made her way to the office.
On her way to the office, Hyacinth couldn't help but smile as she sipped her morning coffee from the mug he had given her. It brought her comfort and reminded her of the thoughtful gesture. She planned to ask Mr. Schneider about the mug and hoped it would be a good conversation starter.
