After wrapping up her tasks, Hyacinth packed her belongings and began her journey back home. Along the way, her new friend Gabriel asked for a lift, but she politely declined, stating that she had other plans. "No thanks, Gabriel. I have somewhere else I need to be. You don't need to worry," she assured him.
Lost in her own thoughts, Hyacinth walked through the cold and dark night, oblivious to the fact that she was headed in the wrong direction. It was only when she heard the blaring sound of a car horn that she snapped back to reality.
"Aahhh!" she screamed, feeling a surge of panic. Her heart raced as she realized that five men were swiftly approaching her. With nowhere to hide or escape, fear gripped her tightly.
"Please, just leave me alone," Hyacinth pleaded, her voice filled with desperation. But her words fell on deaf ears as the men showed no signs of relenting.
"I said go or I will call the police!" she threatened, reaching for her mobile.
However, one of the men snatched it from her grasp and flung it aside. Disoriented and terrified, Hyacinth continued to plead with them. "Don't touch me, I said!"
"Aw, why are you getting scared? Come on, let's hang out together. We'll have some fun," one of the men taunted, a sinister grin spreading across his face. Frustration welling up inside her, Hyacinth mustered all her courage and shouted back, "Just go to hell!"
Feeling helpless and unable to think straight, Hyacinth closed her teary eyes and began to pray silently, seeking guidance and protection from a higher power. The impending danger and the feeling of her life hanging in the balance engulfed her. In that moment of despair, she let out a final scream of desperation, "Nooo!"
As her voice echoed through the night, her world went dark. Unconsciousness took hold, shielding her from the imminent threat.
A man arrived and witnessed the entire incident. He grabbed one of the men by the neck and started attacking the others, incapacitating them. Once they were subdued, he noticed her. Wearing a mask to conceal his identity, he lifted her gently in his arms and headed towards his car. In just a few minutes, they arrived at the hospital, where the doctor thoroughly examined her as per the man's request.
"Mr, she is perfectly fine. You don't need to worry," reassured the doctor, providing a satisfactory explanation to the man. He handed the doctor Jubilee's number, requesting that she be informed, but made it clear that he did not know Hyacinth personally.
When she woke up, Jubilee was already there, and in her moment of relief, Hyacinth instantly embraced her. "Oh Jubilee, I was so scared. Thank God I'm saved, but..." her thoughts trailed off, still troubled.
"I don't know, the doctor informed me about you. So, some unknown person saved you," Jubilee replied with concern.
"Really... Who could it be?" Hyacinth questioned, pondering the possibilities.
"Maybe Mr. D..." suggested Jubilee, attempting to make sense of the situation.
"I can't believe it, but the circumstances do seem similar. It has to be him," Hyacinth whispered, her voice filled with a mix of emotions.
"Come on, we need to go home. And by the way, your laptop is driving me crazy. You have countless unread emails. I didn't read any, don't worry," Jubilee informed her, trying to lighten the mood.
"Yeah, I need to get home quickly," Hyacinth agreed, a small smile gracing her lips as she held onto the belief that it was indeed her beloved Mr. D who had come to her rescue.
With a sense of gratitude and renewed hope, Hyacinth and Jubilee left the hospital, thankful for Hyacinth's miraculous rescue.
...
Hyacinth reached her apartment and went straight for her laptop since her phone was broken. As she opened it, she was overwhelmed by the number of messages waiting for her.
- "Hya, I'm sorry I haven't replied. I wasn't feeling well."
- "Please don't worry, I'm fine now. I was unconscious which is why I couldn't reply."
- "Are you angry with me? Please don't be."
- "Hey, how are you doing? And what did the doctor say?"
- "Did you get hurt?"
- "Reply, damn it!"
- "Hya...??"
There were so many messages and she couldn't even read all of them.
- "You, what...? What happened? Are you alright?" She typed feeling worried for him.
- "Tell me, please." She urged.
- "I'm good, don't worry now." He assured.
- "But tell me, why did you faint?"
- "Actually, I'm suffering from diabetes now. That's why I fainted."
- "Diabetes? But how?" She inquired.
- "It's an inherited problem." He replied.
- "Oh... I wish I could do something." She wished.
- "You are doing something just by talking to me. I'm sorry again for not replying." He apologized again.
- "No problem, I understand. But I was feeling horrible that you stopped talking to me. Never ever do this to me again, I will die." She pleaded.
- "Oh, don't start this emotional blackmail , if not i will not be able to live in this world." He messaged back.
- "What the hell did you say? Never say this again" She lectured.
- "Okay, Hya. Now how are you? Tell me why the hell you forgot your way?" He asked.
- "It means you were here?" Hyacinth asked.
- "I know everything. It doesn't mean that I'm with you, I have my own sources." He explained.
- "Okay, but this diabetes thing is not okay." She said.
- "Don't worry, Hya I'm good as long as you are with me." He replied.
- "I'm with you always, and don't you dare not reply to me again." She pleased once again.
- "Okay, madam. It won't happen until my last breath because I can't guarantee after that."
- "Shut up!"
- "Okay, Hya. I'm good. You are good now. Let's sleep. I have to go to the office. Lots of work is pending. I couldn't go due to illness."
This made her suspicious that Mr.D, Mr douglas and Mr Schneider weren't in the office. It was strange and she couldn't help but feel confused.
