Hyacinth quickly finished getting ready and left for work, feeling excited to see him again that evening. Jubilee was going to work, so she and Hyacinth departed together, locking the house. When she arrived at the company, she looked around but didn't notice anything suspicious. She entered her office and sat at her desk, waiting for her boss's orders. Soon enough, he called for her.
'Miss Hawkins, in my cabin now.'
'Yes, sir,' she replied, walking along with a mug in her hand. She knocked on the door and he ordered her to come in. She placed the mug on his desk and apologized.
'I'm sorry, sir, for this. I will never do such a thing again.'
'It's better for you that you found it. I'm suspicious how you found it. It's very rare, I got this from a Los Angeles superstore. It's not available in Florida. But whatever, it's good that you found it. Otherwise, your job would have been at risk.'
'Yes, sir,' she said, her mind wandering as she thought about how her mysterious lover found it so easily. Los Angeles was so far from Florida, but surely she owed him that too.
'So, you have to make a report on my meeting. You have to attend all of it with me as my PA. Give me details of the clients, their performance, figures, everything.'
'Yes, sir,' Hyacinth said, noting everything down in her diary. 'Anything else, sir?' she added.
'Yes, get a black coffee for me.'
'Yes, sir…' she responded, taking his mug and making coffee for him before returning to his office.
Mr Schneider was shouting at some employees who had not done the work according to his requirements, scolding them loudly. Hyacinth got scared listening to his raised voice. She didn't dare to enter without texting her lover, Mr. D.
"Mr. D, he is getting mad at someone. I'm too scared, what should I do? I'm standing right outside his cabin, please save me..."
Suddenly, his voice grew softer. She could barely hear what he was saying, and the employees left. Hyacinth gathered the courage to knock slowly on the door, wearing a frightened expression.
She entered into the room and met a man inside who was operating his phone. He looked up immediately from his phone to see her, then he smiled.
", Welcome Hya" He replied with a smile.
She was dumbfounded as she stared at him wondering how he knew her name.
"Good morning sir" she greeted then she turned over to Mr Schneider.
"Good morning sir" she greeted but he just nodded.
She placed the mug on his desk and asked,
'Sir, is there anything I can do for you?' He simply looked at her, and she saw that his eyes were red with anger, which only added to her fear. He stared at her for a long minute without saying anything, then finally shook his head no.
'Okay, sir...' Hyacinth murmured, walking back to her cabin to check her texts. But there were none. She waited for a few minutes before finally hearing a beep.
"Don't worry... he will calm down. Just go in..."
"I'm out of his cabin now. Thankfully, he didn't shout at me. I was really scared when I saw his angry eyes..."
"Don't worry. Everything will be fine. When he sees you, he will forget everything. I've tried it too...
Hyacinth blushed and typed a response.
Thank you. I'm feeling better now. Her mind went back to the encounter she has with the man at the office wondering how he might have known her name. She shrugged it off considering maybe her boss might havé told him about her.
He might be a close friend or business partner to the boss, she thought.
Meanwhile back at Mr Schneider's office, he lashed at his friend.
"Why the hell did you tell me to keep my voice low" he inquired.
" Calm down Nick. It was the best decision. I mean how can you go about shouting at your employees? I'm scared you're get a sore throat soon. Your employees would be more scared of you" he replied.
" And that's what I want. I want my employees to be scared of me." Mr Schneider replied.
Douglas sighed.
" You are never goanna change" he retorted.
" I like my self the way I am" Mr Schneider said.
Douglas phone suddenly beeped and he resumed to operating it while smiling.
" And why the hell are you smiling " Mr Schneider inquired.
Douglas looked up rolling his eyes.
" I don't think it's your business, Nick . " He remarked.
...
The following day, Hyacinth entered the office and noticed that Mr. Schneider was wearing a similar color to her. She had on a blue top, and his tie happened to be blue as well. At first, she thought it was just a coincidence, but over time, this occurrence seemed to happen more frequently. No matter what she wore, he would always have a matching color in his outfit. Additionally, his friend, whom she had come to know as Mr. Douglas, would regularly approach her and engage in pleasant conversations. His familiarity with her personal information left her wondering about his identity. Feeling increasingly frustrated, she decided to confide in Mr. D about the situation.
"Hey, bad morning... Sorry for not responding earlier. I woke up a bit late, and it messed with everything…" She responded.
"Bad morning morning to you too. Did your boss scold you?" He asked.
"No, thankfully. I think there's something strange going on with him. She replied.
"Why?" He asked.
"Whenever he gets angry, he calls me into his office. He stares at me for a few minutes and then asks me to do minor tasks that he could easily communicate over the phone..." She reported.
"That's weird. Don't worry, maybe he has a crush on you." He commented.
"Shut up. I've seen him scold other people so harshly...you can't even imagine..." She mused .
"Hahaha ..." He laughed.
"What's so funny? You have no idea..." She pouted.
