Seated round a circular table, the five rulers of earth, Roderick Truesdale, Constantine Truman, Brielle Verill, Renjiro Sadiki, Elias Henley and Alexander Dillons, were discussing the issue brought forth to them by the people. This room was specially designed for meetings held by them. No one else entired this room beside the five rulers. It was painted all white and rather than walls, it had glass windows for view of the outside. It was well conditioned and designed as well. At the center of the table was a virtual monitor that currently was not in use.
"So, the people are waiting on our say concerning the missing children." Constantine, the white bearded, one eyed, white haired one, spoke. He was quite relaxed on his chair, moving it side to side while twirling a pen.
"Do we send in clones again or go with my plan of a massive wipe out?" Renjiro asked. He was the shortest amongst the five, but not the smallest built. His black hair fell over his eyes blocking out his vision and leaving the rest of his face visible. No one, not even the people around him had ever seen his eyes and they all thought it was best that way. It was rumoured that those who did, didn't leave to tell of it.
"A massive wipe out? That wouldn't work." Brielle, the only Queen in the room said. Her lush red hair fell in locks and curled at the end. She looked through her red almond shaped eyes and and spoke through her heart shaped plump lips. Most people believed she definitely had to be some sort of goddess to have these features at her age.
"The littlest discovery can trigger back their memories. If they find a belonging with a name they do not recognize in their homes, what would be the explanation? Let's use the village for example, people that close together all forget that sixty seven children were taken, and then they begin to find something like books with names they do not know in their houses, or maybe clothes or shoes, and they all notice how strange it is. What do you think will happen? Questions rise and one way or the other, their memories are triggered."
"Assuming it does work, we need to alter specific memories from different individuals. I don't think we will be able to go to every person, find out what child, niece or whatever that's missing and just how old the child is so we can accurately remove the memories." She gave her reasons for memory wipe not being a good idea.
"So clone is the best choice. But we are running out of stories as to where they had been or taken to." Alexander said. He looked to be the oldest of the lot, with visible wrinkles and slowly forming bald spot on g back of his head. Nonetheless he was as good looking as they all were.
"How about, like we always did, we send out less than half the number that was abducted and then have them say they had escaped before getting to the destination and it took this long for them to find their way home," said Roderick, the dark haired lunatic who was the most handsome male seated. His pupils were silver coloured, his person looked as though they were finely sculpted by the hands of an amazing artiste. One of the perks of being the first supernatural in the world.
"We have used the loss of memory trick, the 'sick and then died' tactic, the 'I was about to be sold by traffickers' lie and so much more, this is just adding another." He added.
"Okay, we have a plan then." The last member, a rather chubby one with a beer belly and the fashion for wearing a monocle on his right eye, Elias said. "We all know what this means no more abductions for at least the next three to five years, right? To give things time to die down. This has gone on for too long incessantly, we should at least give them a chance to reproduce." He said with a smirk. They all nodded in agreement except one who looked saddened .
"This also means, no fresh ones." Roderick said looking downcast.
"Don't be so down Rod, we still have ways to enjoy this recent batch." Constantine said with a smile and an attempt to cheer him up. "Now, back to the pressing matter of us having to give them culprits to find, what do we do about that?"
"We stage an abduction and have the police find them."
"They get arrested, beaten or whatever to give names and reasons, this goes on for a while, they spill the 'planned' beans and direct the other staged culprits whom are with more clones. They get arrested and the clones are sent to their 'families' to be reunited. A fake story is told to the police and everything from thereon out is none of our business." Brielle aired out her idea.
"Two sensible inputs in one meeting. I didn't know you had it in you." Renjiro joked. She gave a murderous look and then looked away.
They all saw some sense in what she said and decided to go with that.
"Okay then, case closed," Roderick said and was about to leave but was stopped by Constantine.
"This case is not closed. We still to decide on who'll carry out this task for us. Rasmus has made a lot of mistakes lately, we need someone else." He said and Roderick fell back on his chair.
"You're right. But Rasmus is most trusted, who can fit in his place?" Alexander asked.
"What about the girl, Rasmus' right hand. She has had more successful operations as of late and she always has wonderful ideas." Renjiro made a suggestion.
"There's no one I can think of other then her and Rasmus. She does seem fit for the job." Brielle said in support of his suggestion.
"She is not a bad choice," Elias commented.
"So, we all agree on the queen of darkness?" Constantine asked. They looked at each other and nodded in agreement. "Alright then, case officially closed."
"I can finally leave." Roderick stood up but was stopped once more by Constantine.
"Not so fast gentleman, you will be the one to contact her," said Constantine.
"Why me?!" Roderick yelled.
"You were given the privilege to use ten instead of five yesterday, so you have to do some work." Renjiro responded. Roderick was pissed. He rubbed his temples with his eyes closed for a while, before finally stomping off with a smile.
"Our very first successful meeting with little to no bantering."
