Chereads / Nephilim's Ascension: Alone in the Demon Realm / Chapter 29 - First Day in School

Chapter 29 - First Day in School

Inside a dark room, two demons each could be seen sleeping in separate Bunk Beds, Around them more of these beds could be seen.

A bell rang soon, and they all started waking up; they looked at each other and started preparing.

Yesterday, they all were too tired, so they had their dinner and slept without caring about other things, but once they opened their eyes today.

Some high-class demons were uncomfortable. It was as if the presence of low-level demons disgusted them.

They had to take turns to share the public bathrooms to get ready. They had already received two sets of their uniforms for more they would need to pay.

Today was the first day in Royal School and also the most important one; after getting ready, the students were led to the school mess.

Here, they were all given a plate, each having the same portion of food. Nothing was much; it had meat, crusty bread, soup, and salad.

What was worse for many nobles was that they didn't taste good, while most of the high-class citizens looked down on this meal. Some were eating it with water in their mouth and bright expression on their faces.

Amon and Kael sat together, at the long table and started eating their food.

No one wasted more time here or tried to make a mess. It was not because they all were well-behaved and disciplined.

It was because this was their first day, and they were still not officially admitted. All students had to fill out a form and then take a test; after that they would get the badge.

It was rare for someone to be kicked out of the School after just getting admitted, but it was not something that couldn't happen.

Students were led to the office; only 250 students were admitted this time. They were lined up to receive the form.

In this form, they had to answer some simple questions about themselves based on which their exam would be conducted.

This was done to identify and separate the students' talents based on them. This School aimed to find talented students and nurture them to become capable leaders.

Many high-level commanders, Artificers, wizards, and Warriors.

Senior students came and distributed each of them a form; Amon received his form and looked at it. He borrowed a pen and filled out the form.

[Name: Amon Duscrowned

Age: 12 years

Gender: Male

Race: Nephilim (Human)

Elemental Affinity: None

Magic Proficiency: Prana

Weapon of Choice: Sword

Talent: None

Special Ability: Regeneration, Angel's Sight.]

His form didn't look that good. It was not his fault that he could not write about other things. He wrote only that much that the form asked for.

After taking the form, the students were divided into three groups; First and second had many students, while not many students were in the third group.

Students were called one by one; all Amon had to do was wait for his turn. In his line, there were many muscular and tall demons.

From what he could guess, they had been divided based on which type of Magic they used; he was in the group that used Prana.

The group besides his group was of Elemental Magic users, while the last might be of Spirit Magic.

He also saw some students standing in the middle of the two groups; he heard that they were students proficient in two types of Magic.

The line in which he stood became shorter and he continued moving forward; finally it was his turn and he was asked to follow a senior. He was not alone with him was a group of five students.

First, he was taken to a room with them; there he saw someone familiar. This was the who guy suggested that he wear his Armor before entering the third trial.

He smiled at him before looking at others; one by one each of them was asked to come to the center and stand in between the strange circular pattern.

It was similar to a clock with multiple circles in place of the numbers, Every time a student sat in between and summoned his Prana, they lit up one by one in the clockwise direction.

The first one was able to light up six, the others cheered for him but the man taking test didn't react.

Second one was only able to light five lights and was looked down on by others, third one was able to light the seven lights.

The fourth one was one step ahead and lit the eight lights; third and fourth one were friends, so they congratulated each other.

This time, even the man with crimson eyes raised a brow; the one to go last was Amon.

Others looked at him; he was not as tall as them, nor was he muscular. His young age also made them not think highly of him.

Amon ignored them and sat in the center with his legs crossed; he took a small breath and attracted the Prana in the surroundings. A small gust appeared and surrounded him.

Lights started glowing up one by one; It started from one then two, three four, and five.

It stopped there, which made others sigh in relief; the man started at Amon with his keen eyes. Disappointment could be seen in his eyes.

It was then Amon released his breath, and the lights started glowing up one by one at rapid speed.

Seven

Eight

Nine

It stopped there but Amon didn't stop he took a bigger breath and attracted the Prana toward him; the lights increased again.

Ten

Eleven

Twelve

"Impossible," said one of the boys.

The mouth of the onlookers widened in surprise; they could have never guessed this boy would have such high proficiency in Prana.

Amon slowly opened his eyes; the lights dimmed again. he looked at the man and saw him smiling at him. He also nodded as if appreciating his performance.

He stood up and stood again with others; this time, others looked at him with respect. They didn't know he would have such high Prana Proficiency.

It was rare for someone to have it to such a high extent; only members of the Ironhorn Family were said to have it such high.

They were then led to the room beside it.
