Chereads / Nephilim's Ascension: Alone in the Demon Realm / Chapter 12 - Mastering Prana Control

Chapter 12 - Mastering Prana Control

Prana around him followed his instructions and started encircling him; soon, he inhaled it into his body. He continued till his body had an ample amount of it.

Instead of losing his focus after filling up his body, he took a small breath, gathering all his focus into controlling the Prana inside his body and trying to distribute it equally all over his body before making it encircle it.

Seconds passed, minutes passed, and it was already half an hour. He exhaled and slowly opened his eyes. The moment he did that, Prana started to disperse back from where it had come; the only change was due to enhanced control; he was able to make a small amount of borrowed Prana his own.

A minute amount was absorbed by his body, nurturing it and making it stronger. He checked his improvement, unable to believe a sudden change like that would occur.

In the Dawn itself, he struggled to make even the minute Prana from the atmosphere his own. This reminded him again he would only be able to grow by making bold decisions.

Growing up, he had heard countless stories of many warriors from his mother; he noticed a pattern in them: only those who made hard choices could reach the top.

His feet left the roof and glided in the air temporarily before landing gently on the grass bed. How easy it was for him made him again notice the changes in his body.

Celebrating this moment, he continued his training even in the worst weather.

Two pairs of blue and scarlet eyes shone from the window at the top. Placed on two beautiful faces, Both sighed in relief as they made eye contact.

Amon's situation had worried them; however, they were helpless here. They were smiling, unable to hide their joy; the boy had lived up to their expectations.

He had been struggling to focus the previous two days; what he learned gave it too big of a shock.

This halted his progress, stopping him from giving his best. Chaotic thoughts made it impossible to focus; the boy that appeared before them now looked confident and determined.

As if asking the world to test him, his determination looked unshakable.

"I believe now he is ready to go to that place," said Vallaire, her silky brown hair dancing in the wind.

"That is the worst of places, filled with bloodthirsty demons. The current him would also struggle to survive there", said Melusina.

"While I am confident he can face them with strength, I am worried about his mentality. Unaware of the cruelty of the world; how will he be able to face mental battles?" Worry could be seen in Valliare's eyes.

"I think it's unnecessary to think about it. You are forgetting he is a Nephilim with human blood. It might be a struggle for him initially, but once he understands the rules, he might become even more dangerous in this game," replied the scarlet-eyed lady.

"Oh!" A smile appeared in her eyes. "How could I forget? It was just that his father was not quite skilled in that regard."

"What was he like? You never talk much about him," asked Melusina curiously.

"He was like a reckless storm that would destroy everything in his path alone." She said before leaving; a hint of sorrow deep in her heart surfaced in her Aquarian blue eyes.

It's been a month since he had bathed in rain; during this period, he improved significantly. He also gathered helpful information about the place we was about to visit.

His Prana Mastery had reached such a state that he was able to control it to increase the physical capabilities of his body. His only sorrow was that his movements were sluggish; he needed more time.

Demon Schools are places where young Demons are trained irrespective of race, gender, or Bloodline. Everyone here was taught by the best experts in their fields.

After deciding to go, he would do his best to get admission into the top school. Excitement about learning Prana made him feel a little ticklish.

It took him a while before he decided to go to RRSM(Rayless Royal School of Magic.) However, it was tough to get admission in it; all Demons had to participate in a trial to prove their worth.

It was situated at the very core of the Rayless Dynasty, near Capital City. Unlike what he had initially thought, this school appeared to be elite in all departments.

There was nothing like some Magic being trained better than others; everything in this school was the best one could get in this Dynasty.

It was not named Royal School because it sounded good; it was because it had a history of producing the kingdom's best talents. Countless stories of the students who studied in it and later achieved incredible feats were common throughout the Dynasty.

He checked that he still had two months before the exam; these were crucial for him. In these months, he wanted to improve what he had learned to its peak.

Noticing he still had much to learn, he decided to fight more challenging fights and face life-and-death situations. However, that was impossible in the city; the only battle here was for the champions.

Deciding to improve himself, he went to ask for help from his mother. Vallaire heard him and found that his approach sounded good.

However, she still suggested that he practice for one more month and improve himself. He needed to practice with his sword for a better chance.

Rishi found that this was a good suggestion. He started his training again. This time, he focused more on getting fluid with what he knew.

His swordsmanship became more fluid, and he could now use his Prana to surround the sword and make its attack stronger temporarily.

At first, this new challenge made him face multiple setbacks. He was improving, but the pace was rather slow. However, after half a month, he succeeded in achieving a breakthrough.

Now that he had succeeded, he started training to master it, which took him two more weeks. After he felt ready, he went to the training ground again and challenged many opponents.

This time, he fought opponents who relied on their weapons. Fallen angels were a diverse race; they used multiple types of magic and weapons. Due to their long history, the knowledge they had was also endless.

This helped them be able to guide any fallen angel, no matter what he picked. Prana, however, was their weak spot; they were not very talented in Prana.

This led to them not having sufficient information about Prana, Amon was leaving all his hopes on the Royal School.

The battles this time were hard; he lost most of the time, but with each loss, he learned from his mistakes and improved.

Time passed by, and the period of one month was over. Amon had gained some muscles, and his body appeared to be in better shape.

He approached his mother and told her he was fully prepared now. His mother asked him to follow Melusina.

Following behind her, he was led to a horsecart, which started moving. As he looked at the city, he was reminded again how beautiful this place was.

From the stories he had heard, the rest of the area was filled with demons and demonic creatures that attacked everyone that crossed their path.
