Chapter 16 - New ways to use Prana

Amon tried his best to attack his opponent, but his opponent was a giant demon beast with tough skin.

If that was not enough, it also had an exoskeleton that further increased its defense. It had multiple tentacle-like limbs around its moth.

These tentacles moved like whips and tried to sting his body. To top it all, this creature was very swift, which made it almost impossible to escape from him.

He was struggling to get flung into the trees behind him. His regeneration was also at its limit.

At that moment, he got an idea—something that had been on his mind for a long time, but he could not test it.

'Argh,' he groaned as he was stung by three tentacles. He moved back and dodged the bite attack.

A jolt of agony rushed through his abdomen. "Shit, I need to hurry," he said as he saw blood leaking from his body.

He saw the teetering demon creature approach him and could see his death in the crimson eye on its forehead.

It was its only weak spot, but at height, and he would be defenseless while approaching it. The demon beast would swallow him before he reached it.

His heart started beating faster, and he closed his eyes for a moment. He took a deep breath and absorbed the Prana from the surroundings.

He opened them again, concentrating a major portion of his Prana into his sword. His sword started shaking as a thick blue aura surrounded it.

His eyes started glowing as he overexerted himself. The veins on his forehead expanded as if they would blow up at any moment.

White fumes started releasing from his body. 'Argh,' he groaned as the surrounding Prana started moving to his body forcefully to fill his Prana Reserve.

He concentrated the Prana absorbed to his feet as he exhaled. His eyes then shifted toward the opponent.

Small red veins could be seen in them; his feet left the ground the next moment.

'Screech,' the creature approached him at its full speed.

'Ahhhhhhh,' He roared as he raised his sword with both hands, exerting full force on his body.

His sword tore through the air, causing a storm. It slashed at the opponent as his body wooed past his opponent.

'Boom!' A small explosion followed as he appeared behind his opponent.

'Splurt.' He coughed up blood as his body shook, and his legs became weak as he fell to his knees.

'SCREEEETHHH!' The demonic beast released a loud cry before its body fell, shaking for a moment before remaining still.

'Ahhhhhhh,' He groaned as Prana from the surrounding area rushed toward his body. He stopped using Prana.

This torture continued before his body regained ten percent of its Prana. "It hurts," he said as he looked at his wounds.

"It would not be possible to heal them. Is this how it ends? Will I need to return?" He looked unwilling as he clenched his fists.

Then, he started feeling dizzy, and the next moment, he found himself surrounded by darkness.

He checked his body and found it was covered in wounds much worse than his own. Soon, he realized it was not his body.

It belonged to the man he had seen while fighting Damien. The man didn't react to his injuries.

He sat with his legs crossed and his back straight. He took a big breath from his nose, and his chest expanded.

His eyes gently closed, and he started focusing. Prana started flowing around his body. Soon, it stopped and started approximating his wounds and closing them, stopping his bleeding.

Not long after, its wounds started healing slowly. He released his breath, creating a small gust before him. He started taking tiny breaths in a rhythmic pattern and created a cycle.

He used Prana to heal his wounds; he then absorbed more Prana from the surroundings and recovered the Prana he used.

This cycle continued. 'Arghh,' he groaned as he felt a jolt of pain in his chest. The wounds were burning as if someone had spilled acid there.

He slowly stood up and approached the corpse. He took out his eye and heart before leaving the area.

Countless demon beasts appeared there and started devouring the corpse. They were waiting for him to leave for quite a while.

After seeing him take down the giant beast, no one was stupid enough to provoke him.

There was a very famous saying that an injured lion was more dangerous than a regular lion.

Amon appeared in a safe place and sat. His regeneration had started working, covering his wounds. It was working very slowly, but it was better than nothing.

He calmed himself down before sitting cross-legged, and with his back straight, he followed what he had seen.

Focusing was difficult due to his pain; he continued for a while before he could focus. He took a deep breath and started absorbing Prana.

It continued for a while before the gusts appeared around him, and he started to absorb Prana. Time passed by, and soon, his Prana was back to normal.

He rested for a while before focusing again and taking a deep breath, expanding his chest before controlling the Prana inside him and making it move around his body.

After being satisfied, he exhaled from his mouth before controlling it to gather around his wounds and heal them. It was way harder than he expected.

He started sweating, and his forehead started shaking. However, his efforts were not in vain. He soon found his body heaving slowly; this assisted his regeneration, and he started recovering faster.

It continued for a while, and a smile appeared on his face. Soon, it disappeared as he stopped. He felt tired and could not focus; he had lost half of his Prana.

He sighed; one day passed, in which he focused on recovery. It took him many turns to heal his body completely.

Each time, he focused on his critical wounds, which took longer to heal by natural regeneration. After this, he decided to focus on other things.

He took out his eye and heart. He took out his sword and dissected his heart but could not find anything.

He did the same to the eye, and soon, a larger crystal appeared in his hand. "It is a little smaller than what I expected."

His eye fell on the Heart, "I have not eaten anything; let's cook it."
