The group was eventually convinced to go exploring and they started their journey. They passed a lot of buildings but they were restricted from entering cause they were still first years. They eventually reached a large building with an equally large signboard with the words 'Weapons' written on it.
"Should we go in? I'm not really sure we should go into a building full of weapons on our first day." Damon said as they all looked up at the sign.
"Oh, come on. It'll be fun." Chloe stated before dragging Damon in by the wrist and the rest followed.
'Cool.' This was the thought on everyone's minds as they stepped into the building. It was full of weapons ranging from pistons to shotguns to flamethrowers to bazookas.
"OMG! Let's go check it out! Meet back at the checkout desk!" Chloe practically yelled and ran inside. The rest had no choice but to follow. They passed many weapons that interested them but only two actually picked out anything. Ryan picked a shotgun and a sniper. He bought a sash to put the guns in so he didn't have to carry them himself. He also took a small revolver and a long Katana along with a belt for the Katana. After that, he went to browse the bullet section. Chloe picked three air rifles, a rifle, five daggers and a scythe. Damon looked at the price tag of one thing and walked away. As for hunter, he just walked straight to the checkout and waited.
"Why didn't you guys buy anything?" Chloe asked once they all met at the checkout.
"The prices were a bit too high." Hunter said rubbing his head.
"Same." Damon said from behind him.
"That's no problem, come on." Chloe said then dragged them to the gun section.
"Pick out anything you want, I'll pay."
"N..no need, we.. we're fine."
"It's okay, I have more money than I can spend. What are friends for?"
"O..ok..ay."
Hunter went ahead to pick a sniper and a shotgun with a small piston for emergencies. He bought lots of modified bullets. These were designed to pierce even beasts skin and have a special fluid that renders a person powerless in seconds. He also bought a Katana and two daggers. The weapons were forged with special elements in them cause they wanted them to be able to pierce beast flesh.
Damon picked a pair of gauntlets, two shotguns and a pellet gun.
Chloe paid for everything and they were on their way once more.
"Thanks for the weapons." Hunter said as soon as they left the store.
"No problem."
"I'm starving, is there a cafe anywhere?" Ryan said.
"Yeah, me too." An unrecognised voice said from behind them.
"Who the heck are you?!" Damon said when they all turned around. They saw a black haired kid with a skinny frame wearing the student's uniforms.
"I'm your appointed tour guide. I'm supposed to take you guys on a tour around the school but I decided to let you do a bit of exploring first."
"So you were following us the whole time?"
"Yes."
"Can we just ditch this dweeb and go look for a cafe?" Ryan asked annoyed.
"Actually I will be going to the cafe with you to stop you from running off."
"We won't run off. We aren't kids."
"Can kids drive?"
"No."
"Can you drive?"
"Fine you can come."
"Great. Let's go."
They entered a cafe and each ordered something. They talked as they ate and found out the tour guide's name was Chris.
"Since everyone is done eating, we can head to the dorms." Chris said standing up and leaving while the others followed him.
They reached a building with a sign that said 'Domitories'
"You are each allowed to pick your dorm room and you will not be sharing dorms with anyone." Chris said leading them inside. There were several students in some of the rooms already settling in. On each of the doors, there was a screen where the doorknob would be. Some were red while the rest, green.
"What are the screens for?" Damon asked as Chris was still walking ahead of them.
"Those are sensors. They scan your handprint to grant access to the dorm. If you are not the occupant of the dorm, a silent alarm will be triggered alerting the school's security of a break-in."
"So what's the deal with the colours?"
"The green ones are empty and can be infused with a handprint while the red are occupied." He explained. "Many people think because of this they can have two dorms but once your handprint has been scanned, the information will be sent to the networks so that no other dorm can be infused with said handprint."
"You are free to go pick your dorms now."
"Finally." Ryan said before running off and the rest followed.
Coincidentally, they found four dorms right next to each other, two on each side of the hallway.
"I guess this means we'll be neighbours. Me and Damon will take the rooms in this side while you and Ryan take the other side." Chloe said before scanning her handprint and going into her dorm. The rest did the same and finally, they had time to relax.
The dorms were large but not too large for people their age. They each had a bedroom, living area, kitchen, bathroom, training room and balcony.
"Knock, knock." Chris said as he knocked on everyone's door.
"Whaaat do you want?" Damon asked as they all came out.
"Just wanted to tell you, when you're done settling in you can go to the cafeteria for lunch and by 4pm go to the grass field for the assessment."
"Is that it?"
"Yeah."
"Okay."
'4pm, this is still a little past 12pm so I have about four hours to prepare.'
They all freshened up and did their own thing. Hunter went to bed after setting his alarm clock to wake him up by 2pm, Chloe was on her phone, Damon was looking at the school through the balcony while Ryan was watching TV.
