Once Jake decided that it would be best to continue what he was doing rather than change his strategy now, at least not until he got those skills, he continued to hunt his next prey.
He needs to complete those two quests and also has to reach level 20 before he returns to New Bastion, but he can't stay hunting all the time in Yaros.
His real body is still in Tarro, and it is ill-advised for him to stay still for a long time. Even though he has awakened, he wouldn't start to feel that energy, not until he crosses Rank-2 and reaches level 60.
Until then, he is an average human of Tarro without any superpowers.
Even awakened are killed easily and without any strength to save himself, he is vulnerable to anyone that wants to hurt him. So he wants to reach level 60 on Yaros and by doing so, he can start his hunt on Tarro too.
Being a normal person on Tarro is not a good thing for Jake and it is something that he wanted to overcome as quickly as possible.
Even with that goal, he made sure that his real body didn't deteriorate. He would take quick breaks every now and then. If he reaches the goal but his body deteriorates, then what would be point of growing quick in Yaros?
Maybe when he strong enough on Tarro, he can stay in Yaros for longer intervals. Until then, he has to be a normal person.

Four days Later...
Four days went by and many things changed. He completed one of his primary goals and that is to reach level 20 and become Rank-1 awakener after that.

As Jake continued his hunt, he not only improve his level and reached level 20. Now he was eligible to take Rank-1 quest and proceed to next levels.
It was not just levels that Jake gained but also gained a lot of stats. In addition to +9 to his stats, he gained a lot by hunting the monsters in the Vale.
He already crossed normal Rank-3 stats and can defeat them if it was just pure strength but when a battle happens, it's not always about those stats but also skills and battle experience.
In addition to those two, Jake gained a new skill, Earth Resistance.
It is like fire resistance but against Earth-based skills or spells.
In addition to that, he also increased the ranks of various skills. Almost every skill that is related to Earth-based monsters increased. This was because Vale is full of monsters that are Earth element based.
Except for the Rage Rush, which he got from Rage Chickens, every skill or upgrade he got was based on Earth Element.
The reason why his Rage Rush improved may be attributed to his luck. Rage Chickens are not local to Adrian's Vale nor they were supposed to appear in the path but luck was on his side and he encountered two rage chickens in the Vale.
He killed them because, first they may cause the environment to change because of their presence. Second, there were Rage Roots where he discovered those two chicken and with the reduction in the availability of Rage Roots, the price surged suddenly.
Jake can sell these roots for atleast thrice of what they usually cost.
With his almost empty pockets and skill upgrade method discovery, he was in the need for those coins more than ever.
if he wants to increase those skills that he gained due to the Blessing, then he has to Dungeon Dive. Dungeons would only give exp and increase his level faster, rather than giving any loot, but with his blessing he would probably get stats and skills from the defeated monsters.
He never tried before but he has a feeling that Dungeon Dive is the best way to increase his skills faster. In order to do so, he needs proper weapons and armor, a lot of them. Weapons and armor have durability and once it reaches Zero, then it is a waste and would be of no use.
To buy proper weapons and armor, he has to get his hands on as many coins as he can before he starts dungeon diving.
So he is not going to let any loot go to waste. He would strip the entire Vale if he had to if that is the only way he can afford proper weapons and armor.
