Should I wait for the email or hunt until then?
Today is the day when I would get the responses from the academies about my admission. Whether I would be able to enter them or not, I would know.
After the school results were out, we can apply for all the academies that we are eligible for and we did. We can apply for all the academies that we are eligible for and today we would get the response whether they wanted us there or not.
A student would get a response only from the academies that they applied to and if more than one academy is interested, we have to choose one of them before the deadline. We have to respond before the deadline or else by default, it would be considered that we are not interested.
I applied to a few academies as well. Though I hoped to enter the Kernal's Guardian Academy, with my lower combat score, I wasn't eligible to apply for it. So I had to apply for other academies.
Today is the day that the academies that were interested would reply back. If there was no email, then that means they were not interested in you.
Out of those interested academies, one can choose the academy that the student believes best for them. When the academy sends their email, attached to it would be the offer from them.
The academies would be providing the students with various facilities and resources during their stay at the academy.
Each academy offers different terms to the students based on the resources that they have and the students that they would probably get after the exams.
The student can choose the best offer from all the offers.
Once we come to that decision, we have to send a reply to the academy within two days. After that, the academy would send an official contract within three days.
We have to sign the contract and send the contract back to them.
Once the contract was signed, there would be no going back. The students and the academy have to act accordingly. If the academy fails to provide what they have promised, then the students can sue the academy.
Similarly, if the students fail to complete the requirements from the academy according to the contract, then severe action can be taken against them.
It was not like this at first. Back then, the academies just accepted the students without any legal contracts but problems arose during that period.
Before joining, the agents from the academies would promise a lot to the students but once the academy starts, they fail to provide what was promised. Since the students were weak and couldn't do anything, they kept quiet at first but many caused problems once they were powerful.
To avoid such situations again, the academies and the students had to sign a legal document. Failure to follow it to the dot would be punishable, unless under extreme circumstances.
They made sure that both academics and students were punishable. Unlike last time, they learned that the students could also use a loophole but just use the resources and not return the favour for their help.
Leaving a loophole again could cause damages, which the officials can't accept with the trials that the world has yet to face.
I mean it is for the best. The academies wouldn't screw us over and the students would repay back to the society for the resources that they utilized.

Looks like the email I have been waiting for has arrived. let's check the email.

It looks like I am going to enter Alkore Northern Academy. It's the best academy of all academies that accepted to take me in. From the top five, no other academy accepted me because of my low combat rating.
Even the offer they made is much better than any other academy. So, there is nothing else I could do but accept the best that is available to me.
Moreover, it's the same academy that Selena goes to. From what I observed when I told her about my first choice, she appeared to not accept that.
I believe that she wanted me to attend the same academy as her. If that is true, then she would be happy about this.
There is one who may not be happy about this, Thea. I wonder which academies showed interest in her and what her choice would be.
I took my mobile and dialled her.

"Hey lazy bum, what academy did you get into?" Thea asked me as soon as she picked up the phone.
There was no greeting, nothing, just directly diving into the topic. Well, that is how she usually rolls. So there was no surprise for me.
"The best offer I got from is Alkore Northern Academy and it is the only one from the top five that offered me anything", I replied.
"Ah, I told you fool. You should be played more like everyone else. You may have gotten an offer from Kernal as well", she berated me for a while.
"Okay, okay I get. From what academies did you get offers?" I asked her, trying to change the topic as soon as possible, otherwise, she would be berating me for a long time if I gave her more time.

Thea said she would be accepting the offer from Alkore Academy as well, but I talked her out of that. She got an offer from Kernal as well and out of all offers that was the best.
Just because, I, her best friend can't attend Kernal, doesn't mean she shouldn't either. She has to make the best use of the offers before her or else she will regret it one day and I don't want to be the cause of her regrets.

I replied to the Alkore Northern Academy and after that, I entered Yaros. It would take a few days before I would get the official contract. So until then, the only thing to do was to level up.
