The guards were stunned. They stood there unmoving. I saw their faces, which were covered in shock and disbelief.
My heart pounded, my breath quickened, my vision blurred. I looked around and saw everyone staring at me, including the guards.
"You Talent Boy, Where did you learn that move," asked the father calmly mood.
I turned toward him and spoke in a low voice, "I can't tell you where I learned it, but I learned it from my countless battle on my journey with my party." I told him firmly.
I then glanced at Reina and Yuna, who had tears running down their cheeks. They looked like they wanted to say something, but were afraid to speak out of fear of further punishment.
"father Please don't this, he just young innocent boy!" Yuna spoke out loud with sadness in her voice.
"Yuna, don't think I will go easy on you for what you did. After leave the house, you went into the forest, disobey my order, and even brought this slave child who didn't belong to this family. You are lucky that your brother brings you back alive." Said the father with an intense cold stare at his daughter.
He continued speaking, "As a punishment for your actions, I will exile you from our family."
"No! Please stop!" Reina cried out loud as she started crying uncontrollably.
"I think, you going too far, father," Lance spoke with a deep growl.
"Silence!! If you dare talk back at me one more time, then I will give you the same treatment as your sister."
Lance bit his lip and kept quiet.
"You been to ruthless on your daughter and son, they are your children, you need to care about them." Said Ayase who couldn't bear to listen to this anymore.
The Father then turned his attention towards me, "You, Hiro Midnight, you come from noble family, I know that you have something that you want to protect, am I right?"
I nodded slowly and answered, "Yes."
"Then what is it?"
"My companion," I replied.
"Then why do you let her speak without permission? She's not your family member." The father said coldly.
I was speechless. He had just insulted me and my friend. I couldn't understand why he was treating us like this.
I never knew Ayase could speak like this, she was away from the public, and she was afraid to be judged for being a former slave. I feel regret and sadness from seeing her cry, it makes me want to comfort her and hug her.
I need a plan to prevent this out of control. But what can I do to fix this situation? What options do I have left?
After a moment of silence, I finally spoke, "Actually, their matter of speaking, You daughters save me, and promise me, they will be my mentor until the end of the year. And I don't care if I'm not their family member, but she's important to me." I told them with confidence.
The father frowned, "You... You... Think my daughter will teach you? How dare you speak like that? Do you think that just because you're a noble, you can do whatever you want? Well, think again. I will have you know that your actions will result in serious consequences!"
"That's enough action!!!" said the mother, who seemed insanely furious at this point, she looked at us with a glare that could melt steel and then turned her gaze towards the father, "I think that is enough talking. Don't you think it's time we deal with this problem once and for all? You are only making matters worse by acting like a child."
The father sighed and nodded slowly, "Fine, I'll stop here."
The father spoke out loud, "Guards, take them away."
In a flash, the guards grabbed Ayase and me, dragging us away from the scene.
The father spoke out loud, "I will give you one last chance before exiling you, if you don't accept it, then you'll never see your friends again."
I look at Ayase with a sad expression on her face, I can feel her sorrow through her eyes, she looks so scared and helpless, but I don't want to leave her.
I feel the urge to save her, to protect her. I don't want to lose her, even if it means sacrificing myself in order to keep her safe.
As soon I heard those words, I immediately made up my mind, "I'll accept your offer."
The father smirked and ordered his servants, "Take him away."
The servants grabbed Ayase and dragged her away from me, leaving me alone in this empty room.
I didn't know what to do next, I couldn't tell if it was because of the shock from seeing Ayase being taken away or because I had made a huge mistake. I was scared and confused, but I couldn't help myself.
I stood there motionless for a few minutes until a man approached me, he had grey hair, blue eyes, and a scar across his left cheek. He wore black trousers, a dark blue shirt, and a black jacket.
The man spoke, "It's a pleasure to meet you Hiro Midnight."
I looked at the man and replied, "Thank you, I guess."
The man laughed, "I'm sorry but, you are now a slave of this house, as long as you live here, you will obey our commands."
I sighed and nodded, "Alright, I guess I don't have much choice in the matter, do I?"
The man shook his head, "Nope."
"So what is it that you want me to do?" I asked curiously.
The man replied, "We need you to fight in the arena, as a gladiator."
My heart sank and my stomach turned at those words.
"I guess it makes sense that you want me to fight in the arena since it is one of the most popular forms of entertainment around here," I said sarcastically.
The man chuckled, "Yeah, I suppose it does make sense." To make the child fight in the arena for their glory, even if their opponent was a monster or beast, or a human, I will not give the person who would hire them a great gift.
One day, or month I will make sure i ripped the nobles apart, after I'm done, I will enjoy the scream of the fallen. I could also free slaves, it's going to be fun.
I stare a the man with a cold eye and watch that man walking away in a laughing term, he is probably not aware that his fate and his house's fate are about to change.
