Chapter 23 - Your ex-husband is an angel

At the nearest coffee shop.

With his index fingertips pointing out a line, he declared, "This saying is your husband-"

"Ex!"

He nodded in accordance and said, "Your ex-husband is an angel."

She dragged the book to her side, putting the coffee cup aside. As her attention was on the text, he leaned against the chair, relaxing with a crossed left leg, and sipped the cold coffee. It expressed him as a professional, rich, manly person, unlike Dae-Hyeon, who was blessed with a stupidity-filled, rich aroma.

She pulled up her index finger to dubiously scrub her side forehead when she read:

'Angels living on earth tend to live more years than normal people. Angels naturally get their shining attraction from their emotions. If it's a great pleasure, it will be bright white. If it's regretful, the same brightness evolved into dullness.'

She straightened to look at him. "Did you see him glowing last night when he was with me?" asked Sun-Hwa.

"Yes," he said, sending two brief, assertive nods.

She offered an uncertain blink in return, which earned subtly narrow eyes from Dong-Hon.

"Don't you believe me?" He asked, pulling his upper body forward, punching the coffee cup on the table, and clipping two sides of his lower inner tongue by using his lower teeth. He was slightly mad at her uncertainty.

"No," She vibrantly shook her head and splashed a cracked smile before dragging out her inner muddling mumble, "You are saying he is an angel. But.. he is more suitable for being the devil."

"Such a selfish devil!" Her voice came out pressurised.

"Yeah! A little bit," Dong-Han corrected her strong emotion.

"So what? What if he is an angel? I won't fall for him again!" She switched to rage mode in no time, causing Dong-Han's mouth to seal.

"He and his brother, both of them devils!" She muttered under her hot breath.

"What? What about his brother?" Asked Dong-Hon. Her hesitation seeded an intense crinkle on his face.

"His brother, Su-Won," she whirled out a sigh of awkward-tinged fury before continuing, "he treated me as physically abusive. That's why I'm here, hiding from him."

Instantly, the start of his brow met each other, biting his teeth so strongly that sound could be heard only by him.

"I'm expecting a peaceful life, Dong-Han. Please bring Dae-Hyeon back with you. If Su-Won knows his brother is here with me, he will easily come for me." She pleaded with a mournful gaze that fell on fired-up Dong-Han's glance, requesting a favour.

With a pondering and focused eye on her facial reaction, he asked, "Did he... Rap-"

"No, Just..." Nervously biting her lower lips to explain the thing.

As he noticed her view rolled down on her breast gingerly, he realized that the bastard played with her big boobs. In the blink of an eye, he overtook before her obscurely opened mouth brags anything.

"I understood. You go to work. I'll take care of that pervert." He exerted his influence.

"It's okay. You can't win against him." Hoplessely sighed out her breath once before she unseated and turned around to leave the shop.

Yeah, no one can defeat the broad-shouldered devil.

"One sec!" He stopped her, reaching out his hand to pick up her coffee cup and stretching it towards her. "Your coffee."

"Thank you," she offered a friendly smile, gently receiving it from him as he smiled back at her confidence-spilling, glowing eyes.

However, he quickly transmigrated into infuriation as his mind was entrapped on the person, who was the reason for her earlier resentfulness that he had never witnessed.

Abruptly, someone pumped on his shoulder and scattered his impatience. He turned to look at the person, who apologised politely.

"Please accept my apologies, sir," he requested, bowing his head.

"It's okay." Dong-Han let him pass since it was accidental. He turned back and glanced at the table, only to find out the book was missing. Eyes expanded and thundershook. He was unseated quickly, and he rushed to the other side of the seat.

Only after the view of the opened page of the book lying down near the table leg met his glance, a sigh of relief whirled out from his lips. "My precious!" he whined happily as he sat on his knee and picked it up.

Bold words in blue attracted his attention while his hands were closing the book.

He blinked, bringing his attention to the sentence, 'The next of kin of Angel King and his beloved can only identify angels and devils'

"What?" Dong-Han was surprised and realised that he did see the angel glow and was still able to see the glow.

"Am I an angel too?" He asked himself, and astonishment occupied his whole body. In reflection, the book slipped from his diminished grip and hit the floor as his gasp grew so long that he even forgot to exhale.

She entered room no. 12. Dae-Hyeon glanced at the clock. The time was 8:30 AM.

"What were you two talking about? It's been one hour." The voice came from the dining table, along with the ding sound of a glass plate landing on the dining table.

She veered her head towards him like a stroke, extremely fuming, causing Dae-Hyeon to pertify. "You are not my real husband to ask these questions, and I have no reason to respond to you!"

Headed back to her room.

Suddenly, Dae-Hyeon's body pumped paste from her back as his hand locked around her stomach.

"Dae-Hyeon!" She gasped, clutching his two hands, and tried to loosen the grip of his hug. Without delay, Blush crept around her cheeks as she felt his soothing warmth all over her back. His leaned face over her shoulder and his slightest caress of lips on her naked shoulder sent extreme hotness to her spine.

Dae-Hyeon then embedded his lips over her side neck before whispering near her ear, "See, your body doesn't even want to let me go. Accept me, Sun-Hwa."

She wheezed and turned her face to his sending forth of seduction, which was now an inch closer to her reddish cheek. Cleared her throat.

"I can kick your tick, but I don't want to destroy what made me happy once. Do you... still want to stay like this?" She sarcastically threatened him, causing him to cough panicky.

Instantly regretted. He scurriedly unlocked her stomach, laid back, and headed back to the dining table with short-speed steps.

She puffed her breath out disgustedly and drew steps towards her room.

Half an hour later, Sun-Hea came out; she wore a short office skirt. Her steps were hustled towards the dining table. Not even spending time to think about those foods made by Dae-Hyeon, hurriedly swallowed once after mincing for two to three times only.

Gulping water, her feet sped up to leave the house. The time had already passed 9:00 AM.

Immediately after she was seated on the moving bus, her phone buzzed. She took it out of her bag and switched on the screen.

[Intern Hyein]: Mr. Sun-Hwa, where are you right now? Our new boss has already arrived and was waiting to greet you.

Her fingers performed at high pitch on the keyboard, 'Coming'

She reached into the information collection department as her heels clacked along the floor.

"Mr. Sun-Hwa arrived!" Intern Hyein sounded

Sun-Hwa bowed, gasping for air, and straightened up. She spoke out while panting, "Sorry, Sir-"

She was stunned; her eyes glazed over the direction, and her jaw dropped in awe. Still, her chest moved in and out along with her panting.

It was Dae-Hyeon, offering a polite smile with one stylish wink at her.
