Chapter 24 - Did I hurt him?

Dae-hyeon tapped the fingers on the bench to get intern Hyein's attention, who was standing next to her. "Is she a leader?"

"Yes, Boss." Hyein promptly nods with a respective look on her face.

"Why are you standing there, Mr. Sun-Hwa? Come and greet our boss." Junior intern, Kyoku, clasped her arms and dragged her to the boss.

Two of the other young interns watched her swithering expression.

"Adjust your time in the office from now on. Don't be late again." The boss, Dae-Hyeon, advised.

"You are the reason for my late morning!" She curled inside her thoughts before he continued, "By the way, I'm Dae-Hyeon, your new boss. I'm a friendly type; feel free to ask anything, guys!" winked playfully at three employees.

She smirked behind her stubborn face. "Hah? Friendly? Selfish!" she sarcastically commented on her thoughts.

"Let's get back to work, guys." He clapped twice to stir the crowd of four people and was unseated to go to the boss' room.

When Sun-Hwa was about to step towards her table, he asked, "What about the information about the old building?"

Sun-Hwa dropped her feet and was quick to respond, "That's already ready, sir. I'll come with the papers in five minutes." She then sped up steps to her seat as he glanced at her before heading to his room, which was a small, wide surface with two transparent doors to get in.

One was normal, which he used to get in just now, and another one was attached to the extinction wall of the office. That door was placed four feet away from Sun-Hwa's chair. Anyone could be seen through the glass wall, but not from outside. If employees want to peek at the boss's activity, they can only go through the transparent doors, not through the glass wall that covered his office with its two ends attached to the two doors.

Sun-Hwa picked out a pen drive from her drawer after much bustle and left her table without delay.

Dae-Hyoen came out immediately after scanning her movement all the while now from that transparent glass fence.

He left the department following her, keeping his cool walk to not get caught by the other three young interns, who were engrossed in their computers.

Inside the well-ventilated resource area, Sun-Hwa was switching on the photocopier and laying the paper on it to make a copy.

A figure approached from behind while Sun-Hwa was busy readjusting the paper.

"Boom!" blasted a sound so close to her ear.

Sun-Hwa shuddered, jumped one step sideways, and rubbernecked at the person. It was Dae-Hyeon, splashing a wide, lovely smile.

"What are you doing here?" She knitted her brows and pierced into his earnest-filled eyes.

"Are you asking why I am here in the resource room or the office as a boss?" He mischievously asked. She fired in frustration.

"Both!" she struck in one word.

"For you!" he said, tilting his head to one side cutely as he admired her brief madness. His voice even spelled out endearing, which proposed his inner wants.

A hopeless sigh escaped her lips as her look judged his immutable craziness. She then moved further close to the machine, adjusted the paper, and switched it on.

Dae-Hyeon was extremely disappointed with her. Even after expressing his adorable side, she remained stubborn in her disagreement.

He clasped her fingers, which had been clinging to the photocopier machine, and he embraced it passionately after peeking at her nervous eyes fell on it. As she felt his body warmth increasing, like he was getting closer to her from behind, she faintly buckled her shoulder because of the tempting traces of his fingertips over her palm.

Despite how much she cursed at him, begging him to leave her, her body never went against him, not even once. It always seemed to be accepted that his every move sowed some confidence in Dae-Hyeon. Still, her hormones couldn't lie to Dae-Hyeon.

As soon as his lips reached out for her steaming ear, her side face seized it without tolerating his tickling breath. "Dae-Hyeonna, we are in the office." Her voice whirled out like a wheeze as her deep inner self had already lent her to him.

"Are you okay if we are out of sight?" He competitively whispered over her ear, and a smooch of his ear-clung lips sent a shiver down her spine.

A hot, deep sigh curled out of her mouth. "No," she said, gasping. Words wanted to keep him away, but her emotions wanted to keep him closer to her. "Don't go, Dae-Hyeon!" She screamed inside, eagerly waiting for his next move.

"Kirrrk..."

Sound of the door opening.

In a trice, she shook off her hand and her butt to shove him back. His steps went backwards without his approval until he stomped his feet steadily. He straightened up to look at her, braiding her feet nervously, acting like she was photocopying. Two brows met in perplexity until he spotted an unknown male employee passing him with a punch of papers.

"Use this paper after this; those are not in use, madam," the male informed her, stretching the pile of papers to her.

She creakingly bowed and nodded while politely receiving those punches of paper from him. The shivering of her body was not put into view, even though she was aware of it.

"Thank you." Her reply even held a tight structure, shrouding her thundering heartbeat.

Then the employee picked up the old papers that had the old logo of the company and passed Dae-Hyeon, who rolled away his Irish, bit his teeth shamefully, slid his hands inside the packet, and embarrassingly turned towards the window side to avoid eye contact with the employee.

Without changing their standing position, two of their earlobe's top tips are whopping to hear the door shut.

*Shut*

They exhaled a deep, relaxed sigh at the same time.

She veered to him, intensively raged. "Behave yourself, Dae-Hyeonna!"

The calm she expressed until their bodies were close to each other embedded a pleasure; now her seeth pierced his heart in no time. His face went miserable instantly, and his eyes fell to the floor. "Sorry," he voiced down and left the room.

His sudden misery was enough to squeeze her heart. Did I hurt him? She asked herself, and with an anxious look, she gawped at him, walking away with a slack shoulder.

How can one endure if their loved one is acting flighty so often? Dae-Hyeon was disappointed and was whining inside, knowing she still hated him even though he tempted her desire, which she had always wanted since she loved him.
