Chapter 25 - Give me a chance, I can't go away from you!

What did you do just now? He is your love, Sun-Hwa. How can you hurt him in this way? Even if you hate him, tell him smoothly. Dae-Hyeon is not like other men! She washed out her thoughts, running out of the room after switching off the photocopier.

Spotting Dae-Hyeon walking along the corridor like he had lost everything, Sun-Hwa opened his mouth to say, "Dae-"

"Hi, Dae-Hyeon!" The chairwoman appeared in front of him.

Sun-Hwa clung behind the wall before falling in sight of the chairwoman, who approached Dae-Hyeon before even she fully pronounced his name.

He was quick to modulate his expression with great pleasure. Indeed, he didn't want anyone to spot his mourning. "Hi, Chairwoman!" He greeted her and bowed.

"I still don't understand why you want to be boss of the worthless department. Is there anything you want?" with a curious look, she asked.

"Worthless department?" Sun-Hwa scowled.

"Yes," he nodded. It languished in speed, mixed with yearning and dithering.

"If you don't mind... may I know what that is?" Reluctantly slowed down her voice.

"Wife, I came for my wife." He said, forcefully shoving out a smile as his thought illustrated Sun-Hwa's fierceness in front of his face.

Sun-Hwa was swallowed by shock, having a shade of conflict. She acknowledged his chase after her, but still, she thought that he was insincere and roaming behind her just to find the mystery of his unnatural power of virginity.

"Wife? Wow! Nice, Dae-Hyeon. Nowadays, seeing rich people running after one person is rare. I wish you good luck!"

Chairwomen tapped his shoulder and passed him as he gave an eye smile.

Is he really coming for me not to find his..? She thought to herself. Lingered blinks and pulled-down eyebrows revealed her indecision.

Dae-Hyeon plunged into misery again and headed to the office.

A hopeless sigh escaped her pursed lips. "So what? I can't accept you, Dae-Hyeon. If it were not for your brother and your selfishness during our marriage life, I would've stayed with you. Sorry, Dae-Hyeon. You have no choice but to suffer like this." She proclaimed herself and ejected his suffering like it was nothing in front of her, fearing that Su-Won would come for her anytime and he would go fierce. She would not resist killing Dae-Hyeon if Sun-Hwa decided to be with him.

She then made her way back to the resource room.

As soon as he noticed Boss coming inside, Hyein stood up, stretching the pile of files, and informed him without even spending a second to assess his dull face, "Sir, these files need your sign."

His lazy hands received it gently before heading to his room.

A few minutes later, Sun-Hwa entered with a copy of the papers and stepped towards the boss' room. She knocked on it while he was signing and then set foot in.

"Here is the information file, sir." She put it next to the paper he was signing. inhaled a deep breath as she spared some minutes to glance at his downhearted ambience and puffed out in dismay because of his stubbornness.

She then turned to leave the room. Still, his activity remained stubborn, fully focused on signing the papers. That could be seen through the door, where Sun-Hwa peeked once again before veering around towards her seat.

After settling in, she bit her teeth. Anxiety was already ruling her emotions. She tapped the keyboard viciously and muttered, "Why? Why is he acting this way? This bothers me!!!"

She then looked up at the computer screen only to find a black, blank screen. Her eyes stopped moving instantly, she glanced down, and checked that the CPU was still on. It thundered in her heart without delay. "Oh, moh!" She whined and plucked her intern's attention.

As she tried to switch off and on again, they arrived in front of her table, asking, "What's wrong, leader?"

"This screen is showing black suddenly. I don't know what to do," she said, fluttering.

"I will check it; come this way." A young adult boy approached the CPU as Sun-Hwa stood up and made way for him.

Dae-Hyeon casually located Sun-Hwa's nervous mixed expression emitting eyes looking down at the intern working on the computer just when he straightened up to pick up papers. Even among the three members, his glance catches Sun-Hwa first.

"Why is this not working?" Sun-Hwa tries to turn on the computer and type on the keyboard, expecting it to turn on.

"What's the problem?" Dae-Hyeon joined the watchers.

Sun-Hwa looked at him and said, "This computer stopped working suddenly; my few files were on the computer. I didn't transport it to my pen drive yet."

"Do you know how to fix this?" He looked down at the young boy, confused by the plugs.

He looked up at Dae-Hyeon and said uncertainly, "A little bit."

"Intern Hyein, call mechanics, " he ordered, turning to leave the place.

"No!" Sun-Hwa shouted, stopped his step from moving further, and twisted him towards her.

Turning down her tone and tinge of whine, she said, "I have no money to pay."

He judged her urgency, saying that she should repair this soon but had no money, which caused her emotions to become anxious.

"All go to your place; I'll take care of this." Stony-faced Dae-Hyeon scrolled up his sleeve and squatted down on his paw as the intern boy moved back to his seat.

"Oh, Boss! Do you know how to fix this too? Wow!!" Hyein exclaimed. "You are a handsome, well-mannered man who is also good at this type of work. No wonder; your wife will be the luckiest one in the world!" She left the place after praising him, causing him to look up at Sun-Hwa, whose eyes were already falling on him with the slightest guilt.

He grasped her hand and pulled her down closer to him.

"Ah!" A slight groan escaped her lips as she fell to the knee next to him.

With his face closer to her, making her heartbeat race, he whispered, "Don't you hear her? What I'm lacking to be your husband?"

It was more like he was pleading.

Your insincere, fool! She yelled into her mind, keeping a poker face. However, her hot breath, which was evidence of her inner shout, could be heard by both of them.

"I'm sorry for earlier; I won't do anything like that from now on. Please forgive me, Sun-Hwa." He appealed. He does not even want to drift his gaze away from her. His earnestness-filled emotion openly suggested that he really, really wanted to be with her.

"Can you make it work or not?" She strongly stood to dodge his every emotional appeal.

They whispered to each other quietly to avoid being heard by the engrossed interns.

"I can, but will you do one favour for me?" He asked, in both request and demand.

"Don't ask me to remarry you!" She pulled out precautions heartlessly.

But that was exactly what his mouth was about to spill out. Hearing her warning, he gulped that word, coming up with another one instead. "Can you please accept that whenever I touch you, I will not go down without your permission? It's hurt me; you accept it until my hands are on you, but shout the very next second after I pull my hands."

He paused and sent a mournful, melting gaze before continuing, "Isn't that what you proposed on our anniversary night? Give me a chance; I can't go away from you."

She drifted her eye away from him and looked down, as if she put appeal into some thoughts to consider it. Both of them failed to recognise that they had interlocked their hands all the while since he pulled her down.

"But... I can't marry you!" She firmed up and stared back at him.

"It's okay, I'll make you fall for me again no matter what!" He said, challenging. "Since your body obeys me, no wonder if your heart desires me anytime."

Unheralded, his lips pressed against hers and he gifted her a long, deep kiss, causing her expanded eyes to blink in astonishment. His eyes were closed, fervour peeked, and his lips clutched her slightly drifted lips. She shut her eyes emotionally as his lower lip subsided and sucked her upper lips once again, appealingly.

He then moved back his head, his enchanting eyes assessing her reddish cheek and her wavering eyelashes. "See, Sun-Hwa! You like it." He dictated.

She splashed out her shyness with one deep inhale and one exhale. Remind him, "I did your favour. Now do my favour!"

She stood up and sat in her seat as he nodded and turned his focus on repairing the CPU.

His corner lips curled into a gratifying smile while his hands were searching for the missing cables under the table.
