I was just an average graduate who just wanted to begin a job search. I have a friend who supports me and an aunt who loves me. I never knew my life would finally come to this. I never knew the very next moment I leave my father's side, I would be transported to an unexplainable world of sword fighters and blood suckers. If only i have had a haunch in the first place, I would have stayed behind and said yes to Ken's proposal; maybe I wouldn't find myself in this world of arrogant blood suckers with my Destiny Angel whom I just unconsciously got engaged to.
Oh, when have my life come to this?
"You deserve a punishment for abducting my fiancee and bringing her up to your chamber Sergei."
"What?!"
Devon turned around to look at the bowing soldiers. He sure is the commander here for this many group of people to obey him. I can see the body of the rude David had been cleaned up. Now it remains my head to leave my body, maybe then would I be allowed to face my judgement in heaven.
"Take the crown prince and lash him thirty strokes." He commanded and the men bowed.
"What?!" Arrogant prince sprang up in shock.
"And you all knows best not to make me angry." He added and immediately, the soldiers did what they were ordered to do.
"Let go of me, you rats. My father would burn you all in the fiery furnace. Let go of me now."
"Let's go." He grabbed my hand, pulling me out of the chamber. Oh, I can't believe this is actually happening right now. This must be a dream. Should I wake up from it? My eyes brushed the shinning armour in the silent passage. I thought perhaps if I hurt myself and feel the pain, I would be awake? I grazed my fingers on the sharp side of the armor and it gave me a deep cut.
"Ow!" I yelped. Oh, that hurts badly. Wait, I am still in this world? I am not dreaming?
He let go of my hand and quickly ran to check out my bleeding finger.
"What's wrong with you?"
He questioned, but I was lost looking at his face. So he is real. I am not in a movie, I am not dreaming, so this is actually real life. Real life death sentence in a fashion way!!!!
"Argghh!" I broke down in tears.
"What's wrong?" His brother questioned with a frown on his handsome face.
"You are also real uhn?" The tears flowed more. I am really doomed.
*
The brothers stared at the crying girl unbelievably. Devon sighed and Devan smirked. Now that she had realized she wasn't in a movie as she had thought, she actually think the best way is to cry. What would tears do exactly? What a weird girl.
While Devan, amazed by her actions. She is the only girl whom his brother hadn't killed. She is so irritating, even he felt irritated with her sudden tears and yelling. But also amazed by her boldness. A different girl or not, she should had fainted from the scene where the crown prince had killed David.
"Why are you so annoying?" Devon picked her from the floor, carrying her again like a sack.
"Let me go. Let me go."
"Shut it!"
He carried her out towards his horse. Devon placed her on his horse and rode off. While Devan smirked in interest.
"This would be fun." He also rode away, tailing behind.
***
Devon carried her into the mansion and dropped her on the wingback sofa where she rolled back down. She was still weeping and rolling and Devon was feeling more irritated by her actions.
"Stop making that noise."
Instead of seizing her tears, she increased it, and this time yelling.
Devon unsheathe his sword and immediately she kept shut.
"Thank you!" Devan sighed.
"You all are monsters. You people!" She pointed her fingers at the both of them. "You, and you."
Devan was greatly amazed at this. This is the first time he had seen someone say something like that to his brother without the Dragon reacting. Isn't she afraid of his brothers unapproachable gaze and most especially his sword?
"I am just a normal graduate, who has dreams of working in a good company where I can have a good pay. I told myself if I can't work as a accountant, I can perhaps work as a secretary and have a good house of my own. I had infact submitted my CV and my application letter, waiting for result. And suddenly my pop planned to get me engaged with that madman Ken. Only if I had accepted and stayed behind, I wouldn't have gotten myself in a deep mess like this. If I had said yes to the drunkard and hadn't disagreed with my father's suggestions, I wouldn't have gotten to see your ridiculously handsome face and your ridiculously dangerous world. Ughhh!!!"
"What an interestingly strange girl." Devan muttered.
"If you don't shut up now..."
"You are gonna do what?! What exactly are you going to do to me. Kill me, cut off my head? I dare you!!"
Devan scoffed this time. Oh wow, he wished the old dragon was here to witness this. He would have laughed his butts off.
"I dare you to do that." Tears steamed off her face, as she cried a little bit silently this time.
"Calm her down."
Devon stood on his feet and walked away leaving her with Devan who made a deep sigh.
Devan squatted before her, patting her back softly.
"Calm down girl."
"I am Leticia, my name isn't girl." She corrected him.
"Oh! Calm down Leticia, everything will be alright."
"And how will it be alright? I want to go back home."
"That, I don't know how you can do that. But I am very sure my brother does."
Leticia sat up well, grabbing Devan by the collar. Her eyes looked very determined, as she brought him closer to herself.
"Tell me, how can I get away from here."
"Wipe off your tears, then will I reveal to you."
She quickly wiped off her tears, then focused her gaze on him.
"The only way you can get out of here is through my brother. He is the only one who knows the way you passed into this world. He knows everything. And he will reveal it to you if you obey and do whatever he wants you to do. That's the only way you can get out of here."
"Your brother? But that guy is so arrogant and I have never seen a smile on his face.... I think he needs a punch on his annoying looking face".
