The green grass had been soiled and polluted by the mixture of dry human blood and black liquid. The lane was devoid of passers. No human was seen around the area, just insects and reptiles were present.
And coming to this path was the cussing little Leticia.
I turned my head to look at the man on a black horse beside me. He is so boring. He didn't even speak a word to me ever since we started our journey. It was like if he releases a word, he could be killed. Infact this black cloak I had been forced to wear by Devon itches. That man had the nerve to tell me I was naked, and with the normal clothes I was wearing, the bodyguard would loose focus on the road. This people are weird.
And the most weirdest thing was the fact that he made me pass this quiet and eerie place. I don't have a good feeling about this place. I wonder if it's Devon who had commanded him to pass this side of the road instead.
"Hey, what's the name of this path?" I wanted to know.
He turned his head to look at me, before turning back his head. "Klepnon." He simply replied.
"Oh." I replied back to him, before focusing on the road.
We both got to a place where I had to cover my nose cause of the stench. "Ew! What's this smell?"
He abruptly stopped the horse, and immediately, my horse also stopped, giving a rough gallop.
"What's wrong?" I looked around worriedly, then back at him. He looked around in a restless way. He suddenly grabbed his sword, unsheathed it and stood at alert.
"Reverse the horse now." He commanded, but how can I do that? This is the first time I am riding a real life horse.
"How do I do it?" His expression was like switched to panic mode as he hopped down his horse to help me.
And like a flash, two spears was thrown towards the both of us. I was able to dodge the first hit, but the man beside me wasn't able to.
I slowly turned my head to see real life horror. The man who was just speaking to me not a moment ago, was being split to half by something I can't seem to put my hand on. The spear can't simply cut someone in half, then what or who did this. Oh no, I need to get out of here.
I yelled.
I tried my best to turn the horse around, but it was like the animal was filled with an evil spirit. It wasn't complying. I didn't realize when I began to cry. I am really scared now. What if I am the next?
"Common horse."
The horse suddenly neighed, made a reared at the same time, pushing me off it's back. I roughly fell on a rock, hurting my head in the process.
The horse ran away with the other horse, leaving me there with a dead man beside me.
"No, come back." I wanted to run after it, but I was stooped by a tall man who stood in front of me. He was wearing a black robe and his face shows so many tattoos.
No, this is a bad man, I need to get away from here. I wanted to run to the other way, and again, I was being blocked by another man in black, who looked exactly like the one in front of me. And beside me too was another man, and at the other side to was another one with tattoos.
"No, please, please don't hurt me."
I sure was crying. I don't know who this people are. And they looked really dangerous and surprisingly irks of evilness. Who are they? What do they want with me?
"Take her." The one at my right side commanded.
I didn't know what got to me when I hurriedly picked up the a branch beside me and started to swing it at them.
"No, don't come. Don't come close to me." I kept swinging it side by side.
"Take her." I heard the voice again, and out of nowhere, I felt a hand resting on my back.
"No!!" I wanted to swing at the dangerous man, but I was hit instead.
I stumbled roughly at his feet, touched my face only to see it stained with blood. I am definitely going to die today.
"The dragon ring?"
"Let the dragon come for her himself."
And like a flash of time, I felt something hit my head, and black out.

Devon sat on his royal chair, as his eyes scanned the scroll with him.
He looked up at the door at the umpteenth time, looking restless.
"Why is she not back yet?" He wondered. He tried to concentrate on his work, but the thought of her being in trouble kept occupying his head.
He pushed aside the scrolls on the table, and immediately stood on his feet, still in distress.
The door was pushed open, revealing his brother, Devan.
"Brother?"
"Why are you here?"
Devan did not answer him, instead, his eyes wandered off to the leftover works he had on the table.
"You were working."
"Where is she?" Devon questioned and Devan raised his brows in question.
"Do you want to know why I am here or ask for your fiancee instead?"
"The other question, brother." He replied softly.
"I should be asking you that question brother. I sure left her at the mansion before I left to my condo last night. And now, you are asked me the question I am supposed to ask you brother."
"She left the mansion to tour the kingdom, and I permitted her to. She went out with Phil and she isn't back yet."
"And had it been for a while?" Devan frowned.
"Yes it had been for a while since she had left the mansion. I feel she is in trouble."
Devan held tightly to his sword.
"Permit me to go find her brother."
Devon moved his head in a very steady way, as he stared at his brother.
"I shouldn't have allowed her to go with Phil. She is definitely in trouble brother."
"Then permit me to go fetch her."
"You are permitted." "And bring her to me ALIVE."
