"M.... Master Marcos." Nicholas spoke with his head bowing. "Miss Alex does not want me to bring Anna here."
"You can go." Marcos answered to have the butler stare at him with excitement before walking out. Marcos glanced at his reflection one last time before walking out of the room to Alex.
When Alex saw him, her face beamed with happiness and she hurried to his side but Marcos did not come here for her.
"Anna....." He called out, to have Alex looked at him with sour expression.
"We should get you dressed up for the party." He walked closer to her and held her hand, making Anna look utterly embarrassed. We should get you dressed? Who are the we?
She was startled and when Marcos pulled her out of the room, she turned around to see Alex frown at her.
Alex was the only child of her parents who was killed by some humans after finding about their true identity. She took over her father's wealth and houses. Her life as demon was luxury as she always got what she want with just a snap of finger.
While everything was easy to claim, for years she hadn't been able to make Marcos fall in love with her. The two of them had been childhood friends and she fell in love with him as they grew up together.
She had been trying to make him fall in love with her but Marcos only liked her as a friend. When she saw Marcos with a maid in her house, she couldn't believe that another woman had come into the picture to compete with her. But this was not a person from the higher class but was a common maid. The thought made her more angry that a person from the lowest class would be dragging Marcos with her.
And worst, he wanted to dress her? When he had walked into the room, her mood had changed with the hope that he came to take her to the party but her excitement died when he called for Anna. Her hands turned into a tight fist as she watched them leave her sight.
When they reached his room, Marcos sat her down in front of the mirror. The two maids in there, stared at Marcos surprised that the person they would be dressing up was Anna and not Alex. But they didn't utter a word and instead they stepped forward to make her hair.
Their hands ran gently through her hair even though they wished to scrape her hair roughly. Victoria who was among the maiden's, glared at Anna through the mirror.
These few days she had been thinking of a way to tell Charlotte that she was no longer interested in working here.
Once they were done with her hair, they brought the white gown which Marcos had sent them to get. The white flowy gown was long and it made her look pure. Her hair was tied into a ponytail and she couldn't believe her transformation.
She had never been dressed in this kind of rich fabric before. The shoe she wore was white, complimenting her dress. Unlike her, Marcos wore a black shirt and long black coat, a black trouser and black gloves.
As they stepped out of the room, they met Lucian who had a smirk on his lips.
"M.... Master Lucian." She bowed her head.
"Seems like I was also invited for the graveyard party." His eyes trailed over her dress and it stopped on her bare shoulder. "And why are you dressed in all white instead of black?"
"That's how I want her to be dressed up. Who invited you to the party?" Marcos asked as they walked through the corridor.
"My date." He smiled.
"You have a date?" Marcos asked and Lucian hummed in reply before walking away.
Before they stepped into the carriage, Anna caught sight of a young lady in her early twenties coming out of a carriage. She was dressed in luxury clothes and there was a sweet smile on her face. Lucian walked towards her and placed a kiss on her cheek, making Clara who was standing behind him frown.
"You can go and continue with what you are doing, Clara. I will get back to you later." He said to the maid before entering the carriage with the woman.
Marcos stepped into the carriage and brought his hand for Anna to hold. She held his hand hesitantly before sitting on the carriage with him. Her heart skipped a bit as she wondered what would happen from here. For a maid like her to accompany the Master of the house to a party would raise gossips at her.
"What are you thinking in that small mind of yours?" Marcos asked as the carriage rode through the quiet rode.
"Nothing." She sheepishly replied before her eyes scanned through the tall trees. This was the first time she had entered a carriage like this. She had never gone to a party before as Lady Gaga do not have much friends.
