When Anna finished washing the dishes, she walked outside and locked eyes with Marcos. Walking upstairs, she met Elizabeth who was coming downstairs.
"I was looking for you. Victoria told me you were in the kitchen." Elizabeth spoke calmly.
"Yes." Anna nodded. "I was washing the dishes."
"I would like you to come with me for shopping in the market." Elizabeth smiled.
"Okay then." She followed Elizabeth outside the Mansion
She didn't want to go out to the market as it might raise alarm for the humans thinking she a fairy but she would have to go anyways, considering it was Elizabeth.
They walked outside the Mansion to the carriage before stepping in. When they reached the market, Elizabeth noticed it was different from the market she and Victoria had visited to buy groceries.
This market was for the wealthy people in the town who flocked around with their expensive clothing. The stores only sold goods of high quality and the place was neat.
"We should visit that store." Elizabeth pointed at a store selling bangles made from fine beads.
When they walked to the store, they were greeted by a chubby woman in her late thirties. She had a broad smile on her face.
"Wow you look so beautiful today." The woman commented.
"I can only put it in my brothers for spoiling me rotten" She glumly replied. Though she look small than the rest, she was more powerful and wealthy. Her family name alone could make the whole persons in this market fall on their knees. Her father used to be a wealthy man with different lands and own half of the market but sadly he died.
"How cute. Your brothers are quite possessive of you." The woman smiled.
"Is this your—" The woman's eyes moved to Anna who stood close to Elizabeth.
"My friend. Aunt Mary this is Anna." Elizabeth introduced.
The woman guided them inside the inner room and gave a nod to her sales person to continue selling for the others outside. They passed through many rooms until they were inside a particular room where the most priceless bangles and necklace in the market was found. There were also clothes lined up in the cupboard.
"They all look good." Elizabeth commented as her eyes went through the sets of necklace.
She walked past a pair of bracelet made of fine beads with rare colouring.
"That is one rare necklace. The colouring are gotten from the wings of a fairy when grinded. It gave it one unique colour." The woman said, noticing Elizabeth's eyes on the particular necklace.
Elizabeth slowly nodded her head before turning to Anna. "What do you think of it?"
"You are asking your maid to review something you are going to wear. How would a common maid like her be able to differentiate something if high quality." The woman glared at Anna, not liking the maid.
"It looks like you are not interested in selling your goods. I was hoping to buy good amount from you but I will take my leave now." Before Elizabeth could turn around to leave, the woman held her hand.
"I apologize. I never knew my words would—"
"Save it." She chimed.
"So can I get the necklace now?" Elizabeth asked. "I need two sets of the same necklace."
"Ohh yes." The woman hurried to package them.
Once they were done purchasing, they walked out of the store.
As Anna was about to enter the carriage, she subconsciously turned around to see someone familiar. She looked at the person clearly and upon recognizing who it was, her eyes widened with surprise.
"Victoria." She breathed. She saw Victoria wearing a black hat with the two wings which Elizabeth had gifted her.
She handed the wings to the old man who looked at it clearly. "Are you sure this is real and not fake?"
"It is. You can see how it is glittering." Victoria replied with a smile. The old man handed her a bag of coins before he left.
When she turned around, her eyes met with Anna. Shock ran through her face for a moment before she quickly turned around and left.
"Anna....?" Elizabeth called out from the carriage. Anna breathed out in shock, not believing Victoria would do such a thing to her. She had asked her previously if she had seen the wings but Victoria had denied it.
"I'm sorry." Anna bowed her head slightly before entering the carriage and sat down close to Elizabeth.
"You look shocked. Did you see something?" Elizabeth asked.
"I thought I saw someone." She forced a smile on her face.
When they reached the Mansion, Anna met Victoria in the kitchen and she walked up to her.
"Victoria....?" She called out but Victoria acted as if she hadn't heard her name.
"Why did you do that?" She demanded.
"Did what?" Victoria asked, acting unaware.
"You know what you did." Anna replied. "You stole the wings Elizabeth gifted me and sold it at the market. I never knew you would be such a bad person. If only I had learnt about you from the beginning."
Elizabeth grinned, not minding about anything. "Yes I stole it. You act as if it was useful to you."
"No it wasn't but it was a gift and I had to cherish it." Anna protested.
"Well....." Victoria breathed out. "I will be leaving a few days so you don't have to worry about anything."
She walked passed Anna and left the kitchen.
