She was sitting in front of her huge window; in this spot, she could see a wide area. The trees are tall, and the grass is dense.
She breathes heavily; she's not used to being there without her books.
How was her sister? Did her father tell her sister that she was trapped here? Did her sister know?
What about her father? Did her father finally come back home?
She's afraid—what if her father encounters the dark vampires?
She hugged her knees; into this dark world, she didn't know what to do. It's making her heart feel suffocated.
"Can I come in?" A cold voice suddenly spoke. She immediately looked to see where the voice was coming from.
"Y-Yeah." Prince Elon was there, standing in front of her door. She just looked away and continued to look into the distance.
"Your father is safe; he came back home alive." It looks like Prince Elon heard her thoughts.
Although she's glad that her father is safe, she hides her emotions.
Prince Elon walked towards her, aiming to reach her.
"What are you looking at over there?" he asks.
Nothing; there's nothing to look out here anyways." She frankly said, It's the truth.
It's just trees, grasses, forests, dark surroundings, and nothing else.
"Come," she's in shock when Prince Elon touches her hand. His hand was cold, and it sent a shiver into her body. "I'll show you something." Prince Elon helped her stand up from sitting in the window.
She was curious about what Prince Elon wanted her to see. What's interesting about the place anyway?
Prince Elon was holding her hands, and she can't complain.
They bumped into other vampires; they were looking at her, but there was something in their looks that she couldn't explain.
Their expressions were shocked and clueless. She didn't mind them and just followed the prince.
They walked for a few minutes when they suddenly stopped in front of a huge door. It's bigger than her room's door.
When Elon opened the door, she immediately closed her eyes for a sudden light to greet her.
"Omg! Wow!" Her voice echoed in a huge and fancy room; it was really wide!
"Plenty of books!" She ran inside due to excitement; her life was all about books. She really loves reading books that involve science.
"I knew you'd like it." Prince Elon said. He was now leading her to the door, watching her.
"Is this your library? You read?" She asked curiously while roaming her eyes. This library was huge. There's a lot of books everywhere. It looks like a hidden gem of the palace.
"Yeah, I live for so many years. Boredom might kill me." He walks slowly and reaches for a book.
"How many years have you lived here?"
"Enough, to find a hidden deity." Bailey looks to Prince Elon; there's something in this prince that she should know. She thinks that he had a lot of secrets, and now she's involved.
"You can read this all if you want; you have a lifetime to finish these books." Like the first time they talked, his voice was cold again.
"I didn't know that vampires are cold-speaking. I thought your body was the coldest." She said without even thinking.
"Wanna make my body heat?" Her eyes widened.
"Pervert!"
She heard him chuckle, and she was stunned for a moment. She didn't know that vampires chuckle too.
"Easy, I mean. You can just burn me if you want." He explained.
She rolled her eyes and took some books that she could read.
"Can I read here? It's cold in my room, but it's kind of warm here." Prince Elon looked at her for a moment and just nodded.
"It's your home now; you can stay wherever you want. It's all yours." Her eyes locked on Prince Elon's.
There was something in his eyes that she couldn't even explain. She didn't know if she could find whatever it was, but she's sure that something is strange.
"All the books?"
"All the books." He assured her.
If living with these books is forever, she'll accept that. She won't mind having vampires around as long as she has her books.
"Why didn't you bite me?" She suddenly asked when she noticed that Prince Elon was looking at her neck.
She's afraid that Elon wants to sip her blood, but she still has the courage to ask him why not.
"Can't bite you 'til our marriage." She frowned, here again the marriage.
"I'm young."
"I am too." She raised her eyebrows at what he just said.
"Really? I guess you're 500 years old at this time."
"Too much." Prince Elon smirked and came closer to her.
His head tilted a little, smelling her neck.
She swallowed because of the tenseness she sensed.
"Hmm, your neck smells good." She felt the tip of his nose in her skin. She suddenly felt a shiver running through her veins.
Her hands were holding her books tightly as she felt Prince Elon's lips touching her neck.
"I want to bite you so bad." His fangs suddenly came out, which made her feel nervous.
Is he going to bite her? Is he going to sip her blood? Is he going to brutally kill her?
Oh no, this ain't good.
"W-What happened to 'can't bite 'til marriage?'" she nervously asked while moving away slightly; she was being careful. She didn't want him to bite her.
"You tempt me." He smirked and gently touched her chin down to her neck.
"Don't worry, that will be mine soon. I'll taste you anyway." He kissed her neck and moved away.
She was stunned by the sudden move, and she couldn't react.
She was too nervous and scared at the same time.
"What just happened?" she asked, like she wasn't aware of what just happened.
She tempts him? Oh god! This was her fault?
She didn't know that he'd fall for that! She's just joking!
"Omg, it's a bad idea to joke around with Prince Elon!" She breathes heavily as she looks at the doors that are now closed.
