Chereads / Vampire's Hidden Blood / Chapter 2 - ENCOUNTER

Chapter 2 - ENCOUNTER

The rain is strong, and she couldn't help but feel worried about her father. The sky is loud because of the furious thunder and lightning.

She tried so many times to call her father, but she couldn't reach him. If she could contact him, he didn't answer.

She is restless, playing with her fingers. She feels dizzy thinking about where her father could have been.

She frustratedly sat on her bed and looked at the piece of paper that her grandmother had given her earlier.

"Okay, fine! I'll go there, but not because I believe what they are saying; I'll go there to find Papa!" She forced herself to convince herself.

The police station is far from them to report that her father is missing, but she wanted to try first to find him before telling the police. Later, it turned out to be in the other house; she was just embarrassed.

She went to her drawer and opened it, looking for the raincoat that she hadn't used in a long time.

She changed into thicker clothes to save herself from the cold. She also prepared the small backpack and put some clothes and even biscuits in it.

She didn't know if she would do it now since the rain was so heavy. But it seems that the night is too long to do it tomorrow; maybe if her father is in a bad situation, she will be too late.

The raincoat, flashlight, and even the map that will be her guide lay on her bed.

When she thought that everything was fine, she put on the raincoat and wrapped the map in a plastic cover so that even if it rained, it would not be wet.

She went out of the room, looking around to see if her sister and her grandmother were still awake. When she confirmed that they were in the room, she let out a breath.

"Good." She did not want them to know that she had left, as the rain was so heavy.

When she opened the door to go out, a strong wind and rain met her face. She closed her eyes and closed the door gently.

She slowly walked away from their house. The road was muddy because it had been raining for a while. The pathway there is not that wide because their barangay has not done it yet; also, the part of their house is too much in the jungle, so maybe it is not prioritized.

The cold was no joke because of the mixture of rain and wind, but she would not return to their house until she was with his father.

When she got out of the side of the road, she could hardly see anything; it was very dark around her, and there wasn't even a streetlight. She wanted to back out; she thought that she might get hurt too, but she took courage and continued walking.

She crossed the road and finally entered the wooded area. She always saw it, but she never once tried to go. Now she has no choice; she has to find her father.

"Papa!?" She was shouting; she didn't even know if anyone would hear her because the sound of the rain was getting stronger than her voice.

"Papa? Where are you?" She continued walking, not intending to beat the rain.

"Pa?" She continued to scream as the night deepened and the rain got heavier and heavier.

"Pa?--ouch!" She didn't notice the large root that was exposed, which caused her to fall to the wet ground.

"That hurts!" She complained about it; she didn't know why she was complaining at the root. They will not understand her.

"Papa, your trips are unpredictable. You can go anywhere, but why in the jungle!" she complained weakly and stood up again.

As she stood up, she heard rustling around her. Even though it was raining heavily, she couldn't escape the strange speed of action of anyone around her.

"Who's that!?" She shines her flashlight on whatever she's listening to.

"Papa?"

"Krrr" the strong sound of what made her hair stand up—that type of sound was new to her hearing.

She slowly retreated somewhere.

Fear immediately flowed through his heart as the noise he listened to increased.

"W-whatever you are, don't come any closer!" She quickly turned and ran, her heart beating so fast you'd think it would be ripped out of her rib cage.

"Crr!" the noise she heard grew louder and louder; it was its running marks she listened to. She sped up even more; it was a forest. How could she not have thought that there were many species of animals here?

She was not careful! She didn't think!

"Papa!" She was scared as hell; this was her first time being outside in their house, which is safer than here. It's like feeding yourself to the hungry animals in the forest!

She hit a tree that she didn't see was there, maybe because she was running so fast and the surroundings were so dark that the light of her flashlight was not enough, and she didn't notice it.

She fell down and grabbed her forehead.

"For fucking sake!" She felt the flow of something in her nose, she suddenly felt dizzy.

"Krrr," she almost lost blood from her body when she heard the strange sound nearby. How else could she escape?

Did her father die this way? How is she? How about her sister and grandmother?

She gradually faced him, feeling the approach of some creatures.

She felt a strange fear when she saw their eyes; they were red. They were like fox dogs, but they looked scarier. The teeth are so big that if they just stick to you, your bones will be removed.

These are monsters!

It turns out that what his father says about the monsters in the forest is true. It is true that they exist.

What else did it say that might also be true? She didn't want to think about it because she was making sure she wouldn't see them again. She will die tonight, too!

"Lord, send help... " Crying in fear of her behavior, she is not ready to die yet!

A terrifying monster was approaching her.

She closed her eyes and was terrified.

"Ahhh!"

"Argh!" She woke up suddenly when she heard the moaning of the monster.

She was surprised and took a step back when she saw a... person?

It holds the beast by the neck; it is lifted from the ground, and it seems to be struggling to breathe.

"You crossed the line." Her hair stood on end at his very cold voice, as if it were ice that was stabbed by the man's voice.

She looked at some monsters who were afraid to retreat and run. He just threw the monster; he was holding around his neck and ran again.

The fear in her heart disappeared, she survived the monsters now.

The stranger faced her, and her face almost lost color in shock at his appearance.

His eyes were bloody red, lit by her flashlight, and his face was hard and brave. She felt fear again.

Who is this, and what is it doing in the forest?
