Holding her pounding head, she got up because of the unfamiliar room. She even looked around because she might just be dreaming.
She immediately noticed that her body was no longer wearing the raincoat she was wearing earlier. She looked around after that.
It was wide but dark; only the light from fire torches served as light. There is a small table not far from the bed and a long sofa; other than that, there is nothing else.
She slowly stood up and approached the huge window. The rain had stopped, and it was deep into the night.
She looked out the window, but she couldn't see even a single person. She could only see the light from the torch from below.
She walked toward the big door. She thought, and she thought, why are there only big things here? Maybe giants live here?
She laughed, but her face immediately turned serious. Could there really be a giant? She did see a monster, maybe even a giant. What else could be true about what her grandmother was telling them?
She slowly walked towards the slightly open door. She peeked in there, and when she made sure that there was no one, she immediately came out.
The surroundings were dark; only light coming from the torches served as light in the wide hallway.
It's really like a big palace!
Even though she was inside, she could feel the strange coldness enveloping her body. She hugged herself while continuing to walk.
She heard a noise in the upper part of the place; it sounded like irons being struck. Her fur stood on end, so she immediately followed the source of the noise.
"Ugh!" Groaning as she climbed the stairs, she saw at the top a door that was slightly open. That's where the noise seems to be coming from.
"Let me out!" She immediately panicked when she recognized that voice; it was her father's voice! She quickly ran towards the open door.
There, her father appeared to her, lying on the floor with his hands bound in chains.
"Papa!" She felt dread but also joy in her heart to think that their father was still alive!
"Bailey!" She ran over to him, hugged him tightly, and immediately examined him. Its face has scars, and it also looks a little weak.
"What are you doing here? You can't get out of here!" The fears in the father's eyes were obvious, his voice was still trembling.
"You have to leave! Leave now!" She touched his face before shaking her head.
"I've been looking for you, Papa. Hailey is searching for you, too. I can't just leave you here now that I've seen you." She sadly told her father.
"Vampires have no heart; they're just looking for the right time to sacrifice a human body to the full moon!" Her hair stood up at what he said.
"V-vampire?" Was the man she saw in the forest a vampire? Was it a vampire that brought her to this place?
"Leave, Bailey. Leave!" Tears rolled down her cheeks; she shook her head hard and felt the chain that bound him. Maybe she can find a way to unlock it; she's smart! She should use her wits in such situations!
"No! I won't leave without you!" She desperately looks for something that can help her remove the chain.
"Leave now... I can handle myself." The tone of the father's speech became calm, so she only cried more.
"Hailey needs you, Papa. She needs you..." She said weakly as she tried to break the chain.
"We need you..." Her will is getting weak, but she still tries to remove the chain, even though it's impossible.
They heard a loud tickling, and she immediately felt the fluttering of nervousness in her chest.
"He's here, go away! Go away!" Even though the father was chained, he tried to push her, but it was too late.
"Where do you think you're going?!" His voice is cold as ice, his scary voice echoes in the room. Just now she saw it directly, and she almost fainted from its strange appearance.
He has pale skin, is tall and handsome, yet looks so dangerous. Its fangs were bared, its eyes burning with rage. Fear surged through her system. Was this a real vampire? Are they really in the tribe of vampires?
"P-please let us go..." She begged in fear; her knees bent, and she bent over. Not only because she was begging but because she didn't want to see his terrifying aura. It seems that at any time, it can grab them and kill them.
"Please, let my daughter go! I'm willing to stay here; let me be your prisoner!" Shaking, she looked at her father, a trace of fear in his eyes.
"No..." she said weakly, scared but feeling the right decision.
"T-take me instead, let my father feel his freedom. M-My sister needs him more than she needs me..." She closed her eyes and listened to their father forcefully removing his chain.
"No! Freedom without you two, my daughters, was not worth it! You don't have to do this!"
"Shut up!" She was once again discouraged by the vampire's terrifying voice. It's like his voice is a warning to her.
"I'll choose who I want." She was bent over and trembling, and she didn't know how to feel if it was her father he chose. What will she say to Hailey? All her life, she idolized vampires because of their grandmother's stories. How could she tell her now that the vampires would also be the reason they lost their father?
"Leave now, man." Her world almost stopped when she listened to what he said. Her father... the one who would be free?
"I want your daughter to be left here and be my wife." It was as if she was too deaf to listen to what he said; she didn't know what to do. She didn't know what to say. She couldn't move her mouth to at least say a word.
