Scarlet walked the lonely road home, her mind filled with so many things that has happened earlier. From a far distance, she could hear the church bell and she wondered what event it was they were having. She has never been to church before, or so she thought.
On getting home, she walked to the back of the house and she stood a few feet back from the tree that was beside her room. There, at the top, on one of the branches, she saw the black raven in the exact same spot and it stared back at her.
