Melanie's family is breaking apart and I am the only one not aware of it, Scarlet thought, sinking in the information she just heard from Johan. She never thought there could be another reason for her to not want to talk to her. She had thought it was because of Damien because she seem mad at her when she saw her the next day after that and now, she just realized that she wasn't even into Damien. She was only using him to distract herself from what is going on in her family. She felt sorry for her, for not realizing that was the cause, and for not being there for her.
"I'm sorry," she apologized and her eyes moved just a little bit down to see her holding her arm which she must have sprained after the impact. "Why didn't you tell me?"
