The car pulled up in front of the house and Mr. Baron turned off the engine.
"Scarlet," he called as her hand made to open the door.
Scarlet turned her head to face him and she could see his brows pull together. He seems to be worried about something.
"Yes, Mr. Baron?" She answered and wondered what it is he wanted to say to her.
"Your mother," he started and Scarlet could hear the seriousness in his voice, "she is worried about you. I heard from your principal that you caused trouble but she kept it from your mother because you asked her to."
Scarlet lowered her eyes, looking down on her lap and feeling guilty. She had been worried that her mother would think she was not okay…not normal, which she already started to realize that she isn't, but still, she couldn't let her mother know.
