Alexander allowed his gaze to linger on the letter that had been placed in front of him. He was hesitant to pull it open as he looked towards them with a raised eyebrow and a part of him wondering if they were being serious.
He watched as they exchanged looks with one another and he sucked in a deep breath and came to the realization that they actually were.
He slowly pulled it open and he came to notice his name that was plastered at the very top.
"Dear Alpha Alexander,
We have received word that you have led to the untimely end of a neighboring pack. The night howlers. The daughter of their Alpha has come to the council seeking retribution for what you have done to her and her pack. We are writing this letter in the hopes that you may see it and it will help you to come to your senses before we come for you. This is not a greeting but an order. You will not like us as much when we come to ask more pressingly." The letter read. He turned it over again and again as he looked over the contents with a raised eyebrow.
He hummed as he nodded his head trying his best to remain calm as he turned up to look towards his generals. "Well?." He asked and he watched as they turned to look at him with disbelief. He on the other hand knew much better than to panic or overreact. This was nothing new for him.
"The council is out to get you. They are calling for your head and you are calm. You are too calm if I must say." Alfred says to him and he can't help but let out a slight chuckle.
"Yes, well you can't expect me to throw a fit and to panic. So what if she went to them? It only means one good thing for me now and that is that I know she is still alive out there. I am going to find her." He says and he clenched his fist and tightened his jaw at the thought of him getting his hand on her.
She had been disrespectful. She had failed and was snitching and she was making a big mistake.
"You are still obsessed with her. How can you still see how bad what you are doing is? When are you going to open up your eyes and see the reality of how bad the damage you have done is". Alfred asked him in a hissing tone.
He only raised an eyebrow at him as he shrugged his shoulders. He didn't have anything to say to him aside from "Hmm" as he shrugged his shoulders. "Well she is my mate and you may not know this but when it comes to my mate I am willing to do anything and everything to get her. Whether she wants to return to me or not." He said to them firmly with a head nod.
"You can't be serious. You already had your mate and she died. It is time for you to put a stop to this madness once and for all and open your eyes. Whatever you are doing it is not right and you need to stop it now before it gets any further out of hand." Alfred said to him in a hissing tone.
He only chuckled at him in response as he shook his head. "But this had only begun. There is no end until I get my mate and I get what I want. She can't turn away from me forever. Eventually I will catch up to her". He said to them in a firm tone.
He watched as they widened their eyes at him and gulped deeply and he noticed how they did not dare to say anything else to him. He knew that in the end he was the Alpha and he was the one who was in charge. They had to listen to him whether they liked it or not.
"If this meeting is done I would like you to leave." He said to them. He focused his gaze specifically on Alfred and he waited for him to say something to him, anything really in retaliation.
He watched as he didn't say anything but only let out a sigh from his lips. He stood up from his seat feeling the wave of anger washed over him. He wanted to try and remain calm but he found himself struggling to do so.
When he headed to his room he slammed the door shut as he began to grade it. He couldn't believe that she had defied him in such a way. She had certainly been a very bad girl and she had made the worst decision. He was going to make sure that she regretted what she had done greatly.
There was nothing that she would be able to do once he came for her. She wasn't going to know what had hit her. He pulled open his table side drawer and he pulled out the orb that the council member had given him.
It was a way for him to be able to contact them at the time of trouble. He watched as the orb lit up and he heard the sound of a bit of commotion on the other end.
"What is it? You weren't given this thing just so that you can use it when you feel you can It is only when you have gotten the job done". He hissed.
Alexander chuckled. "Well, we have a problem. Why didn't you tell me that Erica came to see you?" He asked.
He heard silence on the other end. "I hoped that I would be able to diffuse the situation before it got any further out of hand but we have run into a bit more trouble seeing now as she is mated to Sev."
He said and Alexander felt his blood run cold.
