He sat still in his chair as he clenched and tightly held his fist. He looked down towards his bruised knuckles as he cursed himself internally again.
He couldn't believe that he had allowed himself to lose control. All for her.
She was the woman that made him throwing all caution to the wind. He had never thought about marriage to anyone before. Not even his on mate. At least not until he had met her.
She tested him in ways that no one else ever did. She was a picture of innocence and she was a part of him that he wasn't aware was even there. The moment he had seen her, the moment that he had set foot into her pack he knew that he wasn't going to let her go.
She was going to be his. He had tried to be a gentleman. Had even gone as far as trying to get help from a witch in order to convince her that she was his and the only one that she should care about was him.
But it seemed as though none of that seemed to work. It frustrated him more that he wanted to confess and he felt as though he had no control of their union.
And it was true she was never going to want him. Nor with his cold and hard exterior. And so he knew that the only way to ensure that he was going to be able to get her under his control was for him to force her.
He had proposed to her and had tried to force her father to hand her over to him. Her father had always been a stupid fool. He was never one to think things through and he had told him "no". In front of the entire pack. He had made a huge mistake by embarrassing him.
And it didn't take him long before he made the decision to kill him and destroy the pack once and for all.
He had considered killing her as well. But that would have been too easy for her. He wanted her to suffer and be in pain the same way that he was. And so he left her. He wanted her to know that he was here and she was the reason why everything had happened.
After he had left the pack as nothing more than a pile of ash he had turned on his heels and left . He tried to convince himself that he didn't want her. He told himself that he had stopped thinking about her and he cared none for her.
But he was wrong. Now it has been almost two weeks and she still seemed to linger in the back of his mind. She was like a scent that he couldn't get off no matter how hard he tried and even now she was driving him absolutely crazy.
He was helpless against the hold that she had on him and he didn't know how to get her out of his head.
Alexander was pulled out of his thoughts when he heard the sound of a knock on his door. It felt as though he had been pulled out of his thoughts as he cleared his throat before watching as his Beta stepped in.
He was shaky in his steps and he couldn't help but grin at the sight. He knew he was afraid and he found himself reveling in the sight of his fear.
"What is it." he asked him through gritted teeth. Although he enjoyed his discomfort he didn't like time wasting and he wanted to see people get straight to the point.
"Sir, I believe that the generals wish to see you." He said to him in a low whisper.
He sucked in a deep breath as he nodded his head at him in response before standing up. When his generals called for a meeting it was hardly ever for something good. He tried to keep his hopes up but he wasn't too sure that he could.
He sucked in a deep breath while he tried to stay positive. He made his way towards the room and he tried to stop the shaking of his hand. He wondered if she was still alive. If she had managed to make it out.
He shook his head at the thought as he was quick to snap out of his thoughts. It was no time for his thoughts to linger and for him to show weakness. He hardened his gaze as he pulled open the door and stepped inside.
He watched as the generals all turned their gazes towards him. They looked cautiously towards him. "Well what is the meaning of this". He called out.
He watched as they flinched slightly before gesturing for him to take a seat. "We are concerned about you Alpha. You're not acting much like yourself. You have been erratic and you have made rash decisions". He heard Alfred say and he didn't like his tone.
"If you are insinuating my relationship with Erica, you know why I did it. I wasn't about to take no for an answer. She was disrespecting me and you know that I can't allow that." He said to them in a hissing tone.
"So are you saying that anyone that disobeys you. Anyone that shows an ounce of disrespect you are going to attack them." He said and he only smirked at him in response.
"Well only if that is what it takes. But would you like to test me and find out". He hissed as he squeezed his hand into a fist.
He watched as he gulped as he sickened in a deep breath before he lowered his head. Alex couldn't help but grin at the sight. He was glad to see that he was keeping himself in check.
But just before he could revel in his victory he watched as he pulled out a letter. "Well then now you can tell that to the council." He said, sliding the letter towards Alex.
