For a moment Helena remained immobile, her body vibrated at a slow pace. Who knew if she was shaking with excitement or worry. She was after all about to pass through the doors of the most popular guild in all of Silvershade.
"Here goes nothing."
She took a deep breath and opened the double door, the Crimson Heart guild was erected in the middle of Silvershade. Several guilds spread out across the wide kingdom each at least hundreds or thousands of meters away from each other. This particular building had the insignia of a flame carved on its walls. The mark of flame represented the Crimson's heart guild.
Almost instinctively Helena crouched to her feet the second she opened the door, a chair flew over her head swiftly. She was lucky, being average in height that chair would have connected directly with her forehead assuming she didn't make a move.
"Huh!?"
There was an uproar within the guild, she looked closely at the doors she opened wondering if it was soundproof or something.
"Take that back you bastard!."
"Ha I die!."
Two boys most likely 18 upwards exchanged fists in the middle of the guild, the other guild members laughed at their dispute. It was always like this in Crimson Heart.
"Oh a visitor?"
A voice reached out to Helena's ears, very much alarmed she turned to her side and her eyes met with the radiant smile of a beautiful woman, her eyes reflected that of a goddess and her smile brightened up the mood of everyone whenever she was around. The woman that her eyes met with was Rachel, the same Rachel I saved from Xerxes years ago.
While I went on to train under a sex-driven lunatic five years ago, Rachel who already possessed a vast knowledge of the magical arts and honed her abilities joined the Crimson Heart.
"Hi, I'm Rachel, Can I help you with something?"
She questioned Helena. The guild's insignia which was of a flame was tattooed on her neck, this was a mark to identify all the members of Crimson Heart.
"Um is the master of this guild around..?"
Rachel shaked her head in declination, the master of the Crimson Heart guild wasn't always around, half of the reasons was majorly centered around him being summoned by the council as a result of Crimson's activities. Whoever held the title of a master in Crimson Heart should always be prepared for trials and in rare cases imprisonment.
In their recent quest, four guild members had wrecked the capital of Embulund in an attempt to complete their jobs.
"The master isn't around right now, anything I can help you with?"
SPLASH!
Helena had her fingers over her mouth greatly astonished, water dripped from the white hair of Rachel slowly down her back. This felt like deja vu all over again only this time I'm not in Crimson, some things never change.
Retaining the smile drawn on her face, she turned her head over her shoulders with her eyelids shut and asked a simple question.
"Who..did that?"
"Uh.."
"Uh.."
The guild members present all remained speechless realizing the consequences of wetting in the hair of one of the strongest women in Crimson Heart, Rachel's hair elevated like a witch about to lay a damning curse on her victims.
"Please I need your help to retrieve the Heaven's paradice!"
Helena wasted no time in pleading for help.
Just like that everyone who heard the plea of Helena stared at her with great concern written all over their faces.
"Huh."
Picking up another voice from her side, Helena turned to face it's source and was met with a young man in a white tank top and blue trousers. Crossing his arms he stared down at Helena with a bit of annoyance.
"Why is someone like you going after something like the Heaven's paradice?"
"Now now Cedric, no need to be rude to a customer, besides why are you so gloomy this early into the day?"
This man right here is Cedric Echoearth, he tends to solve his problems by charging head on at it. He had his guild mark on the side of his upper left arm.
"Where's Storm Bringer!?"
"He hasn't returned Cedric, you know how he is."
Rachel returned her attention back to Helena, the heaven's paradice as the main focus right now.
"Why are you searching for the Heaven's Paradice?"
A great question indeed, I thought she was the rightful owner to inherit the paradice but she doesn't even have it at hand?
"I can't let them have it, I just can't let Tendon Seis get their hands on the paradice!"
The room fell into an eerie hush as a sudden wave of shock washed over everyone present. Wide-eyed, they stood frozen in place, their expressions a mix of disbelief and surprise. The air seemed to thicken as jaws dropped and eyes darted between one another, seeking confirmation that what had just occurred was real.
"D-did you just say..T-tendon s-seis?"
Cedric once held captive by annoyance was now taken over my absolute disbelief.
"What does a dark guild like Tendon Seis possibly intend to do with the Heaven's Paradice!?"
He snapped, Helena was very much confused. Her only objective was to retrieve her family's hidden treasure, but with the way the mages of the Crimson Heart reacted it made her more concerned about the possibility of what will happen if eventually, Tendon Seis acquires the sacred treasure.
"Enough talk, Cedric come with me. The rest of you try not to do anything reckless till master returns, you already have him hanging by a rope as it is."
"Okay count me in!"
Rachel and Cedric both walked past Helena who was left dumbfounded at the sudden turn in events, turning to face their backs she couldn't help but to question the current situation.
"W-wait! Where are you going!?"
"Huh?"
Pausing their movements, the two crimson members glanced over their shoulder's at the confused Helena.
"Ain't it obvious? We are going to retrieve the Heaven's Paradice before Tendon Seis has the chance to."
Cedric spoke swiftly, for some reason he wasn't in a good mood when he woke up this morning.
"Well come on, let's get going."
Inviting Helena, Rachel radiated a smile which sent a warm feeling down the stomach of Helena, with two members of Crimson Heart helping her, it felt comforting knowing she'd be able to retrieve her family's sacred treasure.
"A-alright!"
With a shout of approval she followed from behind as they set off to find and retrieve the Heaven's Paradice.
"Good Luck Rachel!"
"Hold Cedric by a leash!"
"Try not to destroy another town!"
The other member's of the Crimson Heart gave them all a send off based on their previous accomplishments.
"So tell us um.."
"It's Helena, but you can call me Helen."
Chuckling nervously, Rachel retained her smile at Helena before finishing her previous statement.
"Okay Helen, where is the Heaven's Paradice located?"
Helena faced forward for a moment in an attempt to remember the exact details, the location of the heaven's paradice was passed down through her bloodline as a folktale.
"According to the legends, the resting grounds for the Heaven's Paradice is deep beneath the dark forest of Aethercrest. Hidden within a box deep in the pyramid of Solarius, the goddess of the sun."
Things were about to go sideways for the trio and not in a funny way.
"According to the legends, Solarius the fallen goddess of the sun descended upon the earth and erected a temple in the form of a pyramid, in that temple multiple treasures were hidden with the heaven's paradice being one of the greatest there is. However as a sign of her love for the mortal she fell in love with, she left behind an information on how to obtain one of her greatest divine treasures. The heaven's paradice which was passed down in his bloodline, the Kohana bloodline."
As interesting as the adventure sounds in their ears, they knew all too well to acquire the heaven's paradice meant trespassing into the domain of a god.
"This ain't dangerous at all."
Cedric spoke sarcastically, trying to shed a bit on hope on their survival.
