"Damn it all..."
I laid on the ground with my back and my face was turned upwards gazing at the sky. My hands and legs were stretched sideways as I gasped occasionally. Who knew training to build up magical power was this tough?
"Man your pathetic."
Xerxes laughed out loud after speaking those words, he stood up from his chair and walked right past me with his hands placed over his head and on his neck.
"Rest for a while, you've drained every ounce of stamina you had trying to build up your magic."
As he spoke a soft sigh was released from my mouth, I knew it wouldn't be easy but what kind of man would I be if I gave up straight away.
With Xerxes gone I got up to my feet before tapping on my clothes attempting to remove the dust particles from it.
I looked over my shoulders and gazed upon the damage my attack from earlier dealt to a part of the forest.
I squeezed my right fingers into a fist and raised it towards my face before I spoke to myself.
"I'll get there, I did it once I know I can do it again."
Those were the words I used to encourage myself after all that had just transpired. I walked back towards the Inn and I thought It couldn't be more crowdy and noisy than it already is.
[Hours later]
"Yeah!! More beer!! More beer!!"
I stood at the door as Xerxes regulars were drunk to the core, Xerxes on the other hand seemed to be drunk as well as he was seated right in their middle.
He raised his cup in the air and yelled loudly, his voice echoed throughout the whole Inn and I was left dumbfounded at what he announced.
"Beers on me! Rachel give us two rounds of the booze!."
"Yeah!!!!."
It was like the Inn itself roared to anyone who approached it from the outside. All the men in it roared as free drinks were ordered.
Unfortunately, at that time they were so drunk that one of the men accidentally bumped into a muscular 6"0 man at the counter.
"What's your problem fool!"
The muscular guy extended his right hand and pushed him backwards by his shoulders and he fell to the floor.
"...."
I mumbled quietly to myself at what had transpired instantly. The man that fell to the ground groaned a bit as the floor was made of wood. His eyes twitched before he picked up an empty bottle laying on the ground and got up to his feet.
"Your my problem bastard!"
In his drunken state, he jumped towards the face of the seemingly large man and smashed the bottle at the side of his head.
The large man fell to the ground along with the pieces of the now broken bottle, it felt like an earthquake occured as the bottle was shattered on his head, that is to the victim.
"Yeah!!!"
All the man roared excluding Xerxes who was to drunk to even keep his head straight. The man who knocked out the giant immediately received a right cross at his right. The impact took him off his feet and he went over the counter.
"Fight!!"
An uproar began and everyone began exchanging blows, they broke chairs on each other's backs, smashed bottles on their heads and worst of all they broke the tables that Rachel had cleaned.
"....."
I still stood at the entrance to the Inn and was speechless, especially since Xerxes sat there drunk while they literally ripped his Inn apart bit by bit.
"My my, you'll get used to it in time."
Rachel spoke as she carried a tray and dropped it on the table Xerxes sat next to, he was the boss after all and he did order for two rounds of tequila.
Wait a minute, did she just say what I think she said?
"Used to it? You mean this is a regular thing?"
Rachel smiled innocently and closed her eyes. She gave out this "Things are about to go south vibes" which sent chills down my spine. One thing I took note of when I first got here, have fear for water mages.
Speaking of fear that moment she smiled, two bottles yet to be opened were thrown sideways from where Rachel stood.
They collided in the air right above her and shattered spilling it's contents all over her.
I staggered backwards as I felt like I knew what was coming next. There's always this feeling you get when you know it's the end for you.
"Oh..."
Rachel still had that innocent smile on her face but after a few seconds it was turned upside down and here eyes opened instantly, it was filled with anger as she reeked of beer.
"Water wheel..."
She said in a low tune and joined her hands together, a blue light emanated from the side of her hands as huge magic circles were formulated from all sides of the Inn.
"...."
I stood speechless and eventually I tripped to the floor trying to run backwards, I stood up immediately attempting to run but it was already too late.
From the magical circles, high volumes of water gushed out from them and it filled the Inn, water gushed out from every window, doors and even escaped right through the roof.
All the men yelled including me as we were swept out of the Inn with the currents, some through the door, others through the roof and windows. I was already at the door so you could say I was the first victim.
Xerxes however was swept towards the entrance of the door and was held there, he laughed softly before Rachel stretched her left hand towards him.
From three of the magical circles she shot out highly pressurized amounts of water which blasted Xerxes through the door and out of the Inn.
By the time Rachel came to be and she had already calmed down, water was dripping from literally every corner of the Inn even the ceiling. She put up that innocent smile and shut her eyes yet again.
"Oh my, seems I've gone and destroyed the Inn again."
Outside the Inn, we were all on the ground. My eyes rolled as I could barely see. Water dripped from my hair as I questioned my thoughts.
"Where the hell..did Xerxes find Rachel?"
Literally every bottle of wine in stock laid outside the Inn, most were intact while some shattered.
Have a bit of fear for water mages and for women, even if not fully still do not piss them off. I said this before haven't I?
