Trago was the best when it came to magic circuits in the academy. Prospect had informed him earlier about Henry's expansive wisdom. He came over to judge Henry with his own eyes.
To his surprise, he witnessed the most shocking event in his life! Henry modified the defensive magic circuit of the academy and obviously made it better.
The ability of magic circuits to accept and reject wrong modifications was not something to be taken lightly. Nothing was happening when Henry started modifying the magic circuitry earlier. That meant Henry altered it perfectly!
Trago was astonished and baffled.
"I increased its efficiency. Some parts can be simplified further. I can't fully fix it without overhauling the whole magic circuit, so this is the best I can do."
Henry raised his eyes and stared at Trago. His words made it seem that his modifications were done without any effort.
"A genius! Y-you're inhuman!"
This was an unforgettable moment for Trago, aware that he wasn't the best in magic circuits, but this was still too much of a difference for him to comprehend.
"All credits go to my master." Henry humbly smiled.
He shoved everything to his nonexistent master. It was easier than to explain how he gained his knowledge of magic circuits.
"I would like to have the honor to meet your master in the future!" Trago exclaimed.
Trago strived for improvement. Even if he didn't teach anything, he would be fine if he only saw Henry's master.
"My master is not accepting any disciples."
Henry shook his head. This problem was becoming common. First, it was the shameless twins, and now it was a magus teacher of the academy.
"I-is that so…"
Trago had no intention of taking Henry's master as his own master, but he knew that it was a refusal, so he didn't try to clarify further.
"How many contribution points does that give me?"
Henry was about to leave when he remembered his goal and the reason why he came here in the first place.
"Contribution points? You did that for those??" Trago's cheeks twitched.
Henry was too much for him to handle. In his mind, contribution points were nothing. The only reason they existed was because the academy needed to motivate students.
Improving the defensive magic circuit of the academy could not be paid with measly contribution points.
"I want to read the books in the principal's library."
Henry didn't hide his intentions.
"Oh. From now on, you don't have to worry about that! You have done great service for the academy! To hell with having you represent the academy! You need to be a magus teacher instead!"
Trago couldn't contain his excitement. He believed that Henry was a great asset to the academy. If he taught the students, there would be an overflow of successful graduates.
"No, thank you. I'm leaving," Henry said and waved his hand.
He left and didn't look at Trago again. He had more important things to do than to teach random students.
Trago took a deep breath and contained his excitement. He looked around at the other students and cleared his throat.
"All of you, modify the blueprints accordingly!"
The students' faces went white after hearing the order. They thought it was time to rest, but instead, they were given a load of work. Envy filled their hearts towards those who left much earlier.
…
Henry found Felicia in the Magic Circuit Maintenance Building. She was sitting on a chair while taking notes in front of the blueprint.
She didn't notice as Henry stood behind her.
"You're making adequate progress, but that's still too slow."
"Nya!?"
Henry's sudden voice startled Felicia like a cat. She looked behind her and saw his calm eyes judging her.
"What did I do wrong, Master?" Felicia asked while feeling wronged.
She had been diligently studying since earlier. She thought she was making decent progress. It had to be noted that she didn't have any prior knowledge of magic circuits.
"What does this part do then?"
Henry softened his voice. He could tell she was diligently studying based on the amount of notes she made.
"It connects to an external item and utilizes its abilities!" Felicia confidently answered.
Her smile was smug, her posture straight, and her confidence told Henry she was sure about her answer.
"You're right. I have an idea about this external item. I need more time to confirm it."
Henry was too happy once he heard Felicia's answer. She was 100% correct. He didn't judge wrong.
Felicia was meticulous when it came to studying. She made sure she comprehended a lot of knowledge before proceeding to the next subject.
"Thanks!"
Felicia relaxed. She was confident in her answer, but hearing his confirmation dissolved any of her leftover uncertainties.
"Study that more. You made lots of progress. I was just testing you."
Henry appreciated a great disciple.
"Yes! I'm learning quite a lot, actually."
Felicia didn't stop earlier because the blueprint still contained a lot of information she needed to uncover.
These were all easy for Henry because he had an intuition with magic circuits. His lifetime of experience meant that Felicia needed to do a lot of studying in order to reach his level.
"You can stay here or return later. It's your choice."
"I'll study. I think… magic circuits are interesting!"
Henry looked her up and down. She was now full of life and goal-driven. She had stopped focusing on her past. The future was the only thing in front of her.
After a few seconds, Henry smiled and walked out of the building. He didn't say anything to her. He was too happy.
If he praised her now, he worried she would become complacent and lose this feature she just gained!
Felicia was stunned when he left her like that. She balled her hands and stared at the blueprint with determination.
"Where's Henry!?" Trago asked loudly as soon as he entered the building.
He spent some time confirming the modifications were functional and then rushed here to look for him.
