Mar leaves the cave with a blank expression on his face, he had learned about magic, the devastation of humans outside of the dungeon, and the time that has passed outside. It has already been two years outside and the longer it takes for Mar to kill the dungeon boss, the more years will pass. As Mar had gotten up to leave, he had asked the dragon's name. The dragon had replied, "I shouldn't tell you this, for many reasons, but my name is Ivarion the 3rd." Mar smiled and thanked the man as he walked out of the cave. Now he regrets leaving so quickly, he has so many more questions for the dragon but so little time. Mar knows that he must go to the next cavern. When he had asked what the final boss of this dungeon was, the dragon replied, "a C tier ice golem guards the portal that allows one to exit the dungeon." He then said, "You will encounter the ice golem after the next cavern."
This means Mar has two caverns to go, one with an unknown enemy and another fighting the final boss, the ice golem.
With his bow in hand, his dagger ready to be unsheathed and a singular arrow poking out of his quiver, Mar is ready to go. After he takes a quick sip of water from the lake, he goes through the tunnel, leading him to the next cavern. The icy wind is even worse in this tunnel, the dragon had said that the tunnel, "tests", the one, or many, attempting to clear the dungeon in the tunnels. Which means that this is only a taste of the ice golem's true powers. Mar is yanked out of his thoughts when an icicle starts flying his way. Mar quickly dodges and keeps running forward with magic channeled into his whole body and his cloak shielding him at the helm. This strategy works perfectly for Mar as the worst part of this dungeon's tunnel section is its mind-numbingly cold wind that prickles the skin and saps your energy. With the cloak protecting Mar from the wind, and Mar dodging the occasional icicle, Mar made it to the end of the tunnel with relative ease.
Mar takes a step into the cavern and feels his body relax as the icy wind stops completely. Mar takes a look around his surroundings and sees another forest-type cavern. The pattern of these dungeons was getting repetitive. Mar slowly made his way towards the center of the forest while looking for animals or monsters. This cavern had less wildlife than the one with the wolfpack and made Mar feel eerie. Once Mar made it to the middle of the forest, he figured out why: a big group of small green humanoid monsters, "Goblins, I think." Mar remembers their name from old popular fantasy movies. He doesn't know if he watched those movies but he knows that goblins were a type of monster. As Mar entered the cavern while it was dusk, it was almost fully dark, but Mar is able to move magic towards his eyes to see clearly in any environment. Mar sees 11 normal goblins and one goblin with a staff which looks like the leader of the group. The goblin leader has its own hut, this made it perfect for Mar's plan.
Mar heads back to the entrance of the cavern and finds a tree with a nice big branch to sleep. He hadn't slept in over 20 hours and it was time he did so. Mar needs to be at his peak to take on the goblins and then, the ice golem. Mar climbs up onto the tree and sleeps around 4 meters off of the ground. He drifts off to sleep thinking about earth and what it will look like now that so much has happened. He peacefully sleeps for several hours until he wakes up, he has to pee. "Drinking all of that water before bedtime, was a great idea", Mar says with a smile. He needed something that would wake him up in the middle of the night so that he could assassinate those goblins. Mar finishes his bathroom break and walks over to the base of the tree, he stashes his bow and quiver, in between some big tree roots and covers them with a pile of leaves. He won't be needing these for anything but the ice golem fight. The fight with the goblins was going to be all with his dagger.
Mar slowly and quietly makes his way towards the center of the forest, if he had to estimate, the goblin's camp is around a mile away or one and a half kilometers away. Pretty far before humans had magic, but now, channeling magic through his body, Mar feels as if time is slowed, as his whole body speeds up. Mar is able to calculate where and when his feet land making sure he makes no sound and still makes good speed. Mar cannot afford to waste any time, every four minutes in the dungeon, a day passes on earth. Mar quickly approaches the center of the forest and slows down. This assassination has to be perfect, Mar is not sure he can handle 11 goblins at once, he must quickly and quietly kill every goblin and then fight the goblin mage one on one.
